Not with all your requirements

It is just clipped by the bottom side, you should be able to unclip using a screw driver. If you're number plates were fixed by Stafford they are also suppose to paste the sticker in the windscreen. Go back to them and ask for it, if they have done the registration and fixing the number place they are responsible the get you the sticker I'm sure they would have missed it and it must be still in the number plate.
-
Totally wong You need the sticker in the windscreen, that is the purpose that it is issued. I do not know whether there are any legal provision to charge you if it is not there, but you could get harassed by cops when they stop you and notice it is not there. Supposing your windscreen is replaced you are suppose to take the glass piece with the sticker to RMV and get a new one.

Corolla 141 - Comfortable with good space for passengers and luggage, decent performance and handling, bullet proof build quality, no known major faults. Easy to maintain with good parts availability, routine maintenance services does not require specialist or equipment. Good specimens with decent mileage and full service history available if you shop around. Lancer EX/ Honda Civic/ Mazda 3 will be main rivals which outshine the Corolla in certain aspects, but not overall package.

brand new Is there a speed limit in first 1,000km for brand new cars
kush replied to Dhaham's topic in General Automotive
Better to take it easy on the first 1000km, and subsequently up to about 5000km. No hard acceleration, braking, avoid heavy traffic during first 1000 if possible. It is not the speed but stress on the engine, keep it below 3-4K rpm as much as possible. You will have no issues in exceeding legal speeds at this level. Even if you don't stick to this your engine will not die on you, but could result in premature wear which might affect the longevity of the engine.- 3 replies

What is the economy you get now, what type of driving conditions None of the cars I have/ had done that economy in town including GP5 (10-12kmpl), Wagon R (12-14kmpl) My BIL does not drive in heavy traffic gets 13-14 kmpl on his Swift RS 2017 If you want unregistered only car I could think will be a Wagon R or a similar Kei car for your budget. Calculate and see how much you're going to save a month it may be few thousand rupees unless you are a sales person or a taxi Ydriver who does 5-6K a month. You have one of the best cars in this price bracket and will definitely regret selling it

Which is the best Toyota Raize Model for my requirements?
kush replied to TDS's topic in General Automotive
Newer, actually car was spot less apart from few scratches in the bumper. Was rear ended twice by a motor bike and a Nissan Sunny both instances bumper bounced back with a gentle push. Only time I had a issues were Swift when the oil filter got bottomed up, got loose and I lost all oil for my luck with loss of oil pressure car went in to limp mode and i had to park on the roadside replace the filter and oil. No permanent damage, bloody thing had the filter right in front carved in to the sump. Long time back managed to go over a rock that was in middle of the road in my moms car (Nissan Sunny). Damaged the sump and oil was leaking all over the place. Managed to do the repair at the friendly welder near my place FOC. -
Toyota Lanka prices are ridicules they quoted Rs 60-70K for a Vitz service 40K km to a person working with me. This is for normal service with oil and filter change, CVT oil change, tuneup with spark plugs replacement.

Is this implemented in the first place There are no formal announcement from either treasury or customs.

I still don't understand why you want to wash the engine, most of the garages service stations wash it because owners expect them to do so. Get a blower just blow off the dust, wipe the stubborn stuff with a wet cloth. If you have grease or grime apply bit of petrol to a cloth and wipe off. If really soiled may be you can look at the options given above.

I here you, my Corolla Sport has only 135mm, you need to plan the route. negotiating the entry exit out of the road is the worse as there is either a hump, gradient too much etc.. This is the reason most of the buyers look for SUVs, just for the ground clearance nothing else. -
In SL normal thumb rule is divide by 2 and do the servicing Oil / Oil filter 7.5K Air cleaner 20-25K max (more frequent if soiled) due to our dusty conditions they will not last long, sometimes i have even changed them in 10K Coolant can go up to about 5 years 100K as the anti freeze property is not a big concern They have missed the brake oil change every 2 years, 40K km most important and ignored in SL, high humidity in SL has significant effect on the quality and performance of brake fluid.

On the matter of 4WD/ AWD and resale market sentiment has changed last few years as most of the SUVs that were imported are FWD (Vezel/ CRV). In fact Vezel 2WD is easier to sell and in the CRV it does not make any difference. On larger SUVs like the Sorento AWD fetch premium (most of the time you can recover what you paid for AWD initially) I'm not disputing advantage of AWD even in the dry as it gives better balance in cornering, taking off on steep inclines, traction from standing start etc.. They some times have better rear suspension setup multi-link vs basic which also improve handling and ride. But how many of average driver make use of this, most of the SUVs in SL are bought for their perceived status, driving position and the ride height to manage the bad roads. They never go off road not even on grass. -

Cannot agree more iRage I would advise on the 2WD and save the money or spend on something more useful as our conditions and driving styles does not require AWD. When there is a new SUV all go crazy here and get in to the band wagon not realizing that there could be issues as the cars age. Every one got down Vezel until they realize on the DCT issues MG/ CHR - until poor economy All Audi Q2/ 3008/ CRV - too early to tell -
Since your car is 2012 and most likely this is the original battery it is 7 years old and likely time for replacement, other cells will also fail sooner or later. If you are planning to keep the car for few more years suggest you get a new one from Toyota Lanka with a warranty for peace of mind, this will help you in resale too. If you spend a lot it is very unlikely that you will recover the cost short term in which case the cell replacement will be the most cost effective.

SUV will be only CHR anything else would be above your budget

Since this is a personal transaction valuation does not come in to play. It is the price decided between two parties, what if he give this as a gift?? As duty is based on CC valuation / LC value has no impact on duty, anyway customs will use their own valuations. You will need to have an acceptable invoice from your cousin to open the LC with the bank giving his account details etc.. He will need to get the de-registration (with English translation), inspection certificate etc.. which you will need to clear and register the vehicle Your bank will able to assist with the list of documents required.

Yep in fact that was one of the reviews that convinced be to opt for the Corrolla given that there were no vehicles for a test drive.

Do dreams come true? = YES (Bought a lancer ex)
kush replied to K.o.N.o.S's topic in General Automotive
It was a factory fault, they newer did a recall but replaced them up to 2 years from date of purchase. They should have replaced all of them Majority of the early imports had the issue.- 233 replies

Check the top mount of the suspension, you can do this simply by removing the rubber cover over the nut and swinging the car. Try to simulate the TOK sound and locate it, you might need someones assistance.

Definitely need to tuneup it should not do over 6-7kmpl
