Ok then I guess it's the car in that garage down Dupli near House of Fashion. The guy (garage owner) has this constant mantra that he is about to re-build it, but this has gone on for years. You maybe able to soften him by now and induce him to sell. Worth a try. But it is a huge project - Lots of corrosion as you would expect and the engine is busted. The good news is you can get an engine from UK or OZ and there are some panels too. The bad news is they're never cheap.

You probably need to contact some old bike enthusiasts. Will try to get you a contact. I'm quite sure you'll be able to find one. Alternately you can place a wanted ad in the news papers or magazine. Btw any chance of us knowing who your father was?

Very true. On Sunday I got caught returning from Unawatuna doing 79km/h in a 56 zone . So strange since when I was on my way there on Saturday I did many kms over the 3 figure mark and there was not a cop in sight. How long did were you able to drive at those speeds? Here we are able to hit high speeds only for a few seconds however powerful the car you drive! Very frustrating!

Well it's probably because of it's looks. But if you drive one you'll know that it was engineered for true driving enthusiasts. Pin sharp steering and that amazing gear change !

Yes that's the Stola concept. Fans were all worried as Fiat reduced Abarth to merely a styling badge in the 90's. Now they've started a new sub brand with Abarth centres etc. and are giving Abarth it's due recognition. It will be very interesting to see what the next Abarth model will be after the 500 and the Grande Punto. As Devinda mentioned it would great to have a Stradale (road version) of the S2000 WRC car. It would be a modern day Integrale.

The Junior will look like that if not better. There are sneak pics of the bodyshell on the production lines on the net now. I think in SL a smaller performance car is fast becoming more suitable. There are two 147s in SL. Both are 1.6s one red one silver. The Silver one was not running and there's a rumour that it could be for sale.

In SL? Now they say in MAY 08. 500 demand has outstripped supply hence the delay for small markets like ours. They are upping production though. Well it is a nice looking car and although I really am not a fan of Retro I like this one and would buy an Abarth if I am unable to afford the new Alfa Junior that's due later this year. Well your probably right but my Giulia Drive was at like 6.30am and the other drives are usually on a Sunday morning, so not much traffic. Oh the 406 is a great car for that bend! I actually did a few bursts on that road in an Evo 6. But really can't recall the speeds I hit. I tend not to look at the speedo when speeding !

Saw a good looking 6 Sri Red Mk2 Capri yesterday on D S Senkye Mw Borella last evening. Could not get a pic as I was driving. It looked very good.

Nice to hear that you thrash the old cars too . They thrill more eh? I really miss my cars now that they're being restored. My fastest in the Giulia was 130km/h down McCallum Rd, Lake house to darley road. The engine was worn and the clutch was on the edge for a long time, so above that speed it sounds and feels thrashy. Did 140km/h in my Fiat 131 S on the same road in the opp direction. Took that nice left hander in the middle with just a dab on the brake pedal on entry. My two passengers were dead silent ! We were out running a friend's twin cam Fiat 124 Spider. He generously gave us a head start and regretted !

I doubt it's a Pullman. There used to be a 280SEL 3.5 near your office Milindu along with a couple of Citroens and old bikes any idea if someone rescued them. There is a stretched W115 here though.
