  1. Amen to this reply from Peri!
  2. Does Toy*ta Lanka do this "individual cell replacement?" We accept hybrid & electric cars alright. What are you trying to prove?
  3. Can't agree more. When you add the environmental cost of; burning coal to generate power to charge cars manufacturing the nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) or lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for cars disposing those batteries my guess the hybrid cars do more damage to the enviroment than good.
  4. But I love manual transmission As Richard Hammond says, "changing gear is a vital form of self-expression".
  5. Been away for two weeks, and this thread has moved a lot Bumblebee, if you intend to run the car only with gasoline why buy a Hybrid?
  6. Thanks to The Don, Sylvi, charithtg for replies. I tried at Wijerama but had no luck. The variety they had brand new did not have the rubber collar that covers the gap between the plastic panel and the body. Found one second hand, but it was in bad shape and beige in colour. I'll try at Daley road and panchi after checking with Unimo.
  7. Amen!
  8. I can't imagine why he used the words driving pleasure and tiptronic, sports gear in the same sentence. I guess this is a matter of personal taste; but for me, the only way to get the best driving pleasure is to use manual transmission. So, Zee Boy, driving pleasure is a relative term. What's pleasurable to you is not worth calling a pleasure to someone else. And if you are truing to take decisions based on US rankings in Sri Lanka, you'll be in big trouble. Remember this is the 'Land like no other'.
  9. Amen to that!
  10. Thank you for reading my post. I'm trying to locate a set of grey window rubber seals for a Pajero MK2. Requirement is for a pair for the two boot windows. Attached pictures show the part I'm looking for. It would be great if you know any vendor who sell these. Thanks in advance.
  11. I'm at a loss of words on this handy work! I guess the appropriate expression for the owner of that car would be.... 'Aiyoooo Salli!'
  12. JC, shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the turbo be more economical?
  13. ROFLMAO
  14. From my experience its not the equipment they use determines the quality of their work. The equipment can only measure the parameters, and notify the technician. It is the technician who interprets the numbers and apply actual adjustments. So, no matter what tech it is (high or low), the capability of the technician is the defining factor.
  15. The way I see it, if you want advice on fuel consumption and resale value in deciding whether to buy a Skyline or not, tells that a Skyline is not the car for you. Go with AL member advice and buy a Corolla, or a Vios!
  16. Thanks Hoonigan. Couldn't have guessed! I saw the front end of this car on another site. Looks even worse. Gosh, what a waste of a decent car.
  17. I've heard that would damage the tire, if it has rotation direction.
  18. Yup! Davy has beat me to the answer! Go to Battaramulla Arp**o super center and you will find them in the furniture section.
  19. What on earth is this?!? I mean what was it before it was raped?
  20. Hey Komi were you at Wilpaththu during the weekend?
  21. Exactly! I guess there is not better way to put things into perspective than that!
  22. I remember when I first saw a Cherry at the showroom... I was afraid to close its door, because I was worried the resulting vibration will dislodge the door mirror.
  23. Expecting silence from a car is like... only expecting punctuality from a girlfriend... Good engine note is music to almost all of us in AL!
  24. Well said Hoonigan! Sums up the impression of petrol heads towards what was once a promising automaker!
  25. Yes its self falsifying logic!
