Do you use this below oil? Is it full synthetic? I serviced my car today at Toyota Lanka and changed engine oil after 6000km. The guy who changed the engine oil told me existing oil is not in good condition. (Cannot go up to 7500km). I changed oil last time using exact same oil in this photo. I'm using the car in normal Kurunegala traffic. Why he said that? Is he correct or does he not know about oil?

@gayanathWhat do you think about this case? Is it a issue with low quality fuel in Sri Lanka. I change my mind to use 95. It is not because of octane rating. But I guess 95 octane petrol contains low sulfer percentage and some useful additives. (Is it worth?) @iRage, @gayanathCan those injectors live with sulfer percentage or any other parameters of 92 octane fuel in Sri Lanka without any problem according to Toyota.?

I change engine oil every 5000km in my chr 1.2l using above mentioned 0w-20 synthetic oil. Is it not necessary to change oil that often? ( car is primarily use in Kurunegala traffic. It is not bad as the Colombo traffic.) Is it better to use 5w-30 instead of 0w-20? I pump 92 octane to the chr. Some guys say that it need 95 and some say that it need 92. Is it perfectly fine with 92 or it need 95 or is it better to use 95 octane every once in month or two month etc.etc..

Sedan between 3-4 million
Sadeepa Dilhara replied to Sadeepa Dilhara's question in Car Buying Information
Ha ha.. not anything other than a pre 2000 Toyotas. This sentence should be corrected as anything other than 94 Celica and his wife's Lexus. What are the model years which came with RE0F10B transmission. There was only one transmission called RE0F10E fitted to J32 according to Wikipedia. Hmm. I can't afford fairly new one because my max budget is 4.2 million. What is the best choice for me between XV40 camry and eighth gen Accord. my requirements are respectively 1.Comfort 2.reliability 3.Interior quality 4.Parts availability -

What about the jatco CVT transmission. Is it reliable? (Scotty Kilmer always says that jatco CVT transmissions are the worst CVT transmissions in the world.?) -
Tire Inflation Pressure Compensation and Adjustment
Sadeepa Dilhara replied to gayanath's topic in General Automotive
Hmm... I think it's better to do that experiment again. Someway it can be a error of the pressure gauge of that pump. But it is a relatively new pump. Now I only pump nitrogen into tires because of less pressure variations (1 psi-1.5 psi according to my experience). So I'm sticking to it. -

I know that you're a RAV4 expert. ?. I'm looking for XV40 Camry with 2AZ-FE engine. I think you have experience with this engine in RAV4 s. There are hundreds of complaints all over the Internet about a oil burning issue of these 2az-fe engines. Do you have such experience with RAV4 s.

Do you sure that XV40 camry came with CVT gearbox. According to Wikipedia it has a traditional automatic.

Tire Inflation Pressure Compensation and Adjustment
Sadeepa Dilhara replied to gayanath's topic in General Automotive
One day I pumped air to 34 psi (in the morning). On the same day I checked the air pressure again at evening after normal city driving. ( Checked by the same tire shop, same air pump). Pressure gauge raised up to 41 psi. Then I lowered the pressure again to 34 psi. Next day morning I checked the tire pressure again and pressure was 26 psi. Then I removed all pressurized air in the tire and filled with nitrogen (34 psi). Then I checked the tyre pressure according to above way. Tyre pressure only varies about 1-1.5 psi. -
Muffler tail pipe Carbon: CHR vs Eclipse Cross
Sadeepa Dilhara replied to vitz's topic in General Automotive
My CHR is about 27k. No any excessive carbon build up in exhaust pipe. Looks like your eclipse. I use 92 octane. Mainly used in Kurunegala traffic. -

Help to select Best SUV/Crossover for me
Sadeepa Dilhara replied to Podidhu's topic in General Automotive
CRV is a lot of car for that money. Better than eclipse. (Overall newer Mitsubishi cars aren't that good)(according to Scotty Kilmer ??) -
Not a 2014 one. I mean 2009/2010 premio/allion.?
-
It's better to reserve money for a new battery. If you don't need a sky high fuel economy look for a allion/premio. You won't lose a lot of money when selling a allion/premio after some years.(only according to my knowledge. )

I think bit used CHR is an overall better vehicle . (If you don't care much about rear seat passengers ?)

Hi, I'm looking for 2007 camry with 2.4l engine. I've searched in Internet about the 2007 camry 2.4 and there are hundreds of complaints about this engine. I found that this engine burns excessive engine oil after 120000 miles. I think this same engine was also used in RAV4 s . Camry/RAV4 owners, please let me down do you faced such a problem or any signs of that.

Honda Vezel vs Honda Civic Sedan vs Toyota CHR
Sadeepa Dilhara replied to Hiran Walawage's topic in General Automotive
Buy a civic. It's spacious, loaded with tech features (especially apple car play and android auto) , better sound system, wireless charging, very plush rear seats , sunroof etc. Also some little things like alloy pedals, digital instrument cluster. Being a UK spec car it has some attention to detail. Inside of the glove box is covered with a material like felt for the reduction of noise. (I really like that??). Headlights are turn on when unlocking the car at night. Being a UK spec car it has some little nice quirks which can improve our user experience a lot than a JDM spec car. -
I think Toyota camries ? in sri lanka haven't that problem. After 3 week research I found this. https://bugulma-lada.ru/en/obzory-mashin/2az-fe-kakoe-maslo-lit-malenechko-havaet.html
