Same person means the policy holder? I have driven my wife's vehicle and met with accidents twice (not my fault) but never had an issue claiming. So you just let them get away with all the evidence?
-
And the reason given by them for not paying a cent?

Check your policy's terms and conditions to check whether it is legal or not. Most of us are not aware of the policy terms which allow ICs to get away with most things. In any case most of them will never pay you the full amount.

Can you be more specific about what happened? I sometimes go to this place and monitor the meter all the time but haven't noticed anything fishy.

I think HR-V is also a mini SUV

I found following steps in a website, http://newtome.wordpress.com/2009/01/10/how-to-jump-start-a-car-without-cables-even-if-it-is-automatic/ 1) You will need to roll the car, so find a place and the right bodies to get the car in motion to about 5 miles per hour. 2) Release the hand-brake and foot-brake, and put the car in second gear. 3) Once the car gets up to about 5 miles per hour, try starting the car by turning the ignition. 4) If that doesn’t work, keep the car in second gear and push down the gas as you turn the ignition. Has anyone tried this and was it successful?

Metropolixxn computers undertake Acer repairs. My problem was similar to yours and initially they recommended replacing whole motherboard as there is no separate power unit in my model which costs some 50000/= (laptop only costs me 80000). However they were able to repair the board for 20000. -

And if you are buying laptops/PCs from outside Sri Lanka, please be aware whether they are providing the international warranty in Sri Lanka. I have a bad experience with Acer. Although they have an agent (Mertopxxxxxn) here, they do not provide International warranty. For any warranty claims, I need to send it to India or Singapore and I will have to bare all the costs and risks associated with freight. -
Check the video and you will love one of them

Most of the numbers at Honda changed recently. I don't know whether these numbers are still valid. The new workshop number is 011-7607410

Had a 1992 1.3 Ford Laser which I used for 5 years and sold at end of last year for 600,000. Worked around 9 km/L in City and 14 km/L in out stations. Quite comfortable easy to drive and easy to maintain. Was bit difficult to find some spare parts since mine was bit old.

My friend I didn't get your point. If I have developed the syndrome I would have done it through agent which I did not.

If you have searched previous threads you could have easily found lot of advice on descent cars for 1.6m rather than the crap you have mentioned. I would go for a brand new Alto (a second hand one if urgent) on any day for 1.6m rather than cefiro or rio.

If you are going to maintain through agent then definitely it will be costly. Recently I had to repair my Civic's A/C and agent said that they need to change the coil. The coil it self costs 40,000. So I got it done by a repair center near Nugegoda and after changing coil (17,000) and some other parts, it cost me around 30,000. So you can imagine how much it would have cost me if I got it done through the Agent.

If you are thinking of buying any of those, there are much better options.

Appreciate your views regarding roadside assistance given by SLI and Janash***hi. I have a SLI cover and I am not really sure whether they provide roadside assistance although they mention so. Has any one used SLI Roadside assistance or Janash***hi's new scheme? Which one is better? Is it worth going for Janash***hi roadside assistance only while keeping SLI cover.

Need Advice – What To Buy Between 2.2M – 2.4M
ransam replied to Charitha Jayasinghe's topic in General Automotive
Hard to predict just after the tax increase. Since now a unreg Vitz will hit 3M common man will have no option but to go for a used one whether it is 2.3 or 2.5. It depend on how you budget badly need a car. -
I recently bought a Civic Exi (YOM 2002) from a car sale in Nugegoda. The person in the car sale seemed friendly and genuine and I got a mechanic to come down and check the car and he recommended it. The car was in good condition and the mileage was around 71000. So without checking further I bought the vehicle. Once i took it to agent for servicing they told that the millage has been reduced about 20000 from the actual millage according to their records. It was my mistake that I didn't check with the agent. But still I am happy with the vehicle cos it has been well maintained by previous owner. This car sale is S G Au** Li** in front of Amb* Sewan* Hotel in Pagoda road. So check everything if you are buying a vehicle from him

Vehicle Import Taxes Reduced To 25% What Will This Do To The Market?
ransam replied to chew's topic in General Automotive
Can u explain how the tax has increased. When the tax was reduced several months back, it took minimum two months for prices to decrease. How come u say that prices have shoot to the moon after budget which was presented two days earlier. Does government tax already imported cars? Grow up man.
