Please Recommend Repair Place For Fit Aria Cvt Gearbox
Twin Turbo replied to LancerL's topic in HONDA SRI LANKA
Q:, When was the last time the Gear box was serviced? and what ATF was used? -
It's safer and more cost-effective to properly restrain and sit your child in a child seat.

++If you need a recommendation for an up-grade to your jeep, might I suggest Power steering (if you don't have it) and/or a Disc brake conversion TT

The wiper not following the curvature of the windscreen is due to 1. the wiper blade's self adjusting points are stuck, ( extreme sun exposure)_ 2. The wiper arm's tension springs are week.( age related) Although the wipers look new, get a new set of wipers, any spares shop will stock them as long as the wipers stay within the windscreen wile wiping, all good. Don't buy fancy brands, they all are made in you know where and get aged with the sun/heat. but it will not solve the prob if the wiper arm is week Lastly, You've got a good paint job.Regret the garage made a pig's ear of the wipers,,they look genuine to me or at least do the job rite. Yet another common mistake our mechanics do is switch the left/right wiper arms, causing mega nightmares to the owner . have a good look to the if the base in the lower part of the windscreen wiper arms are alike.

view from pics inconclusive to accuse your garage of exchanging the wiper-arms. at least are the wipers stopping parallel to the bottom of the wind screen?are the wipers going out of the windscreen anywhere in their path on the wind screen? well, at least you can rest in the thought you don't need a new wind screen I's most probably the cause of mis-alignment on re fitting of the wiper mechanism.during re fitting after the repair.

Average Lifetime Of A Car Battery In Sri Lanka
Twin Turbo replied to CodeMaster's question in General
It's all with maintenance ,I can not over stress the importance of maintaining the rite fluid level in a conventional battery as it is the most common cause for premature battery failure . but's not without occasional hiccups, I had a failure of a 2 month old battery a long time ago and was promptly replaced with the same , no questions asked by Browns. I must say at this point that Exide, Lucas and Daganite are all made in the same factory in Rathmalana. So , it's not the brand but the maintenance when it comes to at least the above brands. http://www.exide.lk/ Maintaining the correct charging rate comes next as both over charging and under charging lead to premature battery failure -
WHERE IS IT ACTUALLY TOUCHING THE WINDSCREEN ? KINDLY UPLOAD A FEW PICS,.. THANKS TT.

Nissan Presea 301-Xxxx For A First Car
Twin Turbo replied to andunslg's question in Car Buying Information
Ah, the first car, ....the heart wants what it needs, in this case a Presea. If all of us thought like accountants, we'll all be driving Corollas. But we don't. ,besides, it's not 4 life. Although ,it must be said the car he wants is more than 20 years old and pretty rare. For stuff like used body parts I'd buy a cheaper car and use my budget to get a kickass stereo which blows girl's clothes off, A decent inspection and repair of the car (as no one sells show-room condition 20 yo cars), plus new tyres. rather than look like I borrowed my gradpop's car! and a fully comp insurance policy. TT. -
Th second one.

Thieves Removing Side Mirrors On Vezel
Twin Turbo replied to Mdpperera's topic in General Automotive
And while you're at it, why don't you go the old school way and rivet every thing that can be removed.? Good luck fighting crime,. -
Sad to hear your alternator went the way of the Do do. I've had my share of the old school alternators, So yes, Go for a new unit, be it a recon Ic-regulated unit with a new set of brushes and your set for the next quarter century ! Happy motoring ! TT.

Gear Shift Issue - Toyota Premio 240
Twin Turbo replied to shanakamm's question in Mechanical problems
Looks like the last owner changed the ATF in an effort to fix an issue he had with the transmission,.. (as most auto owners don't change the ATF till something goes wrong) failing at it has decided to sell and move on. Go to Toyota Lanka and get them to do an exchange on the entire system with Toyota fluid and change the ATF filter. This is all that can be done for a car used and abused for 14 years,..and may not fix the prob .failing this, you must go shopping for a used transmission,.. Check the transmission under side for off roading damage. and the electrical system for water damage/ corrosion from de-greasing/washing by previous owners and service stations TT. p.s how sure are you of the mileage?- 16 replies

We don't know what your garage did to end you up in this mess,..It is unlikely that they can get it right as their work got you in this mess,.. Seek help elsewhere. As the mechanic said,.. you may have to shop for a new windscreen. TT
-
.Get your wheel alignment checked,..an adjustment on the wheel in question may be needed,..and have the place check the suspension before adjusting preferably with the car lifted TT.
-
There's a body shop which used to be good near Koswaththa junction on the left side coming from Malambe, The hardest part will be the crease or curve in the middle of the dent,.. best will be to go the traditional way of beat/, fill, sand, paint.and you'll have to paint the entire panel so you'll loose the "look" cos let's face it, a new paint job will stand out from the rest of the car no matter how it's done. Best compromise will be to push the dent from ther back and, just leave it as it is rather than showing you had a big crash and re-painted an entire panel. ,.. TT
