I guess this noise is mainly due to high idling speed during cold start. These atkinson cycle engines goes close to 2k RPM during initial startup for about a minute. My aqua is going similar from day 0.

But from where you get electricity to electrolysis of water? It has to be the alternator of the car and more electricity consumed = more load on engine. So still no net energy gain. If you can source electricity to this system without getting it from car's electric system, then this will work. ( like roof mounted solar, portable nuclear generator, some black magic....)

Chemistry and physics in this universe does not support to do this. What that diagrams says is H2O >H2 + O2 ( by electrolysis ) Send H2 + O2 to intake and let it burn inside engine which reduce fuel consumption. Start and end of the reaction is H2O, so there can't be a net energy output. Electrolysis of water is extremely inefficient process, so there will be net energy loss.

Most probably engine washing is the cause for this mess. I generally ask service folks to not to wash engine of my Aqua and only use blower to remove dust. But blowing does not remove oily dirt. Is there any disadvantage of dirty engine bay other than it does not look pretty? When I inspect engine bay, there is a huge ECU on the firewall in behind inverter assembly. I don't think that these units are 100% waterproof.

What is the garage which you took the car. You should not let regular baas type folks to mess with these computers on wheels.

If anyone wonder what takes to generate a pressure of a average pressure washer, you'll need 1KM tall water tank to do it !!!

I can 100% confirm that latest toyota hybrids do not have this inconsistent power output. Only older toyota and honda ( insight and civic) hybrids have this issue. They way how it solved is by not allowing HV battery to go below around 40% charge. So for a quick acceleration, always enough juice is available. I have tested my Aqua's 0-100 time with different charge levels and it was always 10sec. However if battery is low, engine will rev more. So you cannot guess acceleration by listening to engine sound.

Does hybrids needs anything additional to petrol?

What is your vehicle? I have seen Mobil 0w-20 in many places but never seen castrol. A*W is the castrol agent but probably they do not import 0w-20 as they do not import Nissan or Maruti cars which needs 0w-20 oil.

Most Japanese head units in JDM vehicles shows time by taking GPS signal with Japanese timezone and there are no manual adjustments. This problem is also exists in my Aqua's head unit too. Fortunately, there is a manually adjustable clock in meter panel and I just used to ignore time in head unit.

If he is driving in rush hour traffic, these numbers are ok. My alto did around 10kmpl in daily office drive from maharagama to kollupitiya. After few thousands of Km, these fuel figures will slightly improve.

Most probably selling your car and buying an Alto will be a better and cheaper option.

AFIIK Alto 800 engine is a non-interference engine. So even timing belt broke it won't cause a damage to engine, engine will run just fine once timing belt replaced.

While damro sells innovex pressure washers and vacuum cleaners, when I went to a damro showroom last weekend to buy few plastic chairs, I have seen they are using a karcher vacuum cleaner to clean store . That explains about reliability of their brands

Max voltage difference threshold of prius battery pack is 1.2V. So you pack have some more time. You will be able to find a prius battery cell for less than 100$ in ebay. BTW what is the mileage of your prius. Sometimes loose contacts in battery pack also cause such voltage drop. In such case, cleaning contacts and refitting pack will solve the issue.

Only problem with these domestic type pressure washer is, those are using brush type motors and eventually these brushes will worn out. In my last karcher K2 pressure washer, brushes worn out after 6 years and these brushes are not replaceable according to agent. It was cheaper to buy a new washer than replacing motor of old unit . So I bought a another one . But if this one busted within couple of years, I'm going to buy industrial grade washer which runs on induction motor.

If you go to TL, they will charge about 2000 for changing battery . If you do it yourself CR1632 coin battery will around 250 and will take 2mins to change

Most electrical related fires happens in vehicles due to our makabaas type after market work. One of my friends Honda insight started indicating hybrid system malfunction after installing a head unit and when inspecting, he found that electrical guy drawn main power supply to head unit via small cable which going to signal lights. Gladly few fuses were blown, if not it will be a honda on fire .

Prius/Aqua engine compression ratio is about 8:1, so 92 octane is more than enough.
