    Tyre Downsizing

Thanks dude. No, this is not him.... I'm using his account cause I had trouble registering. What are differences between a touring tyre and a sports tyre? I think I have the sports version.
  5. Don't take my word for it, but I recall reading somewhere that that fragrance is toxic. I'm not too sure though.

What type of tyre brands do you recommend? And I assume dropping the tyre pressure by around two psi won't create any other problems right? Considering the side wall height is so small?

    Tyre Downsizing

Oh ok. Is there anything I can do to make it easier for the car? (Apart from driving slow on a bumpy roads that is.... ) Or will I have to drop the tyre size down to 15s?
  8. I generally buy mine at Arpico.... you know, those little tree thingys. I did see some interesting looking ones at Cool Planet though.
  9. Hi, Just saw this thread. I've been trying to register here, but even though the site says that my registration is successful, I'm not getting a validation email... I'm using a friend's account to do all my posting here btw. Some help Madz?

    Tyre Downsizing

I've got 225/45/17 now. Want to get it down to 215/55/16. And more than comfort I'm worried about the suspension. Each pothole I go through sends a jolt up me spine.....

    Tyre Downsizing

Hey guys, I've got 17s on my car. And as a result, I'm not too happy with the pounding the car's getting from the various potholes and bumps on our roads. Now, the stock size my car came with are 16s. So I'm thinking of downgrading from 17s to 16s. Just wanted to know whether I can expect a big difference in ride comfort, or will it be a small change, and not worth the downgrade? Thanks
  12. Interesting. Wouldn't say it gives the shortest route though.

  14. Used a Delphi maintenance free battery for about one and a half years.... the indicator didn't, well, indicate that it had gone bad, but it had. (Left me stuck at home on a Monday morning.) When I went to buy a new one, the shop owner told me that Delphi's had a bad reputation and that they weren't stocking them anymore.
  15. Hell Yeah! Shotgun Rampage!!!! Haven't played any NFS title after Underground 2. I just recently started playing Shift. I've seen some bad reviews for Pro Street, but that bad huh?
  16. Looks wicked! Can't wait! Some awesome games coming out at the end of this year! Hey, Shift ain't that bad..... Ever tried it with a gaming steering wheel?
  17. Hey all, have a small issue, My (recently purchased) car's left hand side's turning circle is far greater than it's right. The steering wheel does one and a half rotations to make a complete turn to the right, but only just one rotation to the left.... The left hand side CV joint is shot, which I am getting replaced, but I was told that the CV can't be the problem. Any idea why this happens? Thanks.
  18. Don't know if the oil leak causes the high fuel consumption, but if I were you, I'd get that cover replaced immediately.
  19. That's good to know... probably will be visiting one of these places soon. Cheers dude.
  20. Ah right. Did they do a good job on your vehicle? Oh and, if you don't mind me asking, what do you drive, incidentally? And any reason why you're choosing to do repairs at Darins?
  21. Thanks for that info man, really helpful. I called the first two places, they say they want to see a sample. Which means I have to remove the CV joint on my car and take it to them..... Just wondering if you get your mechanical stuff done at any specific place? I'd like a good mechanic to handle my car, so would you know anyone who specializes in Hyundai vehicles?

    Tyre Advice

Nope. I'm thinking of doing some window shopping this Saturday. So will see what's what then.
  23. I got my car just a few days ago so I really can't say. But I don't think you should just compare the two brands outright, cause each vehicle from each brand has their pros and cons. Anyways a quick search on the web will show you that Hyundai is doing pretty well these days. Don't know all that much about Kia, but Hyundai partly owns it I think. Thanks man, appreciate it.
