  1. Try a Lancer CS2 (1500cc) good performance and fuel. I have been using one for last 1.5 years. And I am in love with the car. Very comfortable ride and good driving pleasure. You can find a 2002 brand new one for that price. Happy hunting....

  5. Nothing other than the channel getting reset to 87.7 FM once in a while. I use 88.1 in colmbo since 87.7 is generally distrupting with in the city limit. I haven't experinaced the battery drain yet.

Mine was a 1989 model, i think that was one of the last set of EP 71s which was produced. the production stopped in 1989 i think (correct me if I am wrong). It was in very good condition when I bought it. I think I was lucky to find one that good. My mechanic used some kind of a magic spray (I dnt know wat it is called) on my carb and did a small tune up and it worked wonders for me. (May be I was lucky)

It was doing between 12-13 kmpl with in the city limit with AC. But u can get more if you are willing to sacrifice a bit of power and adjust the carb.

I used to have an EP 76 (the 2 door version of EP 71) as my 1st car. I still regard that as one of the best cars i have driven in Sri Lanka. It was a very honost car with good driving position, good pulling power and pretty good handing on the bends. I am thinking of finding it and buying it back if it s possible.
  9. Car(Make/Model/Year) : Mitsubishi/Lancer/2001 Transmission : Manual Tank Capacity : 50 L Range (City/Out Station) : 580 - 600 (with about 5-7 litres left in the tank) / 700+ (with about 5 litres left in the tank)
  10. I saw one for sale oppersite Keells super Kohuwala (120 bus route) in a car sale and another one when u go pass Kohuwala towards Pepiliyana about 200 m from Kohuwala junction Happy hunting
  11. I had a 1989 18-xxxx Ep 76 (Model number for the 2 door) for one year ago. I sold it for Rs. 625,000 but it was in very very good condition. The market price would be ranging from 550,000-650,000 I love that small car and it s pulling power. Has a nice low driving position. It did abt 12.5 km/l in city limit and did 15-17 km/l outstation. original parts are still available with the toyota agent. I replaced EP91 shocks for car and it was compatible. I would recomend you to check the car in detail before buys it. If you can find a properly maintaind car which is in good quality, it is a lovely car to have.
  12. Why dont you give a thought abot Mitsubishi Lancer CS1 CS2 or CS3 (2001-2003) I use a CS2 EFI whoch does abt 12 - 12.5 km/l in city limit and does 16 km/l easily on long distance. You can buy one for around 14k - 15.5k secondhand In my openion it is very good value for money.
  13. Use http://thepiratebay.org/ This is very relieable site too. I find piretebay more reliable that mininova at times. specially on dvdrip movies and books Very sad of what had happened to mininova. Cheers

  18. Hi guys, Does any one know about New Mazda Familia's fuel consumption in both 1300cc and 1500cc? and fuel efficiencies of Lancer CS1 both carb and EFI engines (both 1300 and 1500)? Cheers Harry(aq)
  19. Thanks mate. But I heard only Cedia came with the GDI engine and because of that it doesnt do good fuel in SL. But CS1 Lancers came with either Carb or EFI engines. Do you knw anything about it? Cheers Harry(aq)
  20. Thank you ELNINO. If you knw how does the fuel efficiency changes with the EFI and Carb models? Thank you very much again.
  21. Hi, I am looking to buy a manual sedan for my personal use. I am thinking of buying a Lancer CS1. Can someone educate me on the following details? Is it a Low maintenance car? Is the maintenance cost high? Hw is the availability of spare parts? Hw is the ride comfort and driving experience of CS1? Hw much does it do on fuel? What are my other options for a manual car for around Rs. 1.5Mil? Thanks
