Prabasha

Question

I'm planning to buy a car around 3.7 million so i decided to go with either toyota aqua 2012 or honda fit gp1 2012 what is the best car for my budget ?

I'm considering fuel efficiency and resale value

Currently driving a Honda civic ek3 1995 non vtec JDM

Ex fit gp1 owner. I would go for an Aqua over fit gp1.

Fit handling is better than aqua

12-13kmpl in colombo.

22kmpl on cruise control highway

Back seats are uncomfortable

Stiff suspension you feel every pot hole.

Looks much better than aqua.

Rented Aqua for 3 days

Aqua is soft on steering

Better on fuel

Soft suspension

Back seats better than Fit

Looks like a frog?

Comfort - fit

Economical -aqua

Aqua- city 17-18kml- highway 28-30kml

Fit    - city15-16kml- highway25-28kml

Handling- fit

Spacious -fit

Reselling value - aqua.

Reliability -i think aqua,

Interior - fit

I would choose  fit over aqua because it has different  trim levels like navi premium, paddle shift, and good interior

If you're considering only fuel efficiency and resale value then you have to select the aqua ,having HSD (as opposed to Honda's IMA  ) being very fuel efficient and the resale value due to the Sri Lankan Toyota obsession.

The Fit is of course more of an all-round car with tons of space.  Fuel efficiency wise it would do around 13-14 KMPL in heavy colombo traffic. In outstations it will do a lot more based on driving style I got around 25 KMPL driving from Kurunegala to JaEla recently.

Have driven both.Have been a passenger in both. Not much of a difference in comfort, but Aqua is better.Aqua is smooth and a bit more powerful.Fuel economy goes to Aqua.Options, interior, looks goes to Fit.
