Well at least they haven't blocked this site - it's testing times and automobiles are grounded mostly with the ongoing fiasco. But there's a treasure trove of knowledge, experience and anecdotes in this forum - maybe time to fire up at least some fun threads - like we did during the pandemic lockdown #1 in 2020?· 1 reply

I wonder if any of the governing types have an ounce of common sense. They restrict imports of spares, lubricants and then do not carry enough fuel to run one of the main sectors in an economy. They talk about electric cars when there are 10 hour power cuts, they should jolly well know that electric cars are more expensive than their fuel powered siblings apple to apple.· 3 replies

Day by day the 'Hit' automative quote in SL is making sense is'nt it. "සබ්බං පහාය ගමනීයන්" - Must leave everything behind.· 19 replies
Anybody else, contemplating on leaving SL ? I know its not the forum for this classic debate. And it has been argued back and forth. But are there any rational to stay. Because I can'nt find any, apart from parents.
p.s. I have been very firm on staying here in SL until these recent developments. But even if these issues in the country gets temporary solved by some loan, will there be any assurance things will get better and remain better in future.
Leaving parents, your assets here to start from 0 in an unknown setup with lot of risks. Is it still worth, the way things are going right now ?
