  1. I was trying to stay at the corner near that watch shop in front of Swarnamahal but they didn't let me so went to the other side of the bend. And yes, if you were in front of the Airtel office, that really was dangerous as many cars nearly crashed into that place, there weren't even any railings!
  2. Thanks for the pics! I couldn't take anything decent as I only took my mobile, but did take some vids from it so will attach later. Can't imagine how you stayed in the Kotugodalla Veediya. Anyway, nice races, great cars and good fun
  3. It only took 4 hours after your statement
  4. Anyone know how to contact DD or Darin or Ashan or anyone in the field directly, now? Quick help needed for a friend. Or if anyone knows Reyaz's Malaysia number, pls send a PM
  5. Thanks for the vids! Wasn't there yesterday, just qualifications right? So what are the results?
  6. Dude I've been in the 240 and 260 both, they aren't as comfortable as we expect them to be The car with the most comfortable seats and suspension I've been here was a Nissan Cedric, like sitting on a sofa in a cruise boat
  7. Ok. But IMO it's not worth the trouble for a common car like this, and the money spent probably won't be recovered.
  8. WHy don't you just sell it and buy a 2WD car?
  9. To end the confusion, lets say we all got it

Yes that's how it seems so, to stop the fluid from boiling especially as the N/SCP platform has quite a small radiator + ATF cooler, just releasing the hand brake if we forget it and beeps to warn us of it. Not sure if it's there in CVT JDM cars
  11. Ok, thought you might have meant the diameter instead of the width, but still don't get it how you managed to squeeze on tires with 14'' inner diameter on 15'' rims. Got a set of used 185x65R15 and they're quite tough, and clearly saw putting new ones on even 15'' rims wasn't an easy job! And 65 isn't really low profile, below 45 is
  12. I don't really see any solar panel on it though, haven't even seen that in the options list of Toyota Japan. Seems like an idiot brought down G Selection car, that'd have much higher cost and tax but doubt it'd be sold anywhere close to that price when S/G are going for 3-3.5M. If the trim I guess is correct, it should have radar guided cruise control etc., though don't know how useful for SL

Yes it does, but only if you press the brake pedal and take from P to D and press the accelerator, it just beeps and moves normally as if there wasn't any handbrake at all. But it works properly as a normal rear handbrake if parked on a hill even while idling in D, as far as I'm aware of. Haven't tried in R and we never use L, 2 or 3. And this is a brand new car for the permit, was the same way since we got it. Manual version is acting in the normal way though, either the engine stalls if low rpm or front wheels spin if revved high when releasing the clutch while handbrake is engaged.
  14. So you're going to buy the material from Col and get it done in Kandy? The covers I'd mentioned had come as a special offer for uni staff so had been comparatively cheap, and of good quality, not fabric either.
  15. OMFG Thanks a bunch Peri! It was quite a boring day Dude you are quite a great photographer, feel you just make everything look better than in real life
  16. What exactly is the reason the engine got replaced and why with a Nissan?
  17. That's 355mm wide!! Even a ZR1 has only 300mm wide rims with 335mm tires on the rear, and that's got some of the fattest tires on a production car afaik. Even if you meant 14 inch diameter tires, how did you fit them on a 15 inch rim??
  18. Guess he wanted to make it like a LR Defender
  19. Entries closed on the 3rd it seems
  20. @KMG - Did you check the place near Eeriyagama, just after the Peradeniya town?

  22. Heard the same, but how exactly are we going to move into the city? Have to park on the outskirts and walk the rest? Me too got unverified info on YR yesterday. The Dalada Veediya has a good pavement as it was newly done up for the World Cup right? Btw, anyone know if the events are finalized and application deadline over or not? If not, please tell of how to apply as there is a friend of mine who wants to compete.

    Atf Oil Level

No don't do that cuz it'd overheat and then even boil the ATF as the torque converter would be spinning, nearly happened to an aunt of mine, who forgot about the handbrake. @jdnet - This was on a ~2001 Elantra though, the vehicle just tries to something like lift and move forward but not actually moving while rpms rise. Handbrake on and gear in D on the Yaris, it just moves as normal but there is a beeping noise. Any idea how this is possible? Thought the handbrake was cable actuated and the car couldn't just disengage it when it wants to?

    Atf Oil Level

Well the engine temp is connected more to engine oil temp, but anyway they all work together and even the GB gets heated up when used, and ATF level should rise when the fluid is hot. Someone else got to explain that, cuz I don't get how that's possible for the level to remain the same no matter whether the liquid is hot or cold, sorry.
