Nice set of wheels! I'm with Jadey; keep them in their original shade.
  3. LOL Komi! "Then Why?!"
  4. Because it's a poser bike; a sheep dressed in a wolf's clothing.
  5. Hah, indeed I forgot!
  6. LOLZ What's even more embarrassing is the 'hill start' feature on the manual transmission Honda CRZ. The car adds the brake for a small time frame so the driver won't go backwards after releasing the brake...EPIC NOOBS!
  7. My car's carburetor was tuned by Mr Dhammika at Cotta road. I'm extremely happy with his tune-up!
  8. Yea, GO THORA! I'm heading off there as well. Are you bringing the 510?
  9. OMG that white Escort in the background! :smilie_liebe9: :smilie_liebe9: :smilie_liebe9: :smilie_liebe9: Any more photos of that, Magnum? Also, the Minor 1000 seems mighty happy!

Magnum, you nailed it! I'm particularly fond of the 'slant grille' of the '70s BMWs and it's a shame this car has been ruined.
  11. Correct! By the by, can you translate Kanji? Or did you use a soft copy of the owner's manual and use an online translation method?
  12. Best car history I've heard! Good job man!
  13. Master Don, you so Lucky! I've got everything else except a vintage sports car!
  14. HAHA! Unfortunately, girls who like chaps in vintage sports cars wearing leather driving gloves and Aviators aren't among us at all... Somebody invent a time machine FFS!!
  15. All this bullcrap can be avoided if you got a good ol' fashioned manual 'box! End of my trolling...

    That poor unfortunate E30!
  17. Thanks Supra! I've not seen this particular site before, but I've come across another virtual parts catalog for Toyotas. http://japan-parts.eu/toyota/jp/1982/corolla/ke72v-evkrs/5_191110_095/body Night visibility is still not great with my cluster, but it's better than before.
  18. Someone wanted that particular tachometer very badly! Show us your gear knob then! Does it have the pattern or a script? Also, are you fitting fender mirrors on your 510?
  19. Thanks, Komi! I've seen a spray paint called "Plastikote" that does a good job on these interior bits. It's not available here though, but can be brought down via eBay or something. Maybe when I have some cash from Avurudhu... Annoyingly I noticed that I've missed some stains on the cluster. It ALWAYS happens!
  20. Can't post these together with the earlier post, so here goes- Interior after clean (ignore the tear on the left side of the driver's seat!) Sadly the passenger seat bottom half has a large stain that won't budge, even with full-strength Teepol! I might have to hire a steam cleaner for those stubborn stains! Apologies for the poor lighting, the seats are actually much better than they look! More overspray on the side Everything else cleaned up nice though. Might try some diluted thinner on it.
  21. Photo update time! Here's the cluster with the plexiglass off and cleaned half-way- Note the odd right-top corner? All fixed up- The clock! The plexiglass has white overspray from the last time the car was painted. I'll be dealing with it when I buy a decent plastic polish. It looks leagues better than what it was though. I also did a custom job on the gear knob trim. Long ago, this had a nice 4 speed shifter pattern printed on it, but it was reduced to a piece of dimpled sheet metal after 24 years. I initially wanted to print out the 4 speed pattern, but then I thought I'd do something different. Here's the result- How it looks once pasted- It's sprayed on using the spray cans left over from the wheel cap restoration. The three 'crowns' were brush painted- I couldn't mask off such a tiny detail! The once light-grey knob is now a weird green hue; thanks to UV discolouration. I've come across one or two black 4 speed knobs (probably from the sedan) so no replacement yet! While on the topic of clusters, here's one I'd love to have on a different car! Regards.
  22. Welcome to the club! I get pissed off when I'm executing a hairpin turn then...BAM! the steering lock engages! :sport-smiley-004:
  23. The distance to the moon is 384,400km (according to Google) so most vehicles mentioned here have actually covered a distance that is equivalent to traveling to the moon!
