Many people opt for the long wheel base(31-) due to better on road dynamics. 4 mil is a stretch to be honest. 2.5 mil should be the Max. Thank you again!

Holy thread resurrection Batman! Ok guys jokes aside. I have a question. What color fogs are best? Yellow, white(hid/xenon) or them new LEDs. I personally like the look of the yellow fogs and yellow seems kinder to the eyes. Since Me and my family/friends seem to live under rocks and sleep with the stars,I prefer maximum usability and performance over energy consumption and looks. New vehicles seem to come with all white-beam even on fogs though. My Q3 has halogen fogs inside the headlight(just like my b5), but they aren’t that strong or useful. LEDs are super bright, but they seem to just washout the view and you dint really see full colors as they are. Also bloody expensive and seems to wear out fast. But I am willing to burn my cash if they are worth it. Needs expert opinions. Fun fact- a guy told me use led because it increases fuel economy! Tf is wrong with people. Im guessing the change is very very very minimal, but he noticed it.

Thank you Mr Sylvi. She does look good. Lots of compliments and potential buyers it seems. I will be visiting you soon as everything is done. I will also further update the prices once completed(I actually did post the cost breakdown to date).

The jeep is back home from the Jungle life. ZERO issues for them 5 days. 1000 plus kms(mostly deep off-roading). One full tank(4 liters less after the stainless steel lining) sand a 20L jerry can. So yeah Its super good on fuel. With AC and 2 passengers. The AC was even used inside kumana and had no issues. It went places where even the big boys stuttered(I’m guessing light and smaller size plus skilled driving helped). Even though the tires are butt ugly. They are original Dunlops made for land masters, which turned out to have bags of grip. Wading as also not an issue. Mainly due to Zero electronics, we were able to go deep. On the way back there was HEAVY rain all the way from Kumana to Colombo, 9 hour nonstop journey with constant AC and vipers/lights etc working, the thing was having no issues. Lights are also powerful and the yellow fogs always help. Next up it needs a stereo and speakers. Nothing crazy though. Just two in the front and two in the back. No amps No subs. Single din pioneer with cd/usb/radio/bluetooth. And a magnetic phone holder for maps and media playback. Thought of going for Bluetooth as its bit loud on high speed and holding the phone while driving is not cool. Also Bought a pair of walkies to take back when I can get back. Out of all our cars, this is easily the most loved and biggest stress reliever/happy machine. Makes life come close to how it’s shown on Instagram. Pics in Kumana Jungle Entrance.

Is Drive1 worth it for an Audi A6 1.9 TDI
fiat fan replied to Luffytaro's topic in Feedback & Suggestions
Congrats on the purchase. Don't stick to one place. All 3 places are kind of expensive. So compare prices(for each individual repair done) before committing. People say Vishwa Motors are not that good anymore. Drive one is overpriced and overhyped. They push out that elite attitude. Also they don't work on cars that haven't been agent imported(might have changed now) Does Senok even deal with Audi’s anymore? We service our 2017 A6 at Drive one due to it being under warranty. Plus the other basses cant work on the 3.0 engine it has. The members I tagged also drive Audi. They may be able to help you further. Good Luck! @ramishkad @dantoddd @Quiet -
Highway ok ? And its parked Illegally (I think). Bro went off to Kumana Jungle. Highway drive was good no issues. Late night drives @ 3.30AM Some more stuff to be done, but parts and labour is expensive currently.

I did. But they liked all makes. They just bashed a certain car at times. Also remember top gear is scripted. They do it for entertainment depending on the episode. This guy kilmer just blabs dumb ideas and hate towards euros ALL the time. Typical old hill billy bush mechanic who never updated his skills.

Feel sad really. But I guess this is what people want. Scotty is an idiot just shouting and bashing things to get more views and money.
-
Does it have the sunroof? Wish they came with leather though.

Also that engine bay looks like a nightmare to even look at. Imagine working on it. * Screaming “its an endless money pit” in Scotty Kilmer (hate that guy) voice *

Forget everything else. Still prefer them round quad-lights. Never liked the rear end on these either. Then again I’m biased towards older BMW’s. Too much plastic on these new cars. Made to swap every few years. specially in western countries where you “lease” it for 3 Years and get rid of it. My 96’ A4 had felt lining even the door bins. The A6 has it a rubber mat thing, but no lining. Going down in quality for sure. Give me an E34 M5 as my only car and I won’t change it for life!

Oh no. I meant staying put until the virus goes down and come after you don’t need quarantine no more.

Trying to avoid all that tbh.

Human scum. How much of shit heads can these people be? Disgraceful disgusting people. Feel sad of the mentality of our fellow Lankans. I hope they don’t feed their children with that dishonest money gained. I never visit this page, but decided to have a stroll. First two posts and I’m done.

I am I am. Back and forth. Waiting for the Airport to open so that I come back. My brother is doing the work. I thought I mentioned it in the beginning.

After you are done with all the payments. Go to the institute and tell them you are done paying and you want your stuff back. They Must give you a letter saying that you have paid off and that they have no interest in said vehicle. Also get a absolute owner deletion letter to hand over to the RMV. Then take the original book and the letter with other necessary docs to RMV and get the institute’s name deleted off your book. Go home and have a beer while enjoying the freedom. Avoid the temptation to sell the car and buy another expensive car with leasing. Its very easy to do and sales buyyas are very good at convincing you.

Thats sad. Wish I could buy it. But way over my budget. Saw a silver in Texas recently. Such a looker. Owner spent a pretty penny too.

Thats what I thought too. The pics seemed familiar.

Also a pic of the ol’ girl. Dusty at the moment. Needs them new tires badly. Fun fact- There are other more @PreseaLover‘s it seems. Few people started following my bro and stalking him asking “denawada” ? Every time we take it out around Colombo, there is always a small party of people(mostly in their 60 and 70’s) standing by it with memories and war memorabilia. Always open to a chat about these ol’ girls. People seem to love that we Preserved the old school looks and not pimp it with humongous tires and tacky add ons. Most of the restored examples follow a herd and try to pimp it up unnecessarily, almost all have lost that original look. Thanks for the interest guys. We will do a proper photoshoot and a detailed review once everything is done.

Update. AC was calibrated and small adjustments done. Hand Brake cable was replaced as some guy literary yanked it out. Bought a tool set for it. Bought a New Jerry Can. Also got a Towing belt. Work is slow these days. The Jeep is parked till we get tires and stuff. Also attached a pic of the Speedos. Feels weird after seeing screens and LEDs on modern cars heh? I personally love it!

I would bus it rather than buy a vehicle now. Use pickme or whatever. Most unreg cars are inflated by 2mil at-least. The euros are overpriced by 5 mil on some cars. Also the GLB was offered at 12.9M initially at the agent in march. No permit. I asked. Sad thing is, there are SOO MANY PEOPLE buying cars that are crazy overpriced. I don't know how anybody with hard earned money would pay markups like its nothing. As they say, a fool and his money are soon parted. I would advice anybody to stay off the car market till 2021.
