  1. ...and now, a moment of silence in respect for the departed AE86. This is why ricers should stick to FF Hondas.
  2. I've heard of this particular wagon myself, but never seen it. It was an auctioned car it seems.
  3. Fantastic reply! LOL!!!
  4. @Jadey: Thanks. I held a hair drier (the only source of heat I could find at home!) and broke some of the epoxy around the amber marker. I haven't got an oven at home so I'll take both lenses to a friend's and get it done. I've got to prepare the new lenses though. @Sampath: The original lens was repaired with another orange piece but that faded to almost white. I've removed it now and will attempt to repair it again. The bottom red lens will be kept as a 'spare' after I remove it. I'll keep this thread updated once I fix the new lenses!

Those smoked lights are fantastic! Do you own a set?
  6. Look at what I picked up in Panchikawatte! Compared to the original lens and frame- These are aftermarket lenses for the KE72V. They're decent for the price, but I'm supposed to remove the original lenses from the old frames and then glue these on. I tried removing the right original lens, but it's not that easy! I'll be spraying the new lenses with two coats of clearcoat and then a good coat of carnaouba wax before I install it. Don't want the amber to fade! What do you think?!

I've always had a thing for the 'round light' BMWs! Looks great. IMO the wheels don't suit your car after the bodykit, but it's not bad for now. The second photo is fantastic! Where was this snapped? Regards.
  10. Happy belated birthday, Schiffer!
  11. Thanks! It's interesting to note that Toyota dropped their commercial van & wagon after the XE100 series. These are real workhorses! Of course, they've given us the 'Probox'... @Mr Cat: I've seen some Australian models with that rear window design. These were called 'panelvans'.
  12. I'll take the pop-up lamps of the AE86 any day!
  13. You seen the video? That elevator scene is very, um... disturbing!
  14. Hi, Just don't buy a Capri or Escort (or even a 'Tina) and 'rice' the hell out of it...
  15. I've also seen old Mercedes ('50s through to early '80s) advertised in the HitAd called 'Benz-gomuwa' and is located in Boralasgamuwa. Perhaps you know the people already but I'll let you know if I can find that advert again.
  16. ...minus the driver seat headrest cover. I thought of getting a new black 'Sri' plate made to resemble the original this had. I've found a place in Mount Lavinia and might drop in to know how much it would cost. Of course, these come with chrome/metal coloured numbers whereas the original had white.
  17. Lol that KE70 is very mild in comparison... I can't even imagine the original model of the car!
  18. Hi, Found this in an old photo album. Here's my KE72V in her prime! Yours truly is on the left...
  19. Whoops, thought it was yours....
  20. Hey, those are Work Equips! Nice catch.
  21. Thanks Davy! I read through your reply on engine cleaning and your engine bay looks fantastic! I'll give it a shot this weekend.
  22. Beautiful car, Pericles!
  23. I'm open to any suggestions on the availability of parts, so keep them coming!
  24. Are those...BNR32s?!?!?
  25. Is it white with a Black bonnet? I know of another Red Trueno in Kandy, belongs to a friend of mine.
