I saw the Honda City advertised for 3.2m for Permit Holders. That would be better than all the options u've listed. It would be more spacious,Fun to drive (I-Vtec 118 bhp). What are your requirements?. Buy a vehicle which fulfill your requirements also make sure you testdrive them before choosing. Afterall it's your hard earned money and it's you whose gonna live with it

changing the Transmission to Trip tronic wouldn't help much. Try Turbocharging as suggested by Don. A Starlet GT turbo would fit in I guess .Change the Air filter to an Inbox High flow filter(K&N) which would increase the low end power.

You can find a 300- one for around 1.5m. Try to find an unmolested car bro.

Bro try to find an EK3 VTEC. It would be fun to drive,spacious and does about 10kmpl. I dont think honda's are difficult to maintain. Ample Spares are available in Panchikawatta and Delkanda and there are plenty of guys who does Honda Repairs other than the agents.

As fellow members suggest I too think you should gain more knowledge about basics and then head for modding. If not u'll endup with a car which is neither here nor there.Also you should start modding it with some extra cash in hand 'cause you never know what issues will arise once u take things apart (specially the paint job)

You might have to import a Performance Muffler or else buy a used one I guess. I dont think S.L silencer shops sell performance mufflers. WEPR Fabricates performance exhausts systems. Try contacting Sacha

The cost of the bodykit would depend on your requirement,the body parts want moded etc. A beat barell would cost between 5k-8k. The Price of the paint too depends on the type of the paint you are going to use something like Pearlescent paint job would be costly.cost of interior also depends on the material you are gonna use (Leather or fabric).For interior you can add a sports steering and Shift knob. Used bucket seat sets cost between 25k-45k. The cost of the sound system depends on the Head unit,Amplifier,speakers and the Subwoofer you are gonna use.I would advice you to stick to 15" alloys because U'll need to use very low profile tires if you use 16" or 17" which will in turn make the ride rough and uncomfortable. The best thing is to plan how you want your car to look like and then get estimates from the modification guys .

You could buy a Mazda RX7 or Autozam within that price range.Also you can buy a Honda Delsol I guess (not sure though)

Get a High flow stock replacement filter.Get new headers and polish the throttle body.This will improve the power a bit

How come it's more dangerous on Hybrids? Also is it about the delay in gearshift in A/T transmission you are talking about? That delay is very much less in CVT transmission. So how come they are more dangerous?

De-catting means removing the catalytic converter. The emissions increase yet there are a lot of de-catted cars that have passed the emission test

Bro, The gains from a straight through exhaust and a CAI can be achieved at high RPMs. So if this cars being used as a daily driver it's highly unlikely that it would be driven in that kind of RPM range. Also CAI will let in more dust to the Throttle body. So a Replacement high flow filter would be ideal . Also De-catting would result in better response as back pressure would be reduced. Just my 2 cents

Yah. Sometimes the intake growl makes u feel u have a big gain (Placebo effect ). Also you have forgotten to mention about the brakes. As for brakes performance brake pads, larger disks and braided steel brake hoses can be used as an upgrade.

Simple mods would be changing the air filter to a high flow performance filter (drop in), Throttle body Polishing.Then get exhaust headers and a performance muffler .Do not expect a huge gain from it.If you are gonna mod it further get a performance fuel pump, Fuel pressure regulator and higher capacity injectors. I think it would be possible to Turbo charge it within that budget (not sure though)

Whats the amount your are willing to spend? To get more power from an engine it should inhale and exhale better. Therefore I would suggest a High flow air filter( Inbox) and new headers with a performance barell (*not a beat barell) If you want to increase it further more get it turbocharged
