Hard to find in that way bcoz warning light is always ON. Any tip to guess culprit door? Due to this, security system wars even after locked by key. (bcoz it thinks that 1 or more doors still open)

Mates, Why does "Open doors indicator" keep "ON" even after the all doors are closed. Happened this recently after few unplug-re-plug operations inside the car interiors, doors etc.

1. Check the oil level & color. Bit black color oil is normal for diesel engine. 2. Check for oil leaks. 3. Listen to the engine noise. Normal that Diesel engines bit noisy than petrol. But listen for any sounds like "kata-kata" which tends to come out from repaired engines. 4. Check the exhaust smoke. No blue smoke. Note that diesel engine may have slight black smoke in cold starts.

I doubt sounds comes from any "bearings". If it's, just a matter of changing the faulty one.

Are these OK to have?

Initially Insight came with 1.3 L engine but now also available in 1.5 L Don't try to compare 1.3 L Insight with a 1.8 L Prius. No point of such comparison. Prius too available in 1.5 L engine.

Mates, What's the best looking/ eye catching sedan in SL in price range 1 M to 1.8 M

2 reasons I see, 1. Those engine categories are very sensitive to Octane percentage 2. Can we find pure 90 (or even 95) petrol in country like Sri Lanka? ;-)

Do you use Octane 90 or 95? 95 might give less econ.

If O2 sensors like those connected to catalytic converter goes bad, there will be dashboard indication. If u unplug the connectors, indicator lights will go away, so that u can confirm...

So u mean any metal dust cap or what? The thread was metal right? So plastic caps are the best or what?

Maintaining proper battery water level & keep car driving without keep without running will save ur battery. My idea is if your vehicle's alternator is working properly, there's no need for charging the battery by other devices.

hasheeb, k9master Ya. white smoke due to engine burns coolant. Mechanic has done mistake. I wonder how timing chain got damaged :-O Check to see that ur coolant level too might be low now. Probably bad gasket re installation or damaged. Oil is not "Mobile" but "Mobil" & this is perfectly ok unless u put "Mobil 1000", instead of "Mobil 1" which is fully synthetic & might not best for bit old engine. (Also U have "Presea" not "Presia") Anyway, don't drive car in this condition which will make things even worst. Please show to good Engine Mechanic.

I doubt the IACV has to be cleaned. (Idle Air Control Valve) Get it done. I possible. do injector & throttle body cleaning too.
