Rewinding Ignition Coil - Will It Possible?
Sampath Gunasekera replied to tilvin's topic in General Automotive
If you can't find out a solution from here, I can suggest you 3 options. (1) In India, you can easily buy parts for Ambassador cars as it is very common. Give the correct details with a photo to someone who travels for pilgrimage or arranging pilgrimage trips. But most important thing is ask to get genuine parts. India is full of fakes for every item. (I was in India from 1998-2001). But I am afraid as now a days peak of summer and availability of pilgrimage tours. (2) Try with Udawatta Motors, Panchikawatta. They import Maruti spares frequently from India. Try with them. (3) Hindustan Motors is the manufacturer of Ambassador brand as well as agent for Mitsubishi in India. Here, at U n i t e d M o t o r s. I have seen Hindustan Motors poster and they may have a link. This option I am not sure much, but check with Unit#d Mot#rs. Comparatively first option is very easy to achieve. -

Dear Friends, I have a lot of car catalogs (hard copies as well as soft copies) and few number of old paper advertisements. Most of them are original JDM catalogs belong to 1989-1990 season . I will start a new thread here and publish them whenever I have free time. Other members also can publish here whatever car catalogs available with them. I will try to upload maximum pages as much as possible or most important pages. Hope you guys will enjoy this. Also think this is not violating forum rules. Cheers, Sampath Gunasekera

Machan , thanks for the interest. I have some Toyota catalogs in 1989-1990 season (Specially Corolla models) and first generation of Mitsubishi Pajero and so on. They all original JDM catalogs (hard copies) . Whenever I have a time I will scan them and upload them under new thread. Also I have downloaded catalogs from the net & I think around 400 PDF files.

I also noted it. Might be advertisement designer's choice.

Need Expert Advice About Toyota Soluna
Sampath Gunasekera replied to asankabs's topic in General Automotive
Yes, there were two Perodua Kelisa advertisements on Autolanka saying they were made in Japan not in Malaysia. In one advertisement there was a photo of CR and country of origin was Japan. I was surprised and checked with Unimo too. But Unimo guys told me that Parodua never assembled in Japan and they also had same problem how the country of origin became Japan. Ha Ha now I know how it happened . -
Thanks for the info. Today I saw an advertisement for Jeep Compass 2012. The feature you said was there and mentioned as "Hill Start Assist" Just checked with Google. The hill-start assist is a variant of hill-holder used by some semi-automatic, clutchless transmissions. The system prevents the car from rolling away when trying to pull away on an up or down gradient, simulating a "handbrake hill start" manual drivers will be familiar with. The system engages automatically when a gradient of 3% or more is detected; it then acts to hold the car stationary for two seconds after the brake is released giving the driver time to apply the throttle.
