You will loose more on the accord as that segment cars depreciate more. 2007/8 Corolla and Camry will be same price now although Camry was double the price new. Worried about depreciation settle fro the CRV. Euros will be nightmare to sell in 5-8 years, and you will have issues so a warranty is a must. Most of the JDMs are made in Thailand if not the whole car majority of the parts.

Better to send someone with a letter, our office assistants go and get it done.

Yes i believe they are waiting till Thailand manufacturing starts. Very unlikely they will get the 1.2L as it will be mostly for JDM and some specific developed markets, may not be offered in the saloon outside Japan. Even with the tax advantage of the 1.2T unfortunately we will not get the better vehicles in the range (CH-R, Corolla Sport), when i inquired they tried to push me to a Yaris Active, piece of s**t made to south Asian morons who will go and buy any crap with a Toyota badge and a boot. However they do bring JDM through a subsidiary, prices are ridiculously high to justify. Decided to go my own way got down mint Corolla Sport GZ with optional part red leather/ suede, TRD body kit, 9" audio Navi, nice dark blue paint job all the optional safety ++ Was fortunate to get the car for over Yen 1 Mn. less than the list price new. Auction grade 5 AA. If you decide to go out of the box there are good deals.

You will to register with a local rep to get access, google and see there are few sites which gives info. You are correct there will not be a flood of vehicles but there are few which is reasonable considering the size of the market. Majority of them as you said are accident repaired, to get a good car you may have to wait patiently and lucky. Generally auction reports are reliable as they are done by Japs. This will be also verified by the independent export inspection certificate too.

You should be able to pick a Civic Sedan 1.5L with less than 5000km (2018-19) from Jap auction for less than JPY 2.2 Mn. Approx cost in SL around Rs. 6.2 to 6.4 for the permit.at Hatch will be more expensive as it has more features and is more powerful too 182 PS vs 173 PS
-
New safety ratings give marks to active safety features like auto brake, pedestrian detection, if not available will get low ratings However they are good on protecting the occupants in an accident, you will have to go through the full report and make a conclusion.

They will not get the new Corolla around Aug/ Sept but not the 1.2T. It will be the same 1.6 currently available. Extra duty over the permit will be over Rs. 2.0 Mn. not worth the price. That is why decided to get down the Sport before the prices start going up in Japanese auctions.
-
Stafford should be able to get down the Civic 1.5T you will need to get in touch with you. Everybody is getting down CRV as the duty is same so the cost is marginally high
-
Will be too expensive
-
Germans will be Rs. 10-11 Mn + Permit, unless you opt for CLA which will be around Rs. 9 Mn. + permit Japs, Mazda 3 (new), Civic 1.5 L, Accord 1.5 L if you can stretch Or wait for the new Corolla hopefully JDM saloon will come in 1.2L, I got down the hatch (Corolla Sport) paid only Rs 265K duty.

Car maintenance schedule is based on mileage/ days/ number of hours engine was running/ number of cold starts etc.. so your vehicle might indicate a service before a specific mileage or time. In some vehicles once you you exceed the mileage/ days over the tolerance car will go in to limping mode. Better get it serviced.

rack Noice from shocks/rack ends in Honda Fit
kush replied to Yazi000's question in Mechanical problems
Replaced with KYB some time back it was less than Rs. 30K if i remember correct. FIT GP5 was out of stock, replaced with the one for Freed identical except for the angle of the bracket for the brake hose. You can bend it to the right angle. Damping was little firmer but that was better for my taste. Original were little too soft. -
Step 1: Buy a water regulator/ spray from your local supermarket Step 2: Fix it to your garden hose Step 3: Spray underside of your wheel arches to soak the mud Step 4: Wait for few minutes for the muck to absorb the water and loosen, you can wash rest of the body while you wait. Step 5: Hose off the mud You can put your finger to the hose and create your own spray patterns if you don not wish to invest in a regulator. This saves me money/ time and lot of heartache looking at some idiot ruining the paint work of the car.

Totally in agreement with you. I was doing the same thing sometime ago. Now compelled to take the vehicles to the agents to keep the warranty going and to maintain perceived second hand value as prospective buyers think that company maintained is better than enthusiast maintained. Goes only for the service anything else DIY.

I never had any issues with Maradana for the 5 years (2013-2018) I had my CRV

rack Noice from shocks/rack ends in Honda Fit
kush replied to Yazi000's question in Mechanical problems
GP5 shocks, especially the fronts do not last long, i had to replace them within 35K km. (genuine mileage), once you replace the shocks get the alignment checked. Get it done soon as bad shocks could ruin your tires, mounts including engine mounts. You could also get the mechanic to check on any damage to the steering at the same time. -
I have Euro and my agent has advised me not to take it near any service even for a wash. At the service once a year they wipe the engine bay. I use a blower once in a while to get rid of the dust and wipe off any stubborn patches with a wet cloth. Most of the engine bay is covered so it is easier to clean. Even the high pressure on the wheels could damage your sensors (ABS) Actually you don't need to use the high pressure washers in vehicles, any muck in even on inner wheel archers could be hosed off using you garden hose. On my previous Japs i tell them not to wash the engine bay. This is what I have been practicing, newer had any issues (sensors/ electric) with any of my or my family cars for the last 30-40 years.

520d Buying BMW 520d 2012/2013. Need your expert opinion.
kush replied to Prime's question in Car Buying Information
Actually it was the mudalalis and their siblings who bought the F10 on permits sold by the holders. There are few who bought the car for their use knowing what was on offer. It was the best option for the permit at the time considering the actual cost of the vehicle and what you actually paid. If it is with the original owner, maintained by the agent with a decent mileage this will be the best way to go for a Euro. You could also look at E200 however will not give the same performance and the economy. Engine is known to be one of the best and i have herd of a one with over 250k with no issues, maintenance is the key. Look at the undercarriage for damage, with the long wheelbase and the low ground clearance it was prone for scraping. F10 will be better to drive if rear seating is not a big issue. Expect to pay premium for a well maintained car with good records. -
No point in buying a 1.0 L unless you have your own permit, even so it will be a waste Duty for a 1.0L will be Rs. 2.0 Mn., cost of the permit will be Rs. 2.3-2.4 Mn. as far as I know If you buy you loose Rs. 400k, sell your own permit and buy you make Rs. 400k ?
-
CH-R too will be similar price, it will not be as economical as the Axio, but will be a better vehicle and have better resale in 7-8 years time horizon you're looking at being a non-hybrid.
-
You can settle the lease (early settlement), company will give you the amount. Transfer the lease to your new vehicle (asset change), you can continue the lease as it is with the new vehicle, your leasing company will have to agree on the new vehicle, if the value is more or you remaining leased amount is significantly smaller than the value of the vehicle this should not be an issue. Do not sell the vehicle with the lease getting in to informal agreements with the buyer to settle the payment monthly for the rest of the period. This could get you in to unwanted issues.

Contrast high, too much light details of the dress and jewellery lost, little more depth would have got the earrings in focus If you have the raw file may be you could photo shop to get some of them right.

Premio, Civic 1.5L all will be out of your budget when you pay Rs. 2.3-2.4 Mn. for the permit. Out of balance Rs. 5.1-5.2 Mn. you will have to spend 2.0 Mn. for the balance duty if you opt for 1.5L ICE engine which will leave you Rs. 3.1-3.2 Mn. (JPY 1.9 - 2.0 Mn.) This will get you a hacked Premio from the auction. If you opt for a 1.2L or 1.5L hybrid additional duty will be Rs. 250K and Rs. 700K which will leave you additional Rs. 1.3-1.7 Mn. to be spend on the vehicle. i.e JPY 3.2-3.7 Mn. which would get you a unused (zero mileage) CH-R, Corolla Sport (if you find one) or a Axio Hybrid. with cash to spare. Alternatively you could go for Nissan they have 1.2-1.3 L engines in the range. Brand new Qashqai will be Rs. 5.6 plus permit from the agent, gray import will be less. .
