  1. I had a TZR 125 (Black Delta Box) & the 250 3MA (Commonly known as the Front Carb), both were really good bikes & very good pocket rockets. Never had any problems with them except the 3MA had been lying around for sometime when I bought it & water had got into the Carb. Replaced the unit through the agents. And everything else worked like a charm. Didn't the logic in most people trying to compare them to the "Indian" crap that congest the streets. But then again they do the same thing when it comes to the 4 wheel versions too. One thing to look out for is that the 2 stroke oil pump is working. Some people tend not to fix this & land the oil direct to the tank (3 wheeler style). And if you do get the bike try to use a good 2 stroke oil like Castrol, etc. It smells really nice too...lol.

    Electric Air Pump

Hi, I would like to know from where you got the pump from Sifaan.
  4. Hi Sylvi, How about the newer Beetle? Are they reliable, any idea on maintenance, etc etc. I have been told that the agents aren't the best. I love the idea of a manual 2ltr, but driving in traffic can be a pain. Haven't seen that many Automatics around for sale.

The Hitad job section or the employment times got plenty of it. Check them out

  6. Good pics on Flickr bro..

  7. 20k? Some of the old cars might not be worth that much
  8. You should try to get the same range/models of speakers to get tonal matching.
  9. You are looking at either a Bose system or a Yamaha 5.1 system with satellite speakers & sub. The latter might be a better option as you can always change the speakers later on while keeping the amp. And it is a AV Receiver so you would get more bang for your buck. Yamaha don't make the best speakers, but they are decent enough to get the job done. Their amps on the other hand are really good. Stay away from HiFi systems like the plague. Getting a system that is purpose built is far better. Ahhh how I miss my system
  10. That might be a good thing since most of them have ugly rear ends anyway
  11. Your justification on how vehicles are to be deemed roadworthy are amazing. What they should do is ban vehicles that are driven by people who think that going over 30kmph will cause their car to explode while holding the rest of civilization up.
  12. Ya you can do it, check on the RMV website. I think they increased the fee from Rs.7500 to 75k??
  13. Has anyone seen people being stopped/fined for not belting up? There were loads of cops in Colombo yesterday, not sure if they were there for traffic violators or the election after parties.
  14. I see a lot of cops along the way to Colombo from Katunayake, yet to see anyone being stopped for not belting up. They must be making use of the 'Grace Period'. Are they given spot fines or do people need to go to courts? I am hoping the latter, then hopefully it would get through their thick skulls. But if doesn't then less morons on the road after their license is revoked
  15. Or for an oil change... Of sorts
  16. With this whole seat-belt 'rule' coming in, I think they forgot about allowing children/babies in the front seat. They should impose very serious fines for people who take children in the front passenger seat. Unless the authorities & mostly the parents think that they are dispensable, & the parents can always make another?
  17. You can look at a Cefiro you can get between 6-9km/l. Good cars, if you get the right one but you might need to stretch your budget by about a couple of 100k. A few of my friends use them & have had no complaints so far for about 3 years. I've seen a couple of them for sale on AL & they look in quite good condition judging by the pics. And some state that they are maintained by the Agents, which at the end of the day would mean that there is a good service record.
  18. Toyota Mark II Grande? There is a nice one for sale on AL. Way beyond what I was expecting to pay though
  19. Not sure if this was posted before... Nice rides nevertheless
  20. People also think just cause they have the turn signal on that they can cut across immediately... what idiots.
  21. I meant to say Marine Ready, already posted that too Ya, Polk's are very uncommon here & most people don't know what they are too, even the people who specialize in them... States would be the best place to get them as they are also cheaper. I got a pretty good deal on my 6x9's & 6's. Had them for about 3 years initially in my previous car. I made sure that I told the chap buying it, that he wasn't getting the speakers
  22. Sorry meant to say 'Marine Ready'
  23. If you can try getting Polk Audio, amazing sound clarity & very low distortion at high volume. They also handle the elements very well i.e Sun as they are made for use on yachts/boats as well.
