  1. Thank you guys..you are correct. i havent had to change the whole headlight. I checked with another electrician. ☺
  2. I think i dont have auto adjustable lights. as @asrock said. No sounds coming from the lights. Also checked with added load on the boot. Light level raises up with the body of the car instead of adjusting. ??? So i guess my allion doesnot have auto adjust or manual adjust. Back to my orginal case..one of my headlights (reflector type hid) is not working. Local electrician changed the bulb but it didnot work. He said the problem is with the blaster. so he suggested to replace the whole headlight. Thats why I thought to replace both lights with adjustable option.
  3. I didnt hear any sound when turning on the lights may be due to the engine noise. How does this automatic lights work? Does it have a g sensor for alignment of the car or a load sensor for the rear wheels?
  4. Thank you for all the responses guys..☺ I dont know if it comes with auto adjustment. However the light adjustment screws are there. How to find if it is equipped with auto adjustment? Wiring is not available. To do this new wiring is reqired. Since i live in hilly area sometimes i wish if i have this feature. I know this gonna cost me some bucks...but still i want to consider it. Do you think is it possible?
  5. Thank you guys for quick response. I will buy a trickle charger. Is it ok to just drain and replace mineral with synthetic? Do i need to replace oil filter as well?
  6. My 2008 allion 260 does not come with adjustable head lights. Is it possible to upgrade it to adjustable by replacing two headlights and installing the light adjuster switch? If it is possible please suggest me a good place to do it. One of my head lights is burnt. So i thought replacing both lights together.
  7. Sorry to bring up this old thread back. But i want your expert opinion on this. I have to put my 2008 allion 260 in hirebination for 9 months. 1. Is it bad to remove the battery from the car? My electrician strongly recommended against it saying that i would need to reprogram the ecu. 2. Should i put new engine oil and filter before i leave? If i should what type of oil should i use? Mineral or synthetic? TL put 5000km toyota engine oil and i still have 2000km left on it.(which i think is mineral oil. Not so sure) Edit-Few months ago i read a more relevent thread to this topic with detailed steps on how to store a car away it but i cant find it now. Can someone pls post it here?
  8. After considering three allions and one fd1, I bought a 2008 Allion. its a genuine mileage (82K), company maintained vehicle with all document proof from the import so i guess i wouldn't have to worry too much about poor maintenance issues. my mind was drifting between the fd1 and allion but my dad insisted on buying the allion. I love the fd1's tons of features and look of an alien space ship. thank goes to @iRage for pointing me at that amazing vehicle. I will definitely consider a Honda when i would be able to upgrade on my own. Thank you for all the replies and your time.
  9. hmmm...I just didnt see much camrys around kandy area.. Anyway now Im hooked up to civic fd... Do you know how much ground clearance fd1 and fd4 have?
  10. thank you iRage and nisala4423 . but im not into hybrids.. teana camry and markx are bit hard to find.. since honda fd series is discontinued, how about the spare parts availability and cost? what about the lancer ex spares?
  11. Thank you lkRaven, Jor-el for your answers and iRage's nice explanation. I like Civic FD4. interior, exterior looks and features. especially the meter cluster. i have never been in a civic fd series. is it comfy and spacious compared to allions and premios?
  12. Hello friends, I'm thinking about buying my first car next month for around 4.5. (5 million max). My concerns are reliability, space, comfort, easy maintenance, availability and low cost parts. i was going to buy a 2007-2010 allion or a premio, but previous posts on autolanka made me doubt about its reliability especially cvt box. What are the other cars that are in allion/premio class (space/comfort/features) but are more reliable? i dont mind few less kmpl or resale value (second hand vehicle is already depreciated anyway). Performance is not a big issue. i dont want to reach 100kmph in 5 seconds. . Thank you..
  13. Sorry to bring up this old thread. But i have to ask, is there any method to check CVT gearbox status (well maintained or not) by any method? Can a full diagnosis report from Toyotalanka reveal this? Im asking you this because i intend to buy an allion 260 and im new to cars..
