  1. ignition coils are not a rare item. You should be able to find easily. I bought from Delkanda a few times. You might have to take a sample though.
  2. Mate, whatever said and done, a car is a piece of equipment. I know people get very attached to it - me included - but it's not worth losing your sleep over especially on something as easily avoidable as this. The law doesn't allows for cars to be sold on open papers. Be sensible here and seek some other options.
  3. A yellow CHR with some bodykit parked next to me at the Narahenpita Economic Centre. Looked straight out of a Transformers movie set. So many things were jutting out of it.
  4. Adey, Another Mitsu car! I'm stoked! Congrats on the new ride @Sampath Gunasekera. To state the very obvious, Clean AF. Let me contact some folks I know about the spoiler. Good decision on the sun visors. For the lack of OEM sun visors, I went ahead with some Panchi ones some time back - One of the worst decisions. I never felt alright until I actually removed them. Took bloody four hours to remove the gunk. (Didn't have one of those gunk removers handy.) I think it's high time that all the AL mitsu boys met. @trinity What say you since obviously the Lancer boys are a majority?
  5. Will defa do machan. Just the Awurudu season wreaking havoc on my free time.
  6. Hey @iRage these indeed are silver numbers. Used to have black ones. What's also interesting is my car is from 2003 thus, a facelift version. However my car originally had two-piece glass headlights which are relatively heavy while the older Super VR-4 headlights are single-piece, plastic ones, hence relatively very light. I would have thought that peeps would do the other way. As for numbers, it should be either 1600 or 800 Galants+Legnums. If that's the case, is it rare AF as I believe, just rare or there -goes-another-super? This version sadly didn't take part in the WRC. The previous generation VR-4s had AWD and All-Wheel Steering. I think some of those feature sets was carried over to this version of the VR-4 in the guise of AYC and a few other features.
  7. OK, so a minor update on the thread. Managed to find a set of Super VR4 headlights quite randomly. This dude says that only 250 of the Super VR4s were ever made. I dunno. What he says is unsubstantiated. But all I know is the Super VR4 is rare AF. So when I came across a pair of colour matched Super VR4 headlights - of all the places, at a random used parts place in Mount - I had to get my hands on them. I know, I know. My car is not colour matched to anything. But what the hell, had to do it anyway. Here's a mugshot with the new look. What this also means is that I can't go places unnoticed. The grill is colour matched to the rest of the body. At this angle, even I'm wondering where the hell is the grill on the thing.
  8. Well, you might be surprised at the rarity of the parts that some of these parts people carry. Managed to buy a pair of Super VR4 Headlights the other day from Taiyo. To put things in perspective, only about a 1000 Super VR4 were ever made. Hit me up if you want a contact there. I also managed to find an inner door handle for 1250. The last inner door handle I bought was from eBay Germany and paid around 5000 for that.
  9. Can affirm that about the GoodYears. Pretty solid tyres, albeit now I'm hearing a bit of road noise. But not as much as the GT Radials I had earlier. Those damned things drowned even the radio.
  10. I saw this. First time I'm seeing a Galant special edition. Honestly, this is one rare occasion I don't know what to say.
  11. I've no clue what the hell is going on with @PreseaLover. But as for some place to have an event, try Maniampathy. It's the sort of place that you wouldn't even know existed if you don't look hard enough. Nice ambience, private, secure and lots of parking. Once you close the gates, other folks wouldn't even know that a party is happening. You can have a decent sound setup. But a Tomorrowland sort of a setup is out. But all this comes at a hefty price mind you. If you sapiosexuals can afford it, why the hell not. BTW, this is the first time I'm hearing a guy using sapiosexuals in a sentence to describe their orientation. Almost all the males I know - me included - quite naturally just think with their dicks. Times have changed I guess.
  12. Can you please state your source? How do you know this? Is it assumption, heresay or experience? And please do enlighten me. Have you used and STI 5 and changed the diff oil in it?
  13. I admit. I think you're probably more ignorant than those who declare that they don't know. At least those people know that they don't know. People like you say that you know. Post something that you found somewhere on the Internet without fact-checking it. Then unsuspecting people like the OP go ahead and try to apply it. If you found what you found through a reliable source, all good. If not, people like the OP could be get in to trouble. <-- For this, I have experience. Hence why I insist that you share your sources. Now as for proving that you're not ignorant, "Have you used and STI 5 and changed the diff oil in it?"
  14. First of all, 'Does my source of knowladge give you any knowlage? all this because you have admitted to being so,.' Doesn't make sense. As for stating your sources, it probably would - for the OP, for me and anyone who happens upon this thread in the future.
  15. Is stupid your usual state of mind? This is how
  16. Answer my question first. "Have you used an STI 5 and changed the Diff oil in it?" If you haven't, please share your source so the OP can go ahead and research more.
  17. I don't know. Never used a Subaru. Maybe someone who actually used an STI 5 would come along and share their experience. Have you used an STI 5 and changed the Diff oil in it?
  18. OP and the rest of the folks, sorry about the OT here. It probably is good for the poster since novices like me ask him/her to exercise critical thinking without buying loads of BS that pseudo experts like you seem to spawn. I do have a problem when people give advice on a public forum like this without qualifying what they say.
  19. Mate, I'm no expert in diff oils since I honestly don't know. For the benefit of the OP, please state where you found out the information --> Translation - Where did you copy this from? If this comes from your experience, please state the actual model of the car that you had and other relevant information for the benefit of the OP. He bought the car recently and if he follows up on your advice and if you're wrong, he's looking at a world of pain. Be responsible. Apologies if my assumption about your advice is wrong.
  20. Either find a car with a similar engine and swap a coil to check or get your garage to do it for you. This is common sense I guess.
  21. Not to mention far more superior in terms of technology in the cars. Even the Mitsu cars from as late as year 2000 had things like independent suspension and in Galant's case, disk brakes all around. Even the new Toyotas despite being astronomically expensive in comparison don't have either.
  22. Hey, unless you have a valid source of the fact (that the fuel is dirty), don't bring up threads like this. Many folks unfortunately lack critical thinking abilities and this is how you get people to create rumours.
  23. @Twin Turbo Mate any reason why you'd revive a thread more than FIVE years old? Folks, this thread is from 2011. No need to get your knickers in a twist.
  24. That's one fine looking rim job (Pun intended!) there Davy!
