If I remember correctly, PreseaLover's car has GI plates.
  2. Well guess what! My father told me that the driver's side mirror stopped retracting and opening a couple of weeks ago. Seems to be a common issue on the Demio. He said that he got it repaired once from a place in Thalawathugoda, but it only worked for a couple of days. Will show him this thread. Thanks SamG for the response. Will contact you if I need more info.

    Guys, don't feed the troll.
  5. I'm pretty sure OP was referring to a shop where he could get a reverse camera installed without damaging the body and not the actual place on the car body.
  6. Dear deadpool, Please search the forum before opening new threads. Most of the things you have asked so far have already been discussed on the forum including reverse cameras and car navigation. Please search the forum as instructed here and use one of those threads to ask your questions. Redundant new threads make it impossible for new members like you to find information you're looking for. Cheers!

It totally WAS your day. You got back your money, the biker didn't crash into your car and you were only 15 minutes late. If it was not your day, you might have not noticed the bill in the first place, the biker would have crashed into your car and you would have had to attend to the accident and would have missed the client meeting altogether. Two ways of looking at it.
  8. Please search the forum (follow instructions given here). Your questions have already been answered many times.
  9. This raises the question "Why the vibration started only after the service?" Did they rotate the wheels during the service?
  10. Wheel alignment and balancing are two different things. Were all your wheels balanced as well?
  11. Good work! That doesn't look bad at all. The unpainted metal bracket is the door pull support and it's natural for it to develop surface rust. I sanded and painted all four when I had my CS3.
  12. Get the said wheel balanced before moving to further conclusions. High pressure washer might have caused a wheel weight to fall off, causing the wheel to lose it's balance. Did you check if the wheel has been tightened properly?
  13. No, it's not normal. 1. Inspect your tyres for abnormal wear and lumps. If worn abnormally, get a wheel alignment and balance done. Balancing is important. Consider rotating the wheels before the alignment. 2. Check if one or both of your front tyres have a puncture repair done on them. Having one can cause the wheel to lose it's balance. If this is the case, move the wheel to the back or balance the wheel. 3. Get a wheel balance done anyway because one or more of the weights might have fallen off that causes the wheel(s) to lose balance. 4. If none of the above solve your issue, it could be due to a font suspension/drivetrain/bearing problem.
  14. Oh I see. I don't remember seeing this version of the Accord much. That face is a dead giveaway for it being a 80s Honda.
  15. Looks like a third generation Honda Civic to me.
  16. The end of a legend
  17. Good illustration NRX. From the diagrams, it looks like the tube connected to the PCV connects to the intake manifold and not the air intake assembly. My guess is that the oil is coming through from the other tube (11826 + A on the above diagram). The air intake should have a metal mesh (sometimes sponge) to prevent oil from being sprayed into the air filter element - located on the inside of the air intake where the tube plugs in. If this filter is dislocated, oil can come into contact with the air filter.
  18. No worries. Only cars that can be found in Sri Lanka on Quick Trivia.
  19. Do we have this TVR in Sri Lanka?
  20. Sounds like an issue with the PCV lines. Let me explain: There should be one or more tubes running from your engine cover (valve cover) towards the intake manifold or air intake. This varies from engine to engine. Inspect your engine bay and locate a tube that runs from the valve cover towards the air intake assembly. I believe the Sunny engine has the PCV tube on the passenger side of the engine and it runs directly to the air filter with the PCV valve being mounted on the air intake line instead of the valve cover. It could be a fault with this valve as well. The valve should allow air flow from the engine towards the air filter at a controlled level. EDIT: Sorry I did not see Rumesh's response before typing mine. I was typing my reply while doing other stuff on my phone. EDIT 2: Quoting OP's question: Operation of the PCV valve:

  22. Spot on! Take the floor mate!
  23. Thanks tiv! Try this one guys.
  24. My first batch of parts arrived today. Nothing special, just a bunch of things currently missing/damaged on the car. The RalliArt comes with a set of floor mats unique to this model. Unfortunately, the driver's side floor mat has been replaced with something else. And the front passenger floor mat was not it it's best condition. So I decided to go for a new set. The driver's foot rest was missing in my car. Someone probably forgot to re-attach it after a repair and the owner never noticed. Got myself one (this one is used but looks brand new): An original reverse camera with harness. Just plug and play into the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System. And it should work fine. The housing of this one is black, I will have to get it painted in white. The position of the camera is actually the centre of the trunk lid. I'm not really sure if I want to drill the trunk lid to mount this, so I might dismantle the housing and install it near the number plate. I'm guessing it will affect the picture and cause objects to look like they are too close to the car when they are actually not. Will try it out and see first. Parking brake grip. The one on the car has cracks on the leather surface. I ordered the gear knob as well as it has similar wear. But the seller has forgotten to include it in the package. I'll have to contact the seller and work out a deal as I want some other parts from him. So might ask him to ship the gear knob with the new bits.
