levin's and trueno's are very bad cars. old and rusty. and its a nightmare finding parts and they are very tricky to handle. the nx coupe and the cynos on the other hand are sure fire winners. you'll get admiring glances wherever you go. and they wear their modifications quite well compared to other cars -

as a former victim of rice-itis i could confirm that such an operation will cost u anything between 1.5 to 2 mil. in other words you can buy a real car for that money however if you want to stand out from the rest of crowd i can also suggest going to work naked. cos that will attract the same kind of attention you would driving around in a riced up civic -

Total Recall: 50 Most Memorable Movie Cars
JadeyBlitzen replied to Pericles's topic in General Automotive
actually that is the whole movie. a french director called claude lelouche had some film left over after making some movie. so he strapped on a huge movie cam in front of his s classe mercedes and went for a final glory run through the streets of paris. then he some dubbed ferrari engine noise over it and voila! he had an instant winner in his hands -

and here's the video once described by jeremy clarkson as "makes bullitt look like a cartoon". C'était un rendezvous (insert french accent here ) http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category...v596454yX8nSphf -
well i agree with your comment on vaporisation. but unless you got a trip computer there's no way of telling how much fuel u've used unless you brim the tank. so most of the figures you achieve by topping up your tank half way are innacurate. not that your car does badly on fuel when the tank is mostly empty. its just its very hard to calculate the amount of fuel you've used accurately. but then again say you are driving around in a car that weighs 800 kgs and has a 45 litre tank. if you brim it as opposed to driving around with just 5 litres in the tank (which should be enough for a couple of trips to town) the weight of your car is increased by around 5%. and thats the equivalent of carrying an extra 12 year old in the car. so that'll definitely have an effect on your economy and performance. and the vios can do 12 km/l in colombo. provided its a manual and you keep the revs way below 2000 rpm on every gear. you can get any car to achieve unbelievable fuel figures if you can drive very carefully.

Hello i'm trying to figure out the best way increase the power of a bone stock 2c-III engine on a cr51 my options so far... 1) fitting a 3c-te engine from a cr42/52 (not the efi version). no questions about that i guess (power 94ps) 2) mounting all the turbo bits (turbo, header, oil lines, etc etc) from a 2c-t engine to the standard engine. would i need to replace the diesel pump in this case? or can i just tune it to suit the new needs? (power 87ps) 3) fitting the head from 3c-te engine (the efi version from an emina). would this be ok with the valve clearance? the 3c has has a CR of 22.6:1 and on the 2c its 23:1. would this have an adverse effect on the conversion? or is it possible at all due to the different architecture of the 2 engine bays? (power hopefully 105ps) I'm not very fond of getting a new engine from japan partly because there's no guaruntee for mileage or condition of the engine. and mostly because the current block was recently rebuilt and it would be a shame not to use it. anyway there will be an appropriately sized intercooler going in after the conversion (possibly 5-10hp) and tiny modifications done to the air intake and the exhaust system to gain a coupla more horsepower. any other ideas to jump up the horsepower a bit more? Many thanks

guys what we shouldn't forget is that these cars have tiny engines which are under huge stress. for instance some kei class cars and vans had engines with some means of forced induction. taking the power upto 64bhp. thats the equivalent of you corolla having 150-160. and the vans and trucks which are somewhat heavier and are used to carry large amounts off goods and/or 5 passengers work a lot harder than an equivalent kei car. so the engines wear out a lot faster even if they are NA than they would on a normal car. so anyone who thinks of buying such a vehicle should be aware of this matter. IMO with a hard life a rebuild will be due between 100-150k km.

people who talk to me on the side of the road almost always ask me what the engine capacity of my car is. usually ends up with raised eyebrows and followed by the question helrazor mentioned. according to them hatchbacks are supposed to have 1000cc engines and they don't understand the concept of achieving good figures even with bigger engines. not to mention most people's idea of a good fuel consumption figure is 10 km/l

2" is well negligable. it seemed much wider in the pics. i stand corrected -
my advice is don't switch to injection. cos once u turbocharge it all the ecu mapping will drive u up the wall. but then again i dont kno how easy it is to turbocharge a carb fed engine. you'll probably need uprated parts. i'll let the carb experts comment on that. anyways unless u got a factory ecu for the turbo, turbocharging an efi car is a chore

try ebay or minispeed.co.uk if its so hard to find them in sl its better to use a mail order company. -
well its just my opinion. i havent seen a major stock market success story in sl for one. and i was never good with stocks anyway just feel a lot safer throwing all my money into an fd.

if you do get a del sol try doing a b16 conversion. or at least you'll wish you did if i pull up next to you at traffic lights in my vitz anyways if you are moving into the 2 seater roadster market whats wrong with an mx5? with that handling you won't bother with the power at all.

i thought they used honda bits or something well i'm guessing the familiar go kart like handling is pretty much retained then. but that has to be the widest track i've ever seen on a vtec mini. that has to have some effect. as for my project, its in a postponed state. don't see it starting for another 2 years at least however i might try my luck at finding a zx14 engine over a hayabusa one -

thats not quite how i expected them to do it. i mean the usual way is to utilise the existing mechanicals isn't it? as much as i appreciate these men for going ahead with such a tricky project i'm worried how it had affected the original mini handling characteristics. cos even if u ignore losing the original mini suspension, such a wide track on a car with a wheelbase as short as a minis might make up for some interesting high speend handling characteristics. well thats just my opinion -
i say we should leave it alone. cos the pristine cars oughta be kept pristine. otherwise they'll fall to the fate of the ones spending most of their lives in garages. see whats happening to all the EGs in the country?

i saw some pics of the vtec mini at the meet. the wheels seem to have outgrown the fenders a bit. otherwise it looks good. will you be able to give us a 411 on this specific car mini? -
planting the trees yourself is a pretty good idea. plus you can lease the land for that period of time. but then again if there are so many companies and individuals investing on mahogany what are the chances of oversupply in say a decades time? inflation and currency rates might make the pay off somewhat insiginificant as well. but so far this seems like the best bet. has anyone got a private power plant? sometime back this was all the rage. the initial cost is quite high. but i'm sure it'll pay it self over and over again at least a hundred times.

would this really make a difference? i mean voting against the ltte for the oprah show was another matter. but this time we are going againt the whole tamilnadu. so we are clearly outnumbered here. the only chance we stand is less people have access to broadband up there and isnt this somewhat irrelevant? i mean i doubt this will have any effect on deciding prabhakaran's fate
