  1. So what exactly is your point? If you've used any of these in particular and have some experience why don't you share it..
  2. You might want to check if the 2nd key is hidden somewhere inside the car. There was a bazzar case where a AL member was saying that his car wouldnt lock automatically. He thought it was a broken sensor or software glitch, but it ended up being that the exporter had hidden the extra key under the seat or something. Hence, the car wouldnt auto-lock since the key was 'inside' the car. It may not be related at all, but just saying...
  3. hehe.. OK... Chill Pill taken
  4. How old are you? I'm sure you must be old enough to do an intuitive search. I personally found 2 significant threads in a simple search. You don't need to 'ask an expert'
  5. If it says 270,000km, then you can be sure the owner is honest enough to not hide the flaws of the car. Dude, you were told how to do a search the last time you ask something like this here. Don;t be an askhole! Can't you learn? edit: Mod's is there some action that can be taken about users/threads like this?
  6. Dude those are your good new rims being used to keep the car jacked up... Ouch!!!!
  7. Slow day on the forum today huh? Where is everyone?
  8. I couldnt be patient till the weekend to try it out, so I ended up using it on my way to work today. This clip was recorded at 720p @60fps, so you might want to change the resolution on YouTube to see the proper quality. As you see, I need to play around to make sure it points in the correct direction. This was a smooth tarmac surface; but the real test will be on gravel and uneven surfaces.

Dude, fatjoe bought a bike already. Which is why he bumped up the thread
  10. Because rice is an acquired taste. And it takes some level of skill to differentiate the rice from the nice.
  11. Machan all the cars that you have asked about have been discussed before. Please search the forum for the information you want and if you have any question tag onto one of those threads. Also there are threads on recommendations for vehicles in or close to your budget. Read those too. This is how you search: http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/15808-how-to-search-on-autolanka/ edit: May I humbly request other forum members NOT to reply on this thread. It's nothing against the OP, but merely trying to help encourage good forum practices.
  12. Dude, this was discussed before... DId you search? I just searched for "Corolla 110" and got a whole bunch of results. http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/6257-different-versions-of-corolla-110/
  13. I didn't use the thing for a long time. Maybe abour 15 mins,,, Like Arun's, mine too records in multiple clips of 3mins. (approx 230mb each). I think that makes things a lot easier to handle the files later on. I'll test it over the weekend and let you guys know. edit: Since yours is a car camera i think it might be required to run off the 12v current continuously. My camera is a helmet mounted one, so it HAS to run on its own battery. But if you really feel it's a defective camera create a dispute with the seller and see how he handles it.
  14. @ramishkad: Yours looks pretty decent just that it does look a tiny bit out of focus. @udayap: machang I think you just need to increase the exposure a bit. And point the camera forward, I think it's a bit crooked. I was playing around with mine (indoor) and noticed that the recording was a bit too dark indoors. But when you use it outdoors, it works fine. I'm guessing all these cameras follow a similar software/driver design. There's a text file with some numbers on it which actually happens to be the configurations for the camera. You'll see it when you plug it in. Anyway it has a bunch of parameters like focus, EV, white balance, date etc etc. Play with it and see. But I agree, even my video isnt as crisp as Arun's. I didnt try any photos though cos the selector is at the back of the camera and it's a bit hard to reach when on the move.
  15. I got mine in the post today. The exterior looks pretty solid and it looks just like the original camera the design was ripped off from. But I havent tested it out yet for video. I look forward to the weekend now
  16. i was just about to say that if you wanna make models out of paper, hoonigan is the guy to goto.
  17. Can you share some sample photos/videos? As someone who bought a camera on ebay i'm getting a bit nervous too.
  18. James may had a dedicated episode on Lego in his Toy Stories series. Same for Meccano. And Airfix too. Sadly its all been taken off youTube. But i'm sure there should be torrents on the internet. But here's the next best thing:
  19. I'm not sure if any of you were able to watch James May's series Toy Stories. They made a 1:1 scale spitfire just like Supra's. Sadly the series has been taken off Youtube. But all of those who have a child at heart SHOULD watch it. There's lego, scaletrix, meccano and a few more...
  20. @ Jaliya & S_N, Airfix is just as fascinating. Don't you think it deserves it's own thread?
  21. For those of you who have kids, you don't need to buy complete sets; There are sellers online who sell bags/boxes of loose random parts. And they sell pretty cheap too. If your kids were anything like most of us Lego fans, they don't need any instructions. Their imaginations would be more than enough.
  22. Hi welcome to the forum. As a good forum practice we encourage members to continue existing threads rather than open redundant threads. the e36 has been discussed in great detail before. Please search the forum and you'll find almost everything you're looking for. http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/15808-how-to-search-on-autolanka/ May I also kindly request other members to refrain from replying to this thread, to prevent the scattering of information.
  23. I don't mean to bum everyone out with socialism theories, but honestly right now in our countryt herich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer and the middled class is trying very hard to not fall into the 'poor'. A photographer friend was saying that some of these high-society kids even celebrate birthdays at the taj and hilton and what not.. So "50,000 for a toy? Sure son, but that means no partying allowance for this week for you!" said a father to a son.

That was my exact train of thought. Though the noise is present when the AC is on in neutral, it is just as (or even more) loud with the AC off and the gear in Drive. When you rev the engine, it died down a bit as I recall. It's definitely coming from the alternator, just that I don't see how the alternator is affected by the transmission/gear. Does BMW have any high load electrical component that's related to the transmission?
  25. I honestly don't remember. I just bookmark these things when I see them cos you never know when they'll be useful.
