  1. Lime green..... mean green machine if its packing 300 bhp for such a small car.
  2. I have always liked the Lamborghini since I was small, but cant single out one specific model, as all of them are hot. That car is very aggressive looking ( wide & low ) and the basic shape still continues.
  3. Have a look at this , it will show how different it is. Just run with it for now but in the next replacement just put the same tyres. Preferably the smaller ones as my guess if that seems the original tyre http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator
  4. Thanks, that explains a lot. I was not aware they had taken off the orignial Xtra Premium which they introduced.
  5. I was checking the LIOC site and they mention the 90 and 95 as Lanka petrol ( which means they buy it from CPC ) and Xtra Premuim ( Which maybe directly imported by them ) which is 93 or something better than the Lanka 90. But I am sure that I have seen at most pumps they have mentioned Xtra Premium 95. I must check this again next time I pump. Anyway if what you say is correct they will have a total of 4 types of petrol. I was pumping from Laughs all this time but was forced to change to IOC since moving jobs.
  6. A jig is sometimes used to straighten a bent chassis, but you need to establish exactly what is bent, the cost will depend a lot on that. Anyway most big garages will have one, that's why I said to first take it to the agents. Anyway its not possible to get 100% correct like it was made in the factory. You don't want to give up this tree yanking idea, do you....... If all else fails you could still give it a try.
  7. These guys are just trying to confuse us with all the fancy names.... Now, I thought IOC already has a Extra Premium which was 93 Oct, and another 95. So this means they are just re launching the same 93 saying Euro 3 .
  8. 110K Kms sound a little too good for a 14s of running, I would check the agents maintenance records just to be sure. Since its Brand new there should be some history.
  9. This is the first time I am hearing of this " Euro 3 " ? Is this a new type and is it better than 95 ?
  10. Toyota Lanka gets down from Thailand, I am not sure if Toyota has a plant in India. Although the link you have given mentions Toyota India, there is no evidence to say the car is actually made in India. Anyway if they were making in India by now Toyota lanka would have already brought down the Corrolla. This car is like the most popular car in Sri Lanka and people may still buy it just for the name irrespective of where its made. Unfortunately the Suzuki Swift is a big failure and hardly anybody buys the Indian swift even though its much cheaper than the Jap version. Its clear that Suzuki has not maintained a equal quality, or its simply that people in india a just cheap. I hope the same will not be true for the BMW as well......
  11. I think what frontwheel is trying to say is not that the alloy or the wheel is bent, but the left front wheel has gone back due to the impact. What I assume is your lower arm is bent and what they want you to do it heat it and get it straight ? Err.... I would not advise you to try to do this by yourself by trying to yank this by tie to a tree. Thats just crazy and you could end up damaging the car more or yourself. Let me say it again " Dont try this at home"...... But you do have a solution and you have nothing to worry, as this damage was caused due to a accident. Which means you should be able to claim it from the insurance, so you could just replace the lower arm and any other connecting parts that may have got damaged. If its a genuine accident, you can claim and insurance is not only to repair dents. Best you take to the agents and get a proper estimate of the real damage. It may also not be very safe to continue driving long distance with such an issue.
  12. Mr Sylvi, Thank you for the details on the Rama DBK history, but my question really was weather this Dhanuka Ramanayake guy was related the Rama DBK Ramanayakes. Just curious, since its the same surname and its not your everyday Joe, who would be having a collection of super cars... Jadey Blitzen, : I think its great that your friends family has got a second Merc dealership, the guys at D*MO are having this far too easy and its time that someone got in to the competition, so its good for the industry. I cannot comment on the Mercs, but they really rip you off when it comes to service and repairs on the Jeep. Some of the charges are just absurd. They know that most customers don't care too much for the cost of the repair so they take full advantage out of it.
  13. Terios is the better choice. This will have better re-sale value, also wrt maintenance this will be better as there maybe more of these than the Kyron. For me the Kyron looks a little not right compared to the Rexton, Also someone has said the Kyron does 12 KM/lt, I seriously doubt this if the Kyron is a petrol. But if the Kyron is a Diesel then better go for the Kyron. I heard the auto terios is not that good on fuel as most people think, since its the 4WD version.
  14. These Nissans are quite famous for this Air flow sensor issue, so maybe a good point to start with.
  15. For a moment I thought you were talking about Upali Dharmadasa....... This Dhanuka guy, is he related to the Rama DBK people ? , If so that explains a lot.
  16. He started small, got lucky in the casino business and started playing the stock market. But I don't think he's too much of a car enthusiast.
  17. Ah.... see , its all worth for that Aston Martin to have flown in. Any idea whats getting hit the most ?

  19. There are few such " rags to riches" stories here, but if you look at the bigger picture you will see that most of the Colombo affluent have had family wealth to begin with. And if you look back most of that wealth came from their forefathers sucking up to the British, that's the hard truth. Getting back to the Aston Martin,... yes it looks nice in black or grey.
  20. These cops are the worst, they should all burn in hell along with some of these t wheeler drivers.
  21. Blah..? whats a blah.
  22. Wouldn't getting in to the Galadari car park be a problem on that day ? and what about the going away car.
  23. Well nothing lasts forever, even if you dont use the tyre with time the rubber compound can break down after few years. I think 40 to 50 k is a good number if you drive carefully, and also if you do the balancing and alignment regularly. Now you get many cheaper tyres and most of them are almost equivalent to the big brands.
  24. Compared to the new friendship road green path is safer, and there was enough room for the spectators, but the problem was everyone was getting too close to the track . saw the cops had given up trying to get the crowd to move away from the track.
