  1. sounds like a case of "samadhaa oba magey" so whats going to fill its garage space D_Z?
  2. are you hinting that your z's up for grabs?
  3. i dont know about my speed limiter but it seems my rpm limiter has a mind of its own. when i was at king of the streets II i accidently went upto 80 on 1st gear trying to catch up with the ##### boys in front of pilla. the noise was biblical. but i thought i ruined the oil pump p.s. and i almost clipped peri's vzr trying to get going
  4. so theoretically mines faster than yours if i remove the limiter. doubt i can do it though
  5. shows just how much i experiment with my top speed what does it normally feel like? i'm guessing its a fuel cut off. do u still have a limiter on the vzr? don't worry mate! those antics were from a bygone era
  6. damn! our OT crowd would have had a field day had u not mentioned that anyways. Miyuru Daminda is right. pregneant women weren't invented with seatbelts in mind. and thats probably the only option you got. and to add something to that its better if she travels in the back seat. but remember thats NOT an excuse not to fasten up. R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
  7. well the best option then is to do what i said. there will be some cutting and painting involved. and i got a feeling it'll definitely affect the resale value. afaik sri lankan buyers are easily put off by cars with sunroofs.
  8. with me behind the wheel 180 - Vitz RS (on marine drive. maybe i hit the limiter?) 130 - Montero diesel (again on marine drive) and so far my proudest achievement... 100 between roundabouts after a standstill start on GP on a 72 bhp noah the wild ride... 140 on cbk mw. with 7 ppl in the car with me on the passenger seat 220 - Volvo 850 T5R (on the A3 trying to get to uni on time ) 200(125mph) - bmw 318 the 143bhp one (on the M1) 120 - Defender Tdi (going down the parliment road with headlights on, on a parliment day. as we were slowing down hard in front of the parliment gates the cops and the army were actually clearing up to open the gates for us )
  9. couldn't it be that every little incovenience is covered up with money?
  10. thats just too big for a folding bicycle. let me guess, this was made by the americans
  11. glad you are not showering it with fake praise for me the fastest 4x4 out there is still the supercharged RR
  12. personally i wont carry out such an operation on a car as new as an es8. if you wont it badly the best option is to get the components from wrecked car in japan. i think its easier if you chop the roof and bring it down. once it arrives fit all the parts to your car. dont try chopping your roof and fitting the new one. cos that'll just weaken the structure.
  13. spot on mate. i guess we are seeing the silver line in a mushroom cloud
  14. if some photoshop guru makes the wheels biggers and moves the back wheels a bit more towards the rear i think we'll be able to see how pininfarina wanted this car to look. cos if you take the bit above the shoulder line this does have the makings of a really good looking car. but thanks to the indians ignorance of aesthetics its just a big minger i wonder what GTAm has to say about this sacrilege
  15. happy birthday mate! have a good one
  16. when's the next autoX event peri? and how can we take part?
  17. seems like they havent even bothered to stretch the platform. just look at that hideous rear overhang.
  18. it looks more like lexus gs and puegoet 407 to me. but as with all tata concepts the wheels are too f*****g small. seriously i don't know when they'll learn. and i dont believe thats the exact shape pininfarina intended it to be.
  19. yep thats exactly where i knicked that idea from ha ha funny!
  20. depends. if you do it on a van or a jeep its quite straightforwards. for sliding sun roofs you'll have to do some extensive work. lots of welding and sometimes cutting bits of the structute. afaik the roof lining is the hardest bit to get right. cos it'll be a lot lower from the inside and there's quite a lot pulling and stretching involved. unless you can get the rooflining from a car that came with a sun roof. if its not an option on your car and it has one of those roof lining jobs installing a slide sun roof will be really tricky. other than that its matter of cut n shut. there's a myth about the seals usually detoriating in warm weather and could leaking in rain water. i've noticed that on some land rovers. also you'll lose some of the headroom. and if you are anal about weight it adds a few kilos to the highest point of your car.
  21. @ gajaya for what sort of car are you trying to fit a sunroof? cos i might be able to help you on this
  22. if its "retrofying"/modernising that you are talking about there's quite a lot of lines to be erased and gaps to get rid of. the end result would still look chavvy anyways lets not talk about murdering beetles too much cos i dont wanna incur S_N's wrath however i must add out of all the ruined beetles i've seen this has the most flush fitting headlighs. but thats sure as hell not a compliment. and if you want a modified beetle helrazor why not put an air cooled porsche flat 6 in the back add some 5 spoke wheels from a 60s 911 and paint it in solid dark blue? oh and dont forget to lower it
  23. i saw an advert about them many many years ago. there should be someone here who knows about their whereabouts.
  24. i thought the same at first. but my god look where those pedals are in relation to the steering wheel and the seat
