Yes and nice to drive, although I've only driven a saloon. I like the two door saloon as well. It's got some cheeky funkyness to it's boxy shape. Anyway the 128 was a land mark car that set the template for others to follow. Transverse OHC engine, Independent Mcpherson strts all round and disc brakes in front! All in a 1969 cheap family runabout! Only they forgot rustproofing

7th of December. But Classic and Sports and Classic Cars are thin already most of them have been snapped up. Friend of mine bought 40 But try your luck they said there were more that might come.

Tell me about it. I painstakingly chose 250 songs....... But it was in my dad's car and he forgot to lock is as he does often. Worst of all it was a gift from my gf . Luckily she's very cool

Maroon one was owned by a gentleman called Vamadevan - large property developer. Sold it recently though. The black?? Or is it a dark blue? is owned by the "New World" boys who love cricket as well

Ha ha trust them to do that. Read the massive group test in the current issue though and the damn Cayenne wins over the X6, Lex, LR3, Land Cruiser etc etc and it was mostly off road . Beauty's only skin deep ??

Oh yes agreed the chase in Casino Royale was a joke. And what's really annoying is how FoMoCo scatters their products as if there are no other cars in the world. Its way to obvious. So annoying - went OTT in Die another Day and then vcontinued in Casino Royale as well. And now you tell me about the Ford Edge Not sure that budgets could be a problem as they crashed 12 DBS in Quantum!!!! In Quantum the chick was to drive a Fiat Panda initially, but Ford bulldozed it out and put the Ka in instead. But getting the 159s is a better compromise I'm sure But Brosnan did get tortured like crazy in Die Another day...... where they used scorpions wasn't it? Yes Dani Craig is a bit hard to get used to with all that blood. And lacks the sauve Britishness, he's more football hooligan than SPY. But perhaps more realistic and what most people want to see. After all Sean Connery's given him a thumbs up! Maybe it's marketing. For me though Dalton was the best. Cold, Very British, A bit mysterious, tougher than Brosnan, cooler than Craig, Funnier than Connery but not the comedian that Moore was! But there you have it. Many critics rate him as the best but I don't think Joe Public in the US and Asia really gelled with him. They want Craig bleeding every minute and running like a train.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking I'll go for a compromise initially having them off for a while. But off means it would need to be lowered a bit or else it'll look a bit odd. I'm thinking of keeping the Alfetta v original and making this closer to a GTA look alike though it will never be a full GTA replica as this is the face lifted version. But depending on the comments I get I'll decide if I should get a new front bumper. I'm also considering strategically placed minor race livery such as white four leaf clover on fenders and some large white discs on the doors and a serpent on the bonnet........but such a long way more to go........

Might have been feature a long time ago. I know the guy who owns it. Occasionally he decides to sell it and then changes his mind . Btw there are 3 or them that I've seen in SL including this one.

Ok Boys Mega Delimma time. My front bumper is a bit untidy. Have it with the Bumpers ON? OR OFF?

How clear was the dvd Dev? Worth breaking my anxiety? Good question about the races. I guess it could be the easiest route to power and the 4wd cars require the least skill as well. Yes it was an awesome site. There was an MR2 as well that came in last! Can't recall all the other cars as we were on the edge the way the Mini kept taking one car per lap and over took the leading Lagacy on the last corner of the last lap. The crowd went bersek as you can imagine! This small odd looking Mini taking on and beating such newer cars! Ist Gen RS Legacys driven by ######## Weerasinghe and Cassim Wahab. One of the RX 7s were driven by Manapperuma snr if I remember right!

I'm re-visiting Bryan Ferry and Chris Rea (particularly good for driving) these days. Miss my Ipod ---- It was stolen a couple of months back Got some Desmond De Silva as well just for some humour

Looking at the helmets and angle of the heads I'd say a bit more But look here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GlpVUS9uLXU Good music at least !!

I watched Casino Royale on Friday for the 3rd time and I have to say that I think Dani Craig is super. I think it's a sign of the times. He's more masculine, Tough etc. Appeals to the modern audience. I never liked Brosnan - the image of Remington Steel never left me. And he's extremely poor in Golden Eye, the Z3 doesn't help the cause either. Of course he improved with time and his best performance was Die Another Day. Didn't get beaten up Peri?? How about in the North Korean camp in Die Another Day where he came out looking like John Lennon in his Love guru days!? And c'mon Peri there have been so many Bond's with hardly what you could call a car chase..... But I'm all for P Diddy as the new Pheelyx Lyter !!

There was a S1 convertible in 007's Octopussy wasn't there? Quite cool I thought. I used to like the Overfinch RRs. Wonder if they're still around. Very 80s....
-
Looks like it's cornering pretty flat too
-
Yes I've seen the ads in mags. I wonder what it will taste like Will it be as smooth as a twin cam or have the punch of a V6!? At least it has no cam belt to snap !
-
Was he trying to run away of engage them? If they are twisties on the Italian Alps..... Italian cars are known for their mid range punch and perfect gearing on those twisty mountain roads. Drive one to Nuwara Eliya and you'll what I mean. As I always believe figure say only half the story........ I've got a story in an old Autocar somewhere about how these two testers did a long drive in the UK, one in a 911 Turbo 993 and the other in a Peugeot 306 GTi-6. And what was amazing was how the 911 always had the Pug on it's tail. Then read CAR Jan 2008 issue - Dream drives Monte Carlo to Modena The Alfa 8C could always stick with the lighter more powerful 430 Scuderia. In theory this should not happen. The Scud is brand spanking new tech, track honed by the Meister himself. The Alfa chassis is Maserati left-overs re-heated by the Alfa engineers. Magic or what? Then there was the best race I've ever seen at Katu. Modded Mini driven by Iqbal, came from behind and ate two Subaru Legacys RSs and two RX7 TTs for lunch! This was sometime in the mid 90s. Ok ok maybe Bond was having a bad day
-
Gave up the idea mate as I want the Turbo Esprit from FOR YOUR EYES ONLY!
-
Yes I think the red LHD was the car that was won by the chaiman of the then agnets for Austin Rover - Anglo Asian Motors. What's the story about the Gulf War Devinda? Never heard that one!
-
VW briefly became the world's largest car company by market capitalization when their share price went over 1000 Euros. How wierd that a tiny sports car maker is trying to take over the largest car company in the world!
-
That'll be quite a tall ask given recent Astons' reliability issues
-
Well at least it's ugly enough to deserve the Diesel!!!

The SL55 is restricted to 155mph. De-restricted I reckon it could do close to 200mph. What would be interesting though would be to see which is faster around a track. I'd bet on the Ferrari NOT driven by the owner of course Btw any 911 Turbos in SL? Heard a wild rumour about a Gemballa or Ruff 911......or was I dreaming ?
