  1. Good video Peri, street racing or even slightly high speeds close to other cars in the streets of SL is quite dangerous, I've seen some people panic and actually let go of the steering wheel when some car whizzes by very closely at high speed. Just think if they ram into you Especially dangerous when it comes to bikes, they will get hurt in some way. Even a bike falling on a leg, the exhaust side especially, is quite unpleasant to say the least. Want to race, go with your friends to a track, it's not too expensive is it?
  2. Check http://specs.cars-directory.net/honda/civic_ferio/1995_114/ The last 10 are the best but they're EK4s so great if you can get hold of one If it's EK3 you want whatever the case might be, get a manual Vi-RS, that's the best out of the lot and it does come with a VTEC engine. But the price seems similar to an SiR these days and I've seen most with english plates, choice is yours. Good luck!
  3. Yup, it should be road legal as otherwise there's no point and there aren't any tracks around Kandy anyway. That's why I was looking at a Lancer station wagon, so yes as you suggest it's easier to just fix a body after modifying the chassis and fixing a new engine/GB Mike was also saying about a Rover V8s and that's quite tempting, and wouldn't be too much of a hassle like Jap engines right? Need to find if shipping and custom stuff is viable. Well Noah engines seem to come as a whole here, but a bit expensive in Kandy.
  4. Just to update you guys on this, I still couldn't find a proper chassis for us to start anything and those Lancer chassis were in bad shape, just kept out in the rain and all. There was another Isuzu single cab chassis near my house, same fate with that too and didn't feel it'd be good anyway
  5. Yes Isuzu lorries I've seen mostly in government stuff and been heavily abused yet going on still. Diesels supposedly live longer because of low revolutions etc? As for petrol cars, I brought up the question as some have told me, when I ask why they prefer Toyota's other than resale value and common perception etc., they say that most other petrol blocks are in a bad shape when around 300k km while Toyota blocks can take another 100k km or so. Was wondering whether it was just another myth or real.
  6. Maybe so, and I've noticed this especially in the Sunny. Primera P11s with the SR18DE had a lot of damping stuff under the hood but wasn't that extreme. The 1.0L engine or the 1.3L? We've a 2NZ-FE and it runs quite cool even in long distances 3 Cyl maybe different though, not sure
  7. Yup both those are diesel heavy duty engines, them being run like hell is more common I guess as I've seen even pics of odo's posted here with extreme mileage, so similar conditions is quite acceptable. But does it hold true for smaller petrol engines in cars? Do other manufacturers such as Nissan sacrifice durability slightly for power? Speaking of Nissan more as I've noticed their engines get much more hotter compared to other JDM imports
  8. You're welcome nexus and no, you've typed nothing wrong but interpretation could be in two different ways But IMO, it doesn't look really nice from a side... Reminds me of the dog example by JC for the Crossfire coupe
  9. Guys I've heard some people saying a Nissan/Mitsubishi engine would last around 300k km in good condition and Toyota block usually lasts around 100k km more, any base to that argument? I've not seen any Jap car with such mileage in SL anyway, maybe due to turning back odo's.
  10. That'd not end up too nice looking I meant performance oriented people even with smaller cars cuz it makes the tires damn hard, tires were like rocks. Gives better handling, should be good if you ever take the Tibby to a track
  11. Some people like hard, bumpy rides. Believe me it's sickening
  12. I was thinking more of a SR16VET N1 Would make 400-500hp with proper tuning, time and money. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Iwg01yhkk And I thought the SR20VET was a normal A/T off the X-Trail

    Corolla Axio

Well personal preferences differ and some people like to stick with crap And btw, I was speaking of pre tax prices but 4M+ should find a good 2007 IX or a GDB-G
  14. BLu3HaZe

    Corolla Axio

We wish we all can have Evolution Xs and WRX STis but our lovely tax system doesn't really permit that now, does it? The recon price of both seem to be around 4M, Axio money in SL...
  15. Mi and ML had same non-VTEC engine, but the ML came with manual and normal auto transmission while Mi came with manual and CVT transmission, right evergreen?
  16. Now that was quick Dev_Z Post up another?
  17. No the K11 March does have one of those with the 1.3 engine, if it's a CG13DE it's a timing chain and CGA3DE will have a timing belt if I'm not mistaken. And neither are for lifetime, unless you plan on throwing the car away like in developed countries
  18. Maybe he think it doesn't have anything because of the timing belt/chain cover!
  19. Well seems the Ignis has VVT and the Swift doesn't, many sources say so but the simplest - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_M_engine#M13A
  20. Ok Prius owners, go make your lunchboxes get more mileage with these mods
  21. Saw a red GK Tiburon, a silver GDC Impreza and a black C class Mercedes with someone like miniace in it! Did AL guys go out for a drive in Kandy or something??

  22. Is this what you're looking for Peri? It's quite white too... http://www.autolanka...ad.asp?ID=42032 This too seems "Gold Badge" to me http://www.autolanka...ad.asp?ID=42793 And a normal SE all within days http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=42944
  23. They couldn't have managed to have all that boot space without making it a liftback
