    Viva Elite Ac

Not on my Viva Elite but I have used Frostaire on 87' Corolla DX wagon and I was very happy with the service and I was their when they diagnosed. This was like 8 years and hope they still have the same good techs.
  2. Need a Tundra? LoL..
  3. Definitely Nissan 1.5L CVT is extreamly efficient with my experience. As for Civic 1.5T CVT with my experience it was little fun for a CVT trans when Traction control is off. I was able to get little wheel spin. However couple of time i felt something like a slip when i brake torque to get some faster acceleration. I don't know if the 'brake torque' is the correct term I was pressing brake pedal and gas at the same time to get higher revs before i let go. This is when I felt the slip on a new car. Again I don't know if its a slip on transmission or is it from brakes.
  4. Not sure about this one but as for Nissan 1.5L CVT they do rev higher but a dull feeling.
  5. Not very happy to see CVT Wonder why Toyota not using their 8 speed auto on this. Newer Honda's having their own 10 speed now right?
  6. Wonder how to verify if its genuine or fake. When I removed mine the glue strip seem to be thin too.
  7. I think the glue strip is for the foam piece on top thats missing. Here's a pic of my old denso filter..
  8. Meanwhile in the US..?‍♂️ Never knew built in water fountain is a feature..?
  9. Transmission replaced machan. Ford said they replace transmission for 7 years / (forgot the miles limit) at 0 out of pocket.
  10. That it true. This is my experience with my friends Ford. Utter disaster. (Screenshot from his mail when he got the issue.)
  11. 195/50R16 seem to be a factory size for Ford Fiesta.
  12. Just for the looks machan. Never seen a rough road. We better not hijack this 2021 Toyota Harrier thread to talk about previous generation Venza. LoL ?
  13. They are Continental Terrain Contact All Terrain 255/55/R19 XL load. Since its All Terrain a fraction noisier than stock tires and been Load rating XL with stiffer side walls over SL stock tires I could feel the bumps little more.
  14. I don't know if its the low profile tires make it more nimble in corners or design itself, its very easy to drive on curvy mountain roads. But in general I don't like larger wheels with low profile tires. I like smaller wheels and more rubber. I replaced 245/55/R19 stock with 255/55/R19 but still not much rubber.
  15. I was little surprise to see Harrier has smaller tires than the Venza. Older Venza come with 245/55/R19 or 245/50/R20.
  16. In my opinion its not a must but good to have. At least from what I have seen the front tires can easily loose traction on a incline with loose rocks. So even though rear locker push forward if one of front tire slips and rely on A-trac to detect wheel spin and brake you might not have good control as a locker. See if you also have front locker when one tire of front have least traction it wont spin so you have more control. So if i'm at an edge of a drop going on an incline with loose rock / gravel I feel safer to have a front + rear locker. I feel bit more pressure as a driver since I go with family or at least me and my kid. Then again this is also due to limited front wheel travel with Toyota IFS vehicles like newer LC200, Hilux, (4Runner & Tacoma in US market). Vehicles with solid axles have more wheel travel and have less wheel spin (Eg - older Land cruisers (80 series), Jeep wrangler, etc..) (Please feel free to correct me, I'm also still learning)
  17. You think I'm CEO of a big firm? ??
  18. I'm planning to get an after market front locker for mine. I'm looking at ARB locker. In order to get a front locker I would need an onboard air compressor to power the ARB air locker. So when I get that I have stock rear locker (locks left and right 1:1), Center lock (since it part time 4wd its fixed 1:1 locked front to back when shifted to 4 wheel), After market front locker (locks left and right 1:1). If you ask me why I don't like A-trac or Crawl control they are like "Let's try that" type of system. On trails they have almost put me in a bad situation at an edge of a drop.
  19. That is correct. When you press the rear diff lock switch on Tacoma & 4Runner its fixed split of 1:1 left to right.
  20. As far as I've heard Toyota is on the bad books when it comes to rust. I take extra care in cleaning under-body.
  21. As far as I understand (since I'm not a pro, just an amateur to wheeling).. In LC 200 the center diff lock option is there because it allows to work as a AWD system with different speeds front to back (H4F) on high traction surface vs Tacoma and 4Runner can unlock 4wd and use 2wd. Since Tacoma and 4Runner 4wd systems are part time 4wd in 4H they don't need a center diff lock it if 100% connected front to back. So LC 200 4wd high + center diff lock (H4L) is equal to Tacoma and 4Runner 4wd high. When LC 200 in low range (L4L) its center diff locked so same as Tacoma and 4Runner 4wd Low. In addition to traction system and brakes based A-trac and crawl control on LC200 the Tacoma and 4Runner got rear diff lock which really locks left and right wheels which allows them to crawl slowly over obstacles. In LC200 in order for A-trac to work you need to send power and allow wheel spin for the computer to work with the traction control system and brakes to send power to either side like the left foot braking we use in old 4wd vehicles. Crawl control works in a similar way, using brakes and the computer controls the throttle. The diff locks on Tacoma and 4Runner does not rely brakes it locks left and right axles from the diff. Again please correct me if I said anything wrong. This is only based on basic experience I have.
  22. When people don't understand the difference between the real Land cruiser vs mom's wagon.. Those 200 series doesn't even have a diff lockers right? I won't even go near the sand with those 200 series Land cruisers stock.
  23. I'm not sure if home visiting mechanics have the right tech to fix. If you are open to taking it to a mechanic place this is the most trusted place I have. With my experience they don't mess up things. If there is anything that they can't do they bring in an expert or take the part to an expert and get it fixed correctly. So far the most genuine people I've met. (No they are not my relatives to give a comment like this.) Mithila garage - 0112368636 129/3, Nawala Road, Narahenpita.
