CR41 comes wth a 2C engine, CR42 with a 3C-E engine. KR41 comes with a 1.5 liter engine, the KR42 with a 1.8 (not sure what the petrol engine designations are)
Their dashboards are also different; 42 series has the radio mounting position up on top of the dashboard, similar to the corolla 110 cars.
The difference between the CR27 Liteace and Townace are :
- the front blinkers, the liteace has amber units with integrated parking lights, townace has clear units with orange shroud for the bulb inside, and no provision for parking lights.
- the grill is different, the liteace has "nostrils" where as the townace has the parking lights in that position.
- model name on the steering wheel.
No difference in size whatsoever. Neither are differentiated as export/jdm models, they just follow the trend of Toyota having two or more models using the same chassis with minor difference in the body (toyota regius/touring hiace, corolla ceres/sprinter marino, etc)
