Hi All, I need your support to sort out following issue, My car is EK3 2000 model with auto transmission. I noticed that after driving about 30 min, lets say i want to accelerate further and when i press the pedal as usual RPM stays still ( not increase ) if i press further RPM goes up suddenly and car accelerates. This happens when RPM is within 1000-2000 as i remember. This happen most of the time but not always. Guys, can it be transmission issue? Thanks

Earlier I also thought like you and used this coolant without mixing water (although they recommended 50:50 proportions). Ultimately during Kandy Colombo run car got heated . I removed some amount of coolant and put water to radiator. Then okay.

I also experienced this after changing coolent. That was because I didn't care about the label of coolent bottle which stated the directions to use it. It recommended to used the coolant to water propotion of 50:50. but i used it without water. Better to check this.

Hi all, This weekend I'm planning to do a DIY project on making custom eyelids for my car. now I'm facing a problem that buying a fiberglass materials ( Fiberglass clothe, Resin and hardener). I thought I can buy those from hardware nearby. But I searched several hardware shops for those items. they haven't got. Please tell me a place to buy fiberglass materials. Thanks

First, check your headlights are dirty. Shine become dull with the time. if so clean the headlights first.

I think Colombo-Maligawatte office for all the renewals of Western province, because last time I went to renew revenue license which is under Central province and they refused it.

If you are going to do the service with Stafford they know the correct engine oil for it. it is not a big deal. why are you worry lot about that ? As I know 5W-20 is the recommended oil for better fuel efficiency. You can also use 10W-40. then efficiency is bit less ( negligible). have you got owners manual?

how do you really know that its a waste of money. your suggestion is to " Replace it with japan used auto gearbox", Again it is a used one. We don't know what kind of problems with it. There is a risk in replacing it with used auto gearbox.

Thanks, I checked the rack-ends. seems OK Thx. I replaced the driver side CV boot which is called inboard boot located near the Transmission. Thx,I checked the CVJ. there was no any sound as you mentioned. Thx, I will check it this weekend.

Dear All, I want your help to sort out issue with my ek3 2000 auto. About 3 months ago, when I inspect a car I saw, driver side CV boot damaged and grease had come out. Then I replaced the driver side CV boot from reputed mechanic. After about one or two weeks I felt there was a small vibration while taking a left bend (turning in to the left). Steering wheel can feel it much better. I interchanged tires, front tires to rear. I did a wheel alignment. But it is still there. It is noticeable while going up a hill and taking left bend with accelerator pressed. No any vibration when going straight and turning to right. It is also noticeable when taking a left turn with high RPM (let’s say above 3000). It only comes when turning to left. Very much noticeable with the high RPM. Thank you in advance.
