    Prius Hybrid

Know what you're getting into first. I was a proponent of Hybrids in SL until I started looking into service side of the equation. Below are some parts that is Hybrid unique that if goes wrong will set you back few bucks. Parts only pricing. All in US $$ and the cost in US. In SL prices may be significantly higher + labor if you find one that is qualified. HV inverter $3,800 AC Compressor $2,800 Battery pack $5,000 Transmission $3,500 --- $7,000+ depending on what went out.

  21. Easy way is to go under the car and locate the fuel feed line where it transition from hard line to a soft line. It is very near the tank and should be held by couple of clips. Undo one of the clips and pull one side of the rubber hose out and let the gravity do its thing.
  22. I'm in the Pacific time zone.

    Oil Sludge

Don't flush the engine before you find out if your engine does have a sludge problem and how bad. Just remove your valve cover, which is fairly easy to do, and look at your cam area for sludge build up. If there's a heavy tar like build up then you don't want to flush the engine. All it's going to do is loosen up all that junk and clog up your oil passages making a bad situation worst. If there is no sludge, then your problem is somewhere else.
