Doesn't everyone who like's to keep their cars clean have one of these???? Especially when based in dusty suburbs
-
Just to add my two cents to MD’s valuable comment, due to high cost of living car fuel efficiency is one of the most buzzing topics in a conversation. Some individuals suffering from superiority complexities like to exaggerate their figures causing others to doubt if there’s something wrong with their cars. Taking into account the average car buyers knowledge of the subject and all the stunts pulled by car seller these days I think it is perfectly reasonable for someone to harbor such doubts.

Car Was Wrecked Asian Alliance Is Undervaluving The Car.
xXx replied to chan5's topic in General Automotive
Not sure what the procedure in SL is but in some countries accident vehicles are written off by insurance companies not necessarily due to their lack of roadworthiness. It mainly depend on the country/state/province safety laws and the insurer’s pay out strategy. In some scenarios a car may be written off or declared as a total loss if the total cost of the damage is as low as 50% of the value of the car. Depending on the magnitude of the damage the vehicles title is declared/re-classified as a rebuilt or junk/scrap car. A rebuilt titled car can be repaired and after passing a safety inspection be put back in the circulation. I think a system like that will greatly benefit the local car industry. But then again in this banana republic integrity of such an evaluation and classification program will be questionable. On a side note, does anyone know how badly damaged the red NSX or Aravinda’s old Ferrari was? Imagine the safety of the resurrected specimens specially when taking in to account their ability to hit top speeds and the potential buyers/owners mentality (due to their financial and/or political fire power)???? -
There are lot of 'desha premiyo' who'll dig this shit up like no tomorrow...

VVTi if the cows are ripped for miking why not. They've done their research right this time. Kudos i say.

What's up with our fellow Autolankans today, both this and VVTi's post in Post Whoring thread on this subject seem to have gone under the radar. If the government wants to cut the import of vehicles shouldn't they start by limiting the number of permits they are offering left right and center these days??? It smells like a certain individual has diverted his interest from sending rockets to assembling cars LOL....

So how long do you guys think it'll take for this car to resurrect and be up for sale at your friendly neighborhood car sale LOL.... On a bit of a serious note, is the moral of the story here is to undervalue your car for insurance knowing that the insurer will never settle the full amount??? -
Isn't it a big no no to replace just one tier?

Hmm.. not a bad idea for the CHOGM cars http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-26784036

Toyota Prius, Honda Fit/ Vezel Recall Information
xXx replied to osaka_dude's topic in General Automotive
VVTi, i was referring to the 10% fee charged by RMV when transferring the ownership of a car brought down under a permit. I guess less than 25-35% of the permit holders actually bring down a car and hold on to it. Rest end up selling their permits so why not make some money out of it. Plus with the second round of permits been issued now (for the same people who received them 5 year prior) percentage of permit holders selling their permits will be even higher. -
Whaaaat!!!! 1 million .That makes no sense. Who in the right frame of mind would get one. If it was in the 150 - 250k range i can see owners with exotics going for it. but 1 mil is just outrageous.

Since this thread is adding zero value, i'm going to hijack it for a bit GTAm, Wait till PBJ gets the wind of it, man will come up with another diabolical plan. The new permit transfer fee is nothing short of absolute brilliance. Specially the elimination of the tax clearance requirement. Wonder why it took him this long to think of it. Maybe there's a Chinese loan payment upcoming lol. -
Bracket machang here some hot hot news for you. Toyota Will Pay $1.2 Billion to Settle Probe In Safety IssuesSpread the news, advise people not to buy Lexus/Toyota
-
OMG that's one sweet deal. You think you'll be able to hook me up with a similar deal???? No, i'm still here in the Great White North lol.
-
ah that indeed is a good strategy. I've been told dealer commissions are in the range of 3-5k for a mid 30k car
-
Max, you should share your wisdom on 'how to hustle a stealership' lol. BTW why a X5, not a Merc ML/GL or even a Range Sport?

This thread brought back some good old memories. I remember there was lot of chatter here trying to figure out who the owners were when the first few H2 units hit the shore back in early/mid 2000's. As Hoonigan has said 19mil is LR (used) territory. But then again they are dime a dozen. What do you guys think about the 'jungy dropping' factor (in SL) of a H2 vs say a used Vogue or a Sport?

Director general of RMV sometimes make appearances on AutoVision. Been a live show it'll be interesting if someone call in and expose all these loop holes and show how easily they can be closed.

This is the exact reason why Watchman suggested the use of the other (korando) thread

reminds me of the vadura and the dali pihiya fable I'm with Dili on this one. In this day and age of high fuel bills there 's no shame in fuel consumption getting the highest priority when choosing a car.

On a positive note, its good to see the "Search for dummies post" is been put to full use.
-
Boys how about someone create a detailed post/thread/document on how to do a search in Autolanka. A real 'search for dummies' kinda documentation. So when ever a new topic that has previously been discussed pops up in AL anyone can simply post a one line reply linking that doc and close/lock the thread leaving no room for useless banter, accusations and name calling etc.
