Why the Prius not in the list? It was one of the most talked about cars this year.

I'm planning to replace my front tires within next few days. So far I found bridgestone and price is 22000 a tire. I could find only that brand for the same size (195X55X16). can someone tell me if it's worth it or if I can find another brand for cheaper price.

Most people still stay away from hybrids becuase they don't trust the hybrid technology. Even after 15 years. So I highly doubt the same people would opt for the so called hybrid versions of Europian/ American manufacturers,considering the fact that all of these modles are in their infant stage and they are bound to have teething problems. Besides we all know the reliability record of the Euro cars compared to Toyota. IMHO buying a Prius is like opting to travel by air. Some people fear it. But actually It(air travel)is the safest mode of transport.

machang don't you think this argument is going a little too far? People here don't actually hate hybrids (except for a couple of dumbasses), they actually hate the hype. It took me some time to realise that too. So It's better to try a different approach. And that 10000 people can't be wrong thing.... well that is not correct. You see there are 3 catogories of people who bought hybrids. 1) Peolpe who had no idea about hybrid technology but still bought them because of the tax cut, who thought they can save couple of bucks. They are being lucky. 2) People who did reserch and realised that hybrid technology is proven worldwide and they were confident of their choice. 3)People who did'nt have a clue about hybrids but still bought them becuase other people bought it. They are being lucky. I hope you fit into the 2nd catogory.
