This topic is getting sooo boring now. If you are in the heart of the city may be you can't get that much. But if you just passing only one or 2 traffic lights EK3-Vi should be able to do 12Kmpl easyly. My one doing about 13Kmpl - 14Kmpl regularly with A/C. My last Kaluthara trip long trip with 4 passengers did 17.5 Kmpl (maintained 40kmph - 60Kmph and average RPM around 1600 - 1800. Couldn't do any stunts because of the dad on board)

I really loved to see how our layland and tata bus drivers adhear to this rule Weekend I travelled Kaluthara, all the bike riders used to overtake in Kandy road from the left side. Some times when I travel around 60Kmph these idiots still overtake from left side.

I am not sure about vehicle loans in perticular. But If you are taking a personal loan, most of the banks does not need any thing, but 3 months salary slips, a letter from the employer. But no idea how it works, when it comes to self employeed people and small businesses.

Hi Guys, need some help with bushes in the suspension system for EK3. I am gonna change bushes. Except for uper arm, lower arm bushes, is there any other bush that I want to change? for example where shock absorber mounts to the body of the vehicle, etc.

I've heard that Montero sport is the least comfortable SUV compare to X-trail, RAV4, Sportage,HR-V,etc.

Guys, My cousins car had an accident last night, a wheel from a van has separated and hit his left side buffer. So need to replace it. Also due to impact, power steering hose or something damaged oil leaked. Any idea where we can find parts in Kandy. Model: Mazda Axela. We decided not to go for agent for the repair due, bad reputation they have recently and, he is in Kandy no way to inspect the work.

check the new sensor price from agents or outside. If there is a significant difference between prices, I don't see any issue in going with used part, specially if they are offering a guarantee for 3 months.

how about switching on the right signal light when encountering an oncoming vehicle, specially in out of Colombo roads and switching on the right signal to indicate the driver in behind not to overtake. Are they accepted signals? Still not needed in my opinion. What will the message vehicle behind you get. That you are going to turn right, isn't it? The driver behind deside to overtake you even in on coming traffic best is to slow down and let him have enough space to get back to the lane. Alternatively if you are really P***sed off allow him to come to the right side lane and then accelerate. But if we do so we all will fall in to the morons category we mentioned here

Total thing took more than 3hrs, because removed TB, cleaned, fixed test run, removed again change the TPS test run, removed ECU, tested with another ECU, fixed the orginal ECU again, test run, scan done couple of times. Didn't cost me a single cent. But I used to go there for every thing.

I am generally not going in to Indian cars still. I saw 2 or 3 parked in Katugastota showroom sometime back, looks good from out side. Don't feel headlights are over sized, but the the poped up signal lights together with headligh makes it little out of shape to me. I think unregistered toyota vitz goes around 2.3M these days. I would compare the features to car like Vitz and deside. If this does not offer, air bags, abs, and other gadgets inside I would not go for A-star but still prefer recon jap in similar class.

If I were you, i'll change it again with cheap oil, run about 2,3 weeks. Change it again with good quality oil. And may be brig next oil change about 5000km forward without waiting till end date.

It replaced with a used TPS. Actually they din't charge me any thing for that, not even 3,4hrs labour cost for removing throtle body. Place is the Honda garage at Peradeniya. Next to sunlanka.

These days EK3 is moving little faster than it was about 1,2 years back. When car is in good shape and condition its not very hard to sell. So that is why its difficult to find find cars at your price. Not that price increased dramatically, but hard to find unsold ones. There are few in A/L too, but Vi model is just a little over 1.5M mark. Keep looking, you should be able to find good good Exi model around 1.3 range.

This is also discussed so many times in the forum. Please search. However, is this brand new vehicle and did you got new oil with purchase? Or do you have records when last oil change done? If no records available just start with oil change and continue it with proper intervals. If you just drive without knowing this, it'll be too late when the gearbox damaged.

Why he said you don't wanna change oil. Normally every auto transmission oil needs to change at given interval, and its a must. Or am I missing some thing here? did you just bought a new car or some thing?

Thought to keep you guys posted on what happened. After issue sorted automatically I took the car to garage and tested. After checking the previous records and milage, the guy suggested not to do tune up since specific issue with TPS. Asked me to monitor status for few more days and see. About 2 weeks back issue came again, but no CEL, just sudden loss or power/rpm. This time changed only the TPS. And issue seems to be rectified. What I learnt is, when when TPS does not give the correct voltage, the ECU reduce the petrol thinking the trottle is in idle position, resulting loss of power at high RPM.
