Nilantha, thanks for the advice. my mechanic is one of x-a*w guys name "Ravi" at Kelaniya and he normally does the same thing and he always do the mannual ECU reset and working fine for me (and most of my friends). once, just after his mannual reset, i took the car in to agents and did the scan, and found that everything is set to it's default values with out any issues. My thought is to take our cars to well expericed mechanics rather putting here and there. what do you guys think?

Falks, thanks for all your advices. Finally i took it to my mechanic (a guy call "Ravi" at Kelaniya) and he did a tune-up for me. As Don said, i think i had a bit off tununed in my car. anyway, i have no more mis-Ignitions anymore.

Nilantha, Based on all you guys comments, I think better to take that car in to Agents and do only a ECU reset. hope that will resolve most of the issues (if ECU has wrong records) correct?

Will it reset all the settings and bring the system back to correct/default Idle level/stage?

Hi Guys, One of my friend had done a engine tune up for his FB 15 car and he had cleaned Injectors, replaced the pulgs and RESET THE ECU Garage person has done a Manual Resetting. Will this manual reset really works? or do we need to go to the agent and reset the ECU setting from their "Scan Testers - Consult II"?

Hi Folks Mis-ignition noice comes when i drive slow on a "Hump" (speed bumps) on 1st or 2nd geer (Accelerating after the 'hump'). Most of the time it come on 2nd geer. Is this is a normal behavior or should i need to adjust my RPM or replace/repair ignition coils? Its, FB 15 (mannual 2001 exsaloon)

Guys, couple of questions..!!! 1) Do you know the best engine speed for a FB15 1.5 Mannual 2001 (in rpm)? 2) Is there any good place to do a "exhaust emissions" test in colombo? and how much it will cost? 3) one of my (obviously in my car ) Injectors has 167rpm and other 3 are 171, 176, 173 rpm in order. do i need to clean the first injector for a good/to improve fuel econ? thanks.

I had the same kind of issue and my mechanic (Ravi @ Kelaniya) reset the ECU com unit and reduced the RPM (which has gone little high) and after that she start giving me good econ: now i go around 10-12km per ltr with in city. Check (your cars) sensors and injector coils (plugs), filters etc etc as SIRA mentioned in the thred. This should work for you. Updated: I have cleaned my Injectors and changed my filters at the same time, sorry that i forgot to mention that in my initial post.
