  1. Where's the car tuning place in Thalangama? Can someone PM me?
  2. Does the Primera P12 have issues with sensors & gaskets? Might be hearsay, just wanted to get it clarified.
  3. How about cars that say Mint Condition, used only for Drag Racing?
  4. Might be old news but apparently you can get the revenue license online now, though only for the western province. They send it to you via post & they said it takes about 2 weeks.
  5. I Think 'Amour All' has a product too. Might be worth checking out. Come to think of it, I may need to use it too

Haven't really seen much of them around as I think most of the cars that come here unless brand new, come without them (I maybe wrong). Maybe you can get one turned out?
  7. Aramex has some deal where you register with them & they give you an address & you can have the goods shipped there & they will bring it SL. They don't consolidate packages if you order more than 1 item or if they arrive as seperate packages to their warehouse, & also any duty will need to be paid at the time of delivery. Might be worth checking out because I believe the delivery charges are lesser than what it would normally be.
  8. Got the car checked at the Agents. Apparently the clip that locks the sensor onto the wheel hub was broken. They told me I was lucky that the sensor didn't end up getting ripped off by any of the rotating parts! Would have been a costly repair, as opposed to getting the clip that costs 700 bucks each!! Had to order it though since it's not something that goes that easy. Did a temp job for the next 2 weeks.
  9. Apparently Lorries need to have seat belts after the 1st of October as well.. Apparently due to the number of accidents . When did wearing seat belts prevent accidents?
  10. I suggest Forza, Gran Turismo, Need for Speed, Etc. You get super fuel efficiency & no running repairs, well not in the real world. And when you crash you can get it fixed in an instant with no hassle & you don't have to worry about a no claim bonus. I've also seen a few 3 Wheelers with Turbo Intercooler on it..
  11. Just tell us where the parties are at ...lol
  12. I think if you go to any of the shops you will be able to find them. Or you could call the company direct I guess http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_LK/Products3/Dir/
  13. Ya, someone else told me to check all the lights too. The are all working fine. I think it might be something wrong somewhere else. It seems to go off after sometime when the car is stopped & then come back on after I drive for a few km's & press the brake a few times Guess I would need to get someone to check it out.
  14. Happy birthday, nice pics btw on Flickr

  15. Thanks for the replies guys.. I got the wheels aligned on Saturday. The light came on after driving for about 20km this morning. I stopped & started again & it wasn't indicating but then came on again after about another 5km.
  16. Hi Guys, I have noticed that from this morning my ABS indicator started to come on. Any ideas? I would only be able to take it in on a weekend to have it checked. Would it be a problem driving around like that? The brakes seem to be working fine. The car is a Nissan K12 Thanks
  17. Hi, I have been using a 2002 AK12 for about 4 months now. And I love the car, quite spacious in comparison to most hatchbacks around. And I feel it is more comfortable than a Passo & more leg space as well. For a 1240cc engine, its got pretty decent acceleration & it is very nimble. I usually run weekdays up & down towards Katunayake & weekends in Colombo. I get a average of around 12-12.5kmpl. Most I got was going to Trinco about 16kmpl. I also used a K11, & this is way better. If you are going to buy a registered car, make sure you get it inspected by A*W or someone known. I was lucky getting my car as it was used in Kandy & was a direct import from Japan so it has hardly been run. So far I haven't had to replace anything yet (touch wood) apart from the usual service. Except I did change my filter to a K&N & I am running HID's.
  18. Where can I get the H4 LED's? And also the Phillips HID's?
  19. They should also put a stop by either imposing fines or suspending of license on people who take children, including babies in the front seats. Also 5 people on motorbikes. I know that these people may find it hard to make ends meet & cannot afford a car, but seriously they need some common sense whacked into them. Weaving in & out of traffic while the kids legs hit into every other car.... Morons.
  20. Don't go to R@f eng@ne@rs, they will fleece you & do a bad job too. Messed my old car up. I can send you a number of a guy who I go to but he is Kollupitiya. Let me know, I can PM you.
  21. Its right after the IOC Shed on Havelock Road opposite the Kovil/Spinning & Weaving Mills. Its a very very small place, its sort of right near the roundabout & he does about 3 cars for a day. Getting a appointment is quite hard. But his work is excellent & he's a very genuine guy. Very underrated because most people tend to go for the name rather than the workmanship.
  22. lot of people look for sun roof as an option but never actually make use of it, they just have it for show
  23. The assumption is that you are calculating based on pumping full tank?? And what have the driving conditions been? Long hauls, traffic, etc etc? A couple of guys in my office have the car and they say it does about 14-15km/L even though they are about 3 years old. That's the manual though. They say the 1000cc Auto doesnt do as much, around 9-10km/L. Apparently the company says it does 12km/L. The engines even though they are pre-run may sometimes take a bit of time to 'break in'. So maybe you should give it a few more weeks before coming to a final conclusion.
  24. Band limiter is in the receiver/tuner so that would make it on your HU & not in the antenna Speakers can be changed & do not have to be the same as the HU. Though it is advisable to get the same range of speakers for the entire vehicle (Fronts & Rear), for proper tone balance.

Nice car, but don't most of them have a problem with the dashboard cracking?
