I completed my degree in a govt uni in SL. I don't have much of an opinion on the 6%. Since there have been plenty of protests for plenty of reasosn, I refused to closely look into this as well. But honestly, we need more funding to improve infrastructure and facilities in our universities. Figures, I do not know, but we definitely need more funding to upgrade the standards. But comparing with other countries - in that case, shouldn't we start benchmarking a lot of things in education and other sectors? like subsidies, bursaries, mahapola? (I'm not counter arguing, just what I thought. I'll welcome more information) There are certain things we know that will never happen (the cabinet) Anyways, Unis in SL have intakes from each corner of the country and other than the ones from cities, all of them have a very interesting view on the whole private uni thing. I know for a fact that there are some who look down upon another even if he does something like CIMA. It has happened to me and only reason I can assume is jealousy, honestly. Most of the issues are due to the free education itself since students take everything for granted. There is minimum respect for anything that is given free. They continue to demand more and more for free. Been there, seen it.

Saw in some article that the unlocked 16GB version is GBP 529 in the UK. While 4S still seems to be a pretty decent phone by apple's standards, Is there any benefit upgrading? The cheaper rentals are the ones for 24 months, so if how will the upgrading to new phone work cost-wise. Does the service provider give the new phone for the same plan at an additional cost or does it count as a terminated plan and charge for that?

Although all my purshases were by cash, I think the 14% is fair as interest, but still, it's on credit. Even if you pay it outright by CC you get charged some 3% extra. So cash is the way to go!

It's fair given that CC interest is 28% p.a but it's on reducing balance. I didn't do a calculation to figure out which was better (paying for the phone in inst or for the card) Check out Amex if you got. There are these 0% extended plan at some shops but unsure whether they charge a 'set-up fee' up front which basically is the interest.

I think prices were almost at the 80k mark (remember 85k) but for cash payments. It's seriously annoying when they charge that extra for CC. sigh.
