  1. Is it true that if we replace the ECU we have to reprogram the new ECU?

I dont think so. Here are my points.

      1. If it have to reprogram what is the point of replacing a ECU (except hardware failure) ?
      2. Why it should reprogram ? if it can read the inputs form all sensors the ECU should serve well.
      3. ECU programming code may not disclose to public from any manufacturer because it is a property of the company.

Only thing I can see is, rewrite the millage if you overhaul the engine. But the millage is not storing inside a ECU. So that is also not applicable here. May be they have created a business like servicing cell phones.

(I am not a ECU expert and commenting based on my electronic & computer programming knowledge)

    Engine Braking

Probably your brake distribution between front and rear brakes went out alignment after you replaced those components. The brakes adjusts itself after using it for sometime.

    Engine Braking

Engine braking automatically takes place when you take your foot off the pedal in gasoline vehicles. In diesel vehicles engine braking is evident mostly in vehicles with DPF due to return pressure from the exhaust. Also I have noticed some transmissions automatically downshift when you are coasting downhill. To answer the OPs question, you need to build up some speed for engine braking to happen so I don't think it's possible to do it in heavy traffic
  4. The W123 looks so damn good next to the W213
  5. If you are looking for used wheels check in spare parts shops. You can get it for cheap
  6. Does this look like a Vezel copy to anyone else?
  7. Well I'm amazed that the manager took responsibility for your loss and offered a new set of tyres for a discounted price. Kudos to Autodrome
  8. Isle of Man is some next level insanity
  9. The reflection you get on the windscreen is caused by dashboard polish applied to the dashboard
  10. I just realized that adults are on 4X2 mode while toddlers are on 4X4, hence toddlers have better traction

When very drunk also one tends to switch on 4wd as maneuvering becomes difficult

Almost all of them start having problems with their 4X4 systems within about 2 years and switch to 4X2... after that the 4X4 system only works intermittently as @tiv has mentioned. goes to show how unreliable 4X4 systems are.

  11. It was a 90s thing, I remember Shiffer had it in his Corona, it looked alright. They dont suit modern vehicles anyway
  12. Were any of the 2 door RVR brought down to SL?
  13. I don't think that's even possible. ? Why would a doctor need a bus?
  14. These pics are going rounds on Facebook, people are claiming it is the new Hiace 300 series, although Toyota hasn't confirmed it. However, Toyota did report sometime back they are planning on a releasing a van with a bonnet. They hinted that it would either be Hiace or a van similar to Hiace. I'm not quite sure about these specifications because the van in the graphical picture looks much similar to a 100 series Regius
  15. You wanna import bus with doctor permit?
  16. Umm no infact second market has sort of gone up because of rising yen car sellers have reduced their imports.
  17. I assume this doesn't include agents who deal with student visas I know atleast 3 people who got into US through this.
  18. Allion is made for the Japanese so the user manual is only available in Japan. You could translate it using Google translator
  19. I think that site only includes the agents who are based in Australia itself. I was told we need we need to get the agents verified from the Australian high commission in Sri Lanka. There are loads of bogus migration agents who rip off people's money.
  20. Even 4300K HID is somewhat difficult to drive with in rain. As TIV mentioned if you are going down the route of HID/LED you need to have a set of yellow bulbs(halogen or 3000k HID/LED) in your vehicle. Would it be taxed? I have brought down HID kits in the past and they came through customs without a problem. Is it legal to have 3000k headlamp bulbs?
