    Grease Gun

What my friend Ripper said is true. I think the Japanese one is better because It has a rubber cover that can hold it tightly and also some other features over the other products. Its better in quality wise also.
  3. Hi Friends, What is the charging Voltage and Current (V and Amp) for a vehicle which has 24V electrical system (Mitsubishi 4DR5 Jeep)? One battery is a 12V 90Amp one and the other is a 12V 70Amp one. Electrician said it has to come between 26-28V and 15Amp when the engine is running. Also Can we measure this using a digital multimeter? If so what is the best way to check? Please add a reply if you know anything. Thanks a lot in advance. (I Found This for checking the electrical leak. Hope it would help.) Regards, Nishan

    Grease Gun

Thanks a lot for those who had given the advises and the personal experience on using a grease gun. I visited panchikawaththa and found grease guns made in China, Japan and German. The price is bit lower in Chinese ones and Japanese one was around 2200 and German one was 3750. However the German one has both the rubber horse and a the usual metal one where Japanese one haven't had the rubber horse. It has to buy separately which then the price of a Japanese one would be around 3000. However these prices were in AC P**ls.

    Grease Gun

Hi friends, Isn't it good to have a grease gun instead of greasing the nipples of the jeep in each & every service because it may be cost effective and also be able to grease them as and when needed. So I am not having much knowledge to decide whether I buy one. Please advice me. I am having a 4DR5 J44. Thanks a lot in advance. Regards, Nishan
  7. http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz Hope this could help to design the circuit. Thanks.
  8. Hope your vehicle is 24V one. From where did you buy those?
  9. Thanks a lot for the info to replace the thermo-electrical signal flasher. So It can buy from the local market I think..? I also search on Ebay for 24V LEDs.
  10. Hi, I am thinking to change the standard bulbs to LED ones for the signal and parking lights in the 4DR5 J44 Jeep that has 24V power supply. So.., If anyone has done it before or has some experience on this please advice. Thanks in advance. Regards, Nishan
  11. Hi, First of all I apologize if this question make no sense. I was wondering to know whether we can have a 24V single battery (140AMP or Higher) for the 4DR5 J44 Jeep that has 2(two) 12V - 70AMP batteries normally. But I am not so sure whether any 24V batteries are available in the market that can power that much but if its so can we use a single battery instead of two? And second of all I am searching Single 12V Car Battery Charger that may not cost a lot but found on the web that there are several types of chargers and the best ones support 3 stages of charging automatically. So I don't know this is available on regular Single Battery Chargers and if so How can I find that what is the best one that do not destroy the batteries while they are being charged? At last Is it Ok to have a 12V 70Amp battery and 12V 90Amp battery together in a 4DR5 J44 Jeep? Will it create problems? Thanks a lot in advance and please reply if you know anything. Thanks again.
  12. Thanks dincha for the information. So you used a patrol version of it don't you? How about diesel ones? Any idea?
  13. Hello friends, I have been searching a car that would be the most economical in city limit as well as long distance which might be diesel powered. As few said, Daihatsu Charade would be the better one & also said that it does 20-24Km/L. It was a diesel one. I found in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daihatsu_Charade that it has 2 versions as G30 (passenger car) and G30V (commercial car) and its got 993CC engine. I still don't know this is the best one and therefore If you have any info regarding that or any other related vehicle please add a reply. Thanks in advance.
  14. Hi Janith.. The brake lines are warn as you said. I actually have not noticed this and will check again. I think as you said if those are unequally warn the brake would be unbalanced. The booster have replaced some time back before I buy her. Thanks.

  16. Hi Watchmen, This is interesting. All 4 lines are drawn individually from the master is a very good solution. In my jeep there is no oil leaks but as an option I was thinking to have little bit better effectiveness on brakes. I think you have replaced not only the servo but also the master cylinder as well and can you suggest me a good one that can drawn lines individually as you did. And what is the servo you have given? Thanks a lot.
  17. Hi Don, Thanks for the reply. The brake is not enough for sudden stop and also having some issues with adjusting them with the wheels which is sometimes little hard because the each has its own limit of adjusting. However I just though that it would be more controllable and also secured to use that kind of cylinder that can serve each wheel separately. Anyway if this is a stupid idea let me know it as well Upgrading to disc brakes will cost more than doing the above work I guess and I have no idea about upgrading to bigger master cylinder and I think it also a good option. So what would be the best thing to do to get more control when braking. Thanks again.
  18. Have no idea about Toyota parts but VIC is good for diesel. But good to be careful. The agent of the VIC who I buy my filters showed me a letter and Its said that VIC also has duplicates but they (some sellers) sell it for the original prices. Carefully check it before buying if you buy it from a shop where not normally buy or know the person.
  19. Hi friends, According to my knowledge originally 4DR5 Jeeps come with a single master cylinder with a relevant brake servo and from the the cylinder the oil goes to all the 4 wheels. I was thinking about replacing the unit with a pump that has 4 master cylinders which can serve each wheel separately. I just thought that It would make the system independent in each and every wheel and also powerful. So if you have any idea about it or have done it before please add a reply. I think the Brake Servo also has to be replaced then. Please add a reply if you have any information about this? Thanks a lot in advance.
  20. Hello everyone..., I have seen some vehicles including mostly land rovers and jeeps and also a buddy van (mini van) with number plates that are all red in color and they start with wp G11 or M11 like that.. (for example wp G11 - 4589). A friend of mine said that there is a place close to wattala where they assemble the vehicle we want for cheaper price and those they register under that color and numbering system for lower price. But I don't know that for sure. So if anyone knows it for sure please add a reply. Thanks in advance. Regards, Nishan
  21. Hi Stig, Still I couldn't bring the vehicle to see an electrician & will post what was the reason once I get it fixed. Thanks Stig.
  22. This can be so true. Its always good to ask a quotation before handover the vehicle. Thanks for the info.
  23. Thanks Don.
  24. The battery is not older than 15 months. Thanks for the link and I think I have to go through it with a multimeter and all. Thanks again.
  25. To stig and Kelum, Thanks a lot for your advices and I did it which I take the radio out from so that it does not touch any metal or body in anyway. But still the problem exists and the only way to disconnect the current is to disconnect the positive wire (which comes from one battery at the moment). Still I can't imagine what is happening. Thanks.
