  1. Is there a hybrid version of ES- series Civic in Sri Lanka?

  2. three wheelers and scootys have that option too
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 'modified sine wave" an eyewashing term for a square wave?

    Evo Engine

Maybe he's fishing for some evo engine parts this time These little scammers just climb out of the woodwork don't they?
  5. Isn't that a rather expensive and meaningless surgery on that car? Any particular reason why it went through that (instead of getting an original butt).?
  6. Looks like somebody is in Chicago Thought that was a bit of a bankrupt city Sorry for the OT dude
  7. Sorry for taking the topic OT guys, but I couldn't help but posting this one when I saw Fiat Panda 45 Now that's a well-handling car
  8. 1. You can go AROUND the potholes in a Mini 2. If you don't like manoeuvering around potholes, you can always adjust the suspension, fix a 13-inch wheel set and a sump guard (I had these done because the road I was living at that time was full of potholes anyway)
  9. Agreed with tilvin. Buyers' demand depends on the price that you quote. Quote a reasonable price (considering the current market trends) and you will sell your car in no time. Don't expect punchi car sale to create miracles.
  10. There's a better place to sell a car, which is 100% safe Because... 1. you keep the vehicle 2. you keep the original documents 3. you show the car to potential buyers 4. you decide and negotiate on the price and it costs you only 800 rupees it's called autolanka classifieds
  11. Whoops sorry Komi, instead of clicking +1, I clicked on -1 by mistake
  12. It's very easy for somebody to come up with an idea or put up an internet video. but it may take decades or centuries for these to become reality. For example, Napolean came up with the idea of an undersea tunnel between england and france back in 1700s. But it became a reality in 1990s.
  13. Well... the word 'train' has now evolved from 'large number of connected compartments that run on rails' to 'compartments that float"... that's what magnetic levitation trains are all about. although there are rails, these trains don't touch them. they levitate (float) on top.... u can call this one a bus if you like... but the principle remains same.
  14. Toyota - Tercel, Starlet, Corolla II Nissan - Doctor Sunny Honda - City (97/98 models) If you can convince your dad, try this one http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=120593 It IS reliable, very fuel efficient and nice looking. all spares are available in panchi for this model. And if u buy it for around 7/50-8, it can be sold easily.
  15. For that budget, Maruti 800 will give the best fuel efficiency and a reasonable level of reliability. Nano would do better on fuel but its reliability is questionable. This is merely considering your two requirements. If you have further requirements, you should post them. If you can find a well maintained Perodua Kelisa, for that budget, its the best option. @priyanka - Japanese Alto or Minica (both 660CC) wouldn't be very efficient on fuel owing to their poor power to weight ratio. Have you ever used any one of those?
  16. 'Hyperloop', like 'supercharger' is another one of those fancy words of Elon Musk. It's just another LRT system, which uses magnetic levitation. Chinese Maglev system does about 500km/h from what I know. Google says it should be around 500km from SF to LA (as the crow flies). So with improvements to the available technology and making the train smaller, one can easily achieve 1000km/h, which is needed to travel from frisco to LA in 1/2 hour. Only difference between the existing system and this one is, it seems to be solar powered.
  17. It's clean... it's fast... its a Corolla with a 1.3ltr engine :D

@maggy - looks like a 4e-fte but he tuned it from sacha, that thing is putting out 220bhp now

    3. Magnum

      Magnum

so if the Rolla is also tuned, it can put out 220BHP

    4. Schiffer

      Schiffer

yeap, if sacha can work his magic on it, but the starlet still has a better power to wieght ratio

  18. Didn't u try to market this car on another thread?
  19. Welcome back.... So what are you trying to sell/buy now?
  20. It's a true picture captured by my mate in oz... Retard may not be a popular word in sri lanka but its frequently used down under.
  21. Meanwhile in Australia...
  22. Never saw that one... I did get the "Gear not available" warning though!
  23. Yes, there is also a risk of the sky falling on our heads after you place the order. So its better to put all the money you have in a gunny bag and sleep on top of it.
  24. That picture is probably from a manual diesel car (notice the glowplug?) anyway I think VVti's response seems to be the most probable one, so you should change the gear oil first.
