i think MAF sensor is the problem.. cos i could see the oxided IC like thing when i open the throttle body circuit. this my throttle body.. will scanning give me what is the real problem.. if MAF is the problem is it available in the market.. or should i have to replace the whole throttle body... ? -

mine is a manual.. and my area is kegelle. im always driving off the town.. never rev up above 2000rpm. then there should be problem hah? -

i cnt b machan... 2 of my friends have da same manual models. both of them does abt 12-14.5 km/ltr. if i heavy foot with Ac.. mileage drops abt 7 to 8... i think itz the time to see da previous owner.. and .. em... -
Hi.. My car is a Nissan Sunny fb14, 1500cc petrol, manual transmission, 210k on odo, 1997 Yom. Problem is its high fuel consumption. It does abt 9.5km/ltr. Done an efi cleanup (not ultrasonic) and tune-up recently. Fixed New Air filter and fuel filter. I normally drive 7kms in the morning and back to homein the evening. (No traffic blocks average speed abt 60km/hr) Lower AC usage (turn on and off when required). With AC, Idleing is ok but when going in uphill I feel more vibrations. Previous owner has open the Mass Air flow sensor circuit (located on throttle body) and when I open that I could see a tiny IC like thing had gone bad. No engine check lights, black smoke, Oil burning, idle rpm fluctuations, misfires. I think pulling power is ok.. (without ac). No lose connections of wiring. All suggestions are welcome….. what is the best should i do.. thankz..

hi friends.. My car is a Nissan sunny fb14 97 Manual model.200k + on odo. Few days ago I have cleaned the efi, throttle body and done the engine tune up. fixed new Air and Petrol filters. Mechanic set rpm to abt 750. At that moment it was working fine. But at the moment problem is idle rpm fluctuates (without engaging AC, Head Lights or power steering). Most of times idle rpm is 1400, sometimes it stays abt 1200 or come back to normal 750. If I depress the accelerator when rpm is at 1400, rpm drops and then increases. Please consider following facts Previous owner has open the MAF sensor circuit, this time my mechanic reopen it and clean the circuit using contact cleaner. I saw that some tiny transistor like things had gone bad. (Mechanic said its not a problem.. ) When is touch the wire of Throttle position sensor rpm changes, when I disconnect the socket of throttle position sensor engine comes to normal rpm (750). bt sometimes it doesn’t. when i stard the engine without Tps idle is fine. bt some times it doesnt.. There ar no warning lights on meter panal. what should I do.. scanning?? or change the throttle possition sensor. ?? any suitable place in Kurunegala for this...?? Thankz..... F1... F1... today i contact mr kanchana. seemz he is a good mechanic. bt he doesn't have scanning tools. my car Nissan fb14. i have done the efi & throttle body clean up from a another place. that mechanic set idle to 750rpm. bt nw problem is car idle changes. some times it runs 1400 rpm, some times 500 rpm. most of times it idles around 1200 rpm. (with out ac). sometimes i can run the car without depressing the accelerator.. seemz i hav a sensor problem.. will he fix ma problem or what should i do??? thankz bro..

thankz bro.. can i clean evap core @ home.. i mean jst remove cover and clean evap panal.. normally im runnin with Air recirculation is turned on. so is it essential to fix a cabin filter.. i kno some vehicles of my frnds ar runnin without it..most of them ar dont even kno abt that..

hii... seemz this is a dead topic. anway... my car is fb14 97 super saloon. i noticed that excessive dust comin thrugh ac vents. when i check the cooling unit i got 2 know that itz cabin filter has removed and jst close the cover, there are many dust, leaves and even polythene particles cloged on evaporator panal. can somebody tel me are the cabin filters available for this model? brand new or recon? what will be the cost... do i hav to buy the whole cooling unit? thankz..

who is he... is he a mechanic or a customer... . according to Mr. sylvis video is that the normal procedure of cleaning injectors. in ma case what should i do.. get done the tuneup only, or clean da efi and fuel system... thankz...

ya machan.. datz true. ma major problem is bad fuel consumption. it does 8-9 km/ltr. since itz a manual it should do more though im a heavy footed. my frndz one does 14km/ltr. other one is the knockin sound as i mentioned earlier. i guess this car hasn't tuned up for 2 or 3 years. i used Wurth injection cleaner and mixed directly to fuel tank. seemz it ddnt work much fo me... :'( what should i do.. go for a another can of wurth or engine tuneup.....

abt 200k in Odo. 97 fb14 manual. engine seemz ok, pulling power ok, fuel drinkz. abt 9km/l. Engine knocks when i press and release the accelerator again & again. what is the normal idling rpm value should be? there are some excessive vibrations when idling.. specially when i use AC.

thankz machan, 2day i asked from Auto world kurunegala over the phone, they said that they are using ultrasonic machine and labour will be abt 5500/=. is it reliable? and tel me more abt ultrasonic efi cleaning.

hi.... i used wurth on ma fb14 yesterday. in da can it says mix 1 can with 50 ltrs of petrol.. bt at da moment there was abt 25 ltrs in tank and i jst mixed wurth. seller said itz ok no harm.. will it damage engine parts....

Machan.. go for a car which is most commonly available in Sri Lanka (im talkin abt used jap cars..). then there will nt be trouble in finding spare parts, Skilled mechanics and selling the car again. Natural selection is also applicable for vehicles. if some vehicle model is popular in here, there must be a reason(or more). anway jst go for a popular model, then u will be happy with ur purchase. (coz i do... ) -

machan the problem is how can i prove the genuine mileage.. i kno its 160k, but when it come to a buyer .. will he believe me.? i can show the old odometer. Cnt see the mileage..bcoz itz digital...
