srsly? Is that how it's being sold here or has the owner just rebadged it himself?

Chery Tiggo. Almost a RAV4 clone, but not as much as the Jonway UFO.

I'm thinking RAV4 but there's just something funky about that headlamp...

Has Any One Bought Anything From E Bay ?
terrabytetango replied to Sumiya's topic in General Automotive
IMO, if the packaging is unassuming and compact, they will let it through. I've bought several small but costly ($300+) items, mostly watches, and never once had them detained by customs. However, a new body for one of my R/Cs, that cost me less than $60 shipped, was held up at the parcel post office. I had to waste over an hour of my time and close to 800 bucks to clear it. The only difference was the large 3 foot, as opposed to the small packages my watches came in (with the exception of a few G shocks and Suuntos). -
Hint: This car spawned a monster.

A mate of mine had the same issue with registering his 2nd gen Allion. He ran for months on a garage plate, and they finally took the car back from him because he was PO'd at how long the registration process was taking him. He bought himself a Hilux Vigo Extra Smart Cab ( what a mouthful!) instead.

My first accident was with a large column of reinforced concrete. It just came out of nowhere. I still have nightmares about it.

Has this something to do with the suspension of sales of the Lexus GX460 (which is based on the new Prado)? IMO, it *is* BS what the US regulators are saying about the thingy flipping over while decelerating when taking a corner. They just want to stick it to Toyota when they're already down from the hullabaloo over the stuck pedals in Prius' and Camrys and what not, while giving the big 3 a foothold to climb out of the hole they dug themselves into two years ago.

I did this two months ago, and I found a loop hole. If your green test is still valid for this year (i.e. not expired yet, but going to expire in the next few days/weeks), you can still submit for a renewal. So I won't have to pay for a green test till next year. I do recommend that you leave a buffer of a week or two, in case it expires while your application is being processed.

srsly? Is a new shell involved, or will the existing one be modified?

Salutations and a Happy New Year. When I returned from my extended sojourn from the land of the suddas some days ago, I found a mate in the office had bought a Toyota Smart Cab. All I can say is, the thing is huge. It barely fits in his parking slot, it's the tallest thing in the parking lot and I always picture it wearing a pair of bull's horns (think Texas, Oil and large Cadillac). It is an impressive vehicle, the interior and ride puts more than a few Saloon cars to shame, and it will reach 140 effortlessly. Of course the down side is that, it has all the decorative accessories as well, complete with the chopstick antennas, useless roof adornments, debadged chrome grill and and chrome lamp covers. It's manual, and of the 3 litre variety and cost a total sum of 4.7 million. I want one.

I make it a habit to warm up the van on every cold start, and I always pre-heat as well. But I never bothered warming up the Cobalt, and it doesn't seem worse for wear now (was back stateside for the hols). My neighbour however warms up his old Chevy stepside pickup. But it does have a large V8 which idles like crap till its properly warmed up, so I guess thats why he does it. And the Germans warm up too!

MeanGreenZ28, I couldn't help but notice you drive a Z28, yet your sig mentions you're a Ford user? I've seen people lose teeth and break noses over the Ford/GM debate

Pity I missed the Crown Waiting for the next post.

Starter Motor Runs Continuously
terrabytetango replied to harshansenadhir's question in Electrical problems
Yeah it's a stuck solenoid. Happened to one of our work vans some months back and the battery ran down in minutes (driver was completely unaware of the issues, motor had fried a winding in the process). -
I knew that Emblem looked familiar, my cousin had an Oettinger Bora for a while, it had the complete Oettinger interior treatment with emblems galore. So there's one of these Oettinger Vanagons roaming the streets of SL?

Like this?

Come on guys, the whole topic of good vs bad modded Hondas (or any vehicle) is very subjective and more ambiguous than the policies of our current government. It could very well be that the two of you have probably seen the same vehicles, yet form different opinions about them.

How tasteless/unimaginative/goday would a person have to be to modify a Cefiro of all things, and in such a manner too??? That photo caused me a jawdrop moment. More proof that money does not buy taste, only allows the lack thereof be expressed more emphatically.

I've seen it in person, and a mate rode in it once. I was browsing through his photos on FB, and I figured this car would create a lot of head scratching.

Crap, I just fell prey to your signature and tried to flick away the annoying bug three times. But to my credit, I'm on the phone and have an attention span measured in micro seconds.

I guess since Supra did mention the vehicle, he gets the year's supply of parippu. It is indeed a Ferrari Mondial T.
