Dear Experts I'm going to change the suspension of my Alfa 159 due to some rattles coming from front right and rear. Issues only lies with the front arms and the 4 top mounts. However, after a discussion with ITMC, I decided to change the dampers also to ensure the new parts will not suffer by old parts (the mounts are quite expensive). The choices I have for dampers are as follows; 1. Koni yellow sport adjustable 2. Koni FSD 3. Bilstein B4 4. Bilstein B6 I have been using Koni yellow adjustables in my Alfa 156 and they were quite good. But they were a bit stiffer for the comfort needed for a daily drive. Bilstein B4 is the OEM replacement but it is twin tube whereas others are mono tube. Now it's not everyday we drive like maniacs and only once a year we have a track day. So day to day comfort is also an important factor. Can you enlighten me with your experience with above choices? Thanks a lot in advance

Osaka_Dude is that your Alfa GT's front in your profile pic? certainly doesn't look like a GT though... well i might be wrong. after-all I'm not the automotive type of engineer. So my knowledge on how an alfa should look like might be low... But since we have not seen any Alfa GTs can you please upload a picture or two for us to see??

Well I have noticed something strange recently about the quality of petrol IOC (particularly the one near St. Bridget) - engine light comes very frequently Ceypetco - engine light comes every now and then but much less than IOC Laugfs - no engine light Navy stations - no engine light first i thought the engine light was due to some sensor issue and ITMC changed couple of sensors just to see the engine light coming up after a while. Then after a discussion with GTAm, i started to notice this happens only when i pump from the IOC whereas when i get the car from ITMC i pump from Laugfs Koswatte. I pump only 95 and also seems to be getting better mileage from Laugfs and Navy Any thoughts?

Check whether there is a relay to regulate the fan speed. May be your lower level setting is not working. Happened to me once..

Build quality of that car is superb. See it in metal and you'll see how wrong those so called reviews are.. i must say that i didn't try the Giulietta out with the Dynamic mode or with peddle shift as i didn't want to take a risk as it was not my car. but as per GTAm driving is much more fun than the 159. talk to ITMC and they will find you a very good car for a reasonable price. as per the numbers there are 6 or 7 cars running and i have seen another 2 at EuroSports showroom
-
I had a small drive in GTAm's new Giulietta a couple of days back but I didn't like it as much as the 159. Probably because of the difference between the petrol and diesel engines, manual vs auto and turbo lag. Ti is something like £28000 isn't it?
-
He's asking for something like 8mil. Yeah I'm running a 159 at the moment. If you need a 159 i doubt this is the only option with you because I don't intend to sell mine and I don't think the guy who owns the black car will sell it either. If you are getting down one, £15,000+ would be the UK price tag i guess.
-
As GTAm said no luck buying it with EuroSports or ITMC now. But there is one used car for sale YoM 2007 if I'm not mistaken. He's asking for a very high price tho. Will PM contact info if you are interested.

May be not on Elak!r!. But I'm sure most of the enthusiasts in AL would chose a manual over an auto... -
11 Reasons Why Hybrid Cars Are Better Than You Think
Alfisti replied to chams's topic in General Automotive
Seriously? You think quieter cars are better? From all I know we all petrol-heads love to hear a good engine note. -
If you buy a car like punto second hand, i don't think you have to worry too much about the resale value as the value is already dropped by quite a margin. i managed to make a profit out of my first car actually. bought the Alfa 156 for 1.4mil and sold it for 2mil. now which jap will giv you such a margin even if you keep aside the driving pleasure?
-
Well there's no difference at all. What all the hybrids do is going at 30kmph on the right side of the road and polluting the environment by making more traffic jams than tuk tuks.

I never thought it as a fake but who knows? but i never used any covers on the phone so i'm to blame for most of the cosmetic damage. however, they could've used aluminum body for such a high priced phone,,, just my thought It looks like there's a conflict between Italy and Korea
-
Totally agreed. Dude i bought mine 100k+ as soon as it came and it was the biggest disappointment i had out of a phone. silver colour peeling off, scratches everywhere on the back cover, crashing at least twice a day... So glad I got rid of that shit... Never ever Samsung again...

Accleration Problem After Long Drive
Alfisti replied to hatharasinghe's question in Mechanical problems
Check the following; 1. Lambda/O2 sensor 2. TDC sensor 3. Air flow sensor 4. Throttle potenso sensor/ throttle body itself 5. Thermostat valve/ water temperature sensor car is most probably getting an intermittent error and should be in limp home mode as The Don said. quite unusual the error to be not stored. some of this may be not in your make of the car but these are the common issues as far as i know. Worst case might be a bad ecu just saw this is an old thread but thought this'll help
