Hope the next year is a complete model change. This year has been full of Facelifts!
-
Due to exchange rate. Yen has shot up! Only possibility of tax remaining same or slight reduction to divert the mind from current political situation.
-
Oops sorry guys I was talkin abt the third facelift. Completely forgot it was officially announced. I knew it 2 weeks prior to it. So the confusion. Aqua is much better than Honda fit in softness. End of the day as @iRage said. Buyers choice. GP1 and GP5 are both stiff!
-
Looks, Power, Sportiness-GP5 Facelift to reach SL soon! Comfort, smoothness, fuel economy- Aqua Current Gen too old- 3rd facelift due soon- Maybe Oct Tokyo Motorshow. Previously owned a GP1 Have driven both Aqua and GP5. Aqua is a very logical choice but GP5 has the punch!

What to do? We are out of options, either Indian or downsized turbo!
-
Hopefully the dont increase it any further! With many manufacturers coming up with downsized engines with turbo, reducing taxes will have a very much positive effect for car buyers! I had an opportunity to drive a Toyota CHR 1.2 ltr turbo 2 days back! Trust me it doesnt feel like a 1200cc. With alot of europeans and japanese releasing 1000cc turbos. We will have some variety to choose from. Audi Q2 has a 1000cc turbo variant already launched in SL. New A1 will feature same engine. Suzuki swift has a 1000cc turbo variant. VW Polos etc. Im looking forward for the next budget and Frankfurt motor show September & Tokyo Motor show october!

For that price and size! Its a Kei car with good utilization of space!

Toyota is full of boring facelifts this year Aqua to Allion to Landcruisers except C-HR
-
Next Gen Axela with HCCI will be introduced this fall According to this roadmap it will kill Toyota HSD. Mazda will introduce inhouse mild hybrid! I guess it will be revealed in Tokyo Motor Show Oct! Hopefully the come up with a 1500cc hybrid setup!
-
Ex fit gp1 owner. I would go for an Aqua over fit gp1. Fit handling is better than aqua 12-13kmpl in colombo. 22kmpl on cruise control highway Back seats are uncomfortable Stiff suspension you feel every pot hole. Looks much better than aqua. Rented Aqua for 3 days Aqua is soft on steering Better on fuel Soft suspension Back seats better than Fit Looks like a frog?

Correction: Grace is not "IMA" thats previous gen. Grace has sport hybrid iDCD. Grace is modern looking in and out! Axio is booring but thats the wise choice! Toyota has promised to change its design direction after the launch of C-HR. Hopefully future Toyotas are not so boring. Same issue with Honda FIT and Aqua!

The All New Mazda 2 (2016/sedan)
zeem35 replied to car_lover2015's question in Car Buying Information
I use to own 2004 axela back in 2007 and use to have the "thud" sound in bumps and pot holes! Carmart service agents couldnt diagnose the issue! -
1. Start the engine. 2. Put to reverse gear 3. Select left mirror on mirror adjusting controls 4. Hold Tilt down switch till it makes a click sound.

Battery health and oil sludge or oil burn. Search the forum!
-
According to my research its due to the 0w20 fully synthetic oil. Many are having the same issue, its due to sludge formation. The 0W20 oil is fully synthetic and is designed for heavy use. I basically drive around colombo is its subjected to constant engine heating up and cooling down plus longer oil change intervals 8000kms or 6 months. Resulting in the formation of sludge. Honda fit gp1 and insight have the same engine. Do a google search "honda insight engine oil burn" many have complained! Its better to use 5W30 with semi synthetic short oil change intetvals 4000kms. I rented out a honda fit gp1 for last 2 months and noticed engine knock feeling. I checked the oil and guess what it was empty with black tar kind of formation.
