Sorry for being a little rude, but if you look at what the OP has posted its quite stupid. For one he is comparing a Hybrid sedan with a list of SUVs. An X-Trail is not anywhere in the price range he is mentioning, the Montero/Santafe are Diesels and which Sorento is he thinking of ? For a guy who has spare Rs 5million bucks its rather silly in my view. Its easy to list down 7 vehicles without even specifying the year model etc and ask for opinions, but that's not the way someone who is serious about investing such a lot of money goes about doing it. But given a choice I would go for the Montero Sport 2008/07 Deisel M/T. This is the best deal. All these are permit vehicles which are up for sale after the 3 year time, the guys have bought Duty free so the price they quote is based on the duty free price, that's why the 2008 Diesel sport is going for something like 5.5 plus is made in Japan and will hold value better than the new M Sport. M/T so its pretty good on fuel and very good 4x4 capability, low millage compared to a X-Trail.

So the M/T car is Rs 1.6mn ? is this with VAT.
-
Is it a converted WRX/Sti ? , if so you may have a issue since the book may say 1,500cc engine while u got a 2,000cc and u haven't paid any luxury tax. But as long as you got the same engine number marked (kotala) on the new engine (since this is whats usually done rather than going through the RMV process ) you should be ok. I seriously doubt our cops will go to that extent of checking anyway. Sound system has a volume control right ?

You are cleaver enough to have earned Rs 5 Million bucks , so you should be able to figure this out. Asking for random picks from a list of 7 different vehicles is a little silly..

I have been just observing and boy there are hell of a lot of Viva cars on our roads....
-
I think the color thing has very little effect, its true that light will reflect back on white/silver surface but the impact maybe not much. A lot to do with the size of the windscreens, as this is the main place where heat enters the car. When I had a Honda EK3 had the same kind of issue, the guys at Atco said the factory condenser was small, and did not do well in our heat. So I fixed a bigger condenser and I think the fan was also changed. There was a noticeable difference. The B4 is also not that great in the scorching sun, I only drive in the morning and evening and the car is parked under a shed

Will Hybrids Fail Or Succeed In Sri Lanka?

Not very easy when its a Panamera... -
mmm.... looks like the number of KMs the car has done is not necessarily a good indicator of its condition. Usually a car that is driven daily tends to have lesser issues. But why would you want to replace the water pump ?

The Autoglym odor eliminator is by far the best I have used. There is no specific fragrance but it only cuts off the bad ones. http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product-proddetail.asp?v06VQ=MH&Range=3

If the a/c is cooling only at high revs, chances are your compressor is having some issue. So running it like that will make it worse and u many need to replace the entire unit. If the car is parked in the hot sun ,always put the shutters down to let the hot air out , it will put less strain on the a/c system. You might see an improvement in cooling. Another thing would be the 3M clear tint for the windscreen, the dash is what gets heated up the most so the a/c needs to work its ass off to cool it. One guy in office got it done any says there is a significant improvement in cooling. Anyway try out ATCO, so far I dont have any complaints about them...

Nice.... !!

Modifications ? could be anything from converting 110 double cabs to SWs, Evo Sti conversions and not only the sound gadgets....

You need to be represented by a lawyer, though the guy hardly says anything I too think that's how it works. Read a story of a 60 year old drunk lady !! in a Merc had knocked down 2 guys on the road Friday night.....

Name : Dinendra Age :35 years Living in : Kotte, closer to Nugegoda Studied at : Presidents College Kotte ( O/L ) Gateway ( A/L) Occupation: Accountant, yeah.. pretty boring right.... My grand father worked for British car and my father had a few Euro cars. The first car I drove was a Nissan Datsun, which was my other grand fathers car , good memories. When I started work I got a 1.5 doctor sunny, then moved on to a Honda Ballade (EK3), sold it and got a Mazda 323 ( Company car ), currently using the B4 as a daily runner. Its a black car hence the handle carbon B4. Had a Suzuki Jimny, Swift Sport, Chevy Cruze as second car but now have a XL-7. Used to collect a lot of matchbox cars when small, my favorite was a black Ford Mustang. Love basket ball and used to swim competitively but now its not easy... I have always loved the Defender 110, and owning one has been a dream, now the 110 double cab is somewhat within the my reach, maybe in a few years time I will be able to get my hands on one.

Noticed you are in Nugegoda, so where do u normally go for a/c stuff ? I usually go to ATCO on Stanley Thilakerathne, guys are pretty good and seem to know what they are doing.
-
Thats exactly what I told u..... but did u pay a lawyer ? Hate call those guys lawyers pretty demeaning to the profession.
-
Nothing in Kurunegala ? I though this is the place for second hand Jap bikes. Plenty of shops on the road, u just need to keep looking I guess.
-
You mind is going everywhere, VW Polo, Suzuki Jeep , Jimny , buddy van..... Try to focus , 150kg of luggage is nothing much, equivalent to 2 people. Look for a manual station wagon and u should be ok. Toyota SW s are whats given for the CTC reps, pretty good on fuel and can carry a lot of stuff.

Yeah, my bad, .... haven't really written her name that often.

Mahesh Malawarachi of Mal*key rent a car, pretty decent Gentleman. I used to rent a few jeeps from him for a NGO, service was great but very expensive. Good to see Rai on this show.... would be good if Wahab spoke a little slower.... and do they really need to kill time with that music ? They could use that time to better explain the engine in more detail.

mmmm..... bent chasis, cracked engine, de-tuned, anything else u can throw in there ? There are less than 5 black cars that look like my car, so there is no big secret. What u are saying is Jehan did not do a proper job with the chasis and Darin did a overhaul and his guys missed to see this crack of yours on the engine. wow.... Speak to anyone and they will confirm this is still one of the better maintained B4s out there. Its not 100% perfect and there are few things that need to get done. You still say I tried to sell it, but without any proof. Who it this guy I was talking to " hush hush " ? You say he is on A/L so there is no reason u cannot tell us who this mysterious person is.... remember my bet is still on. Anyway I am quite amazed at your level of interest in my car, I think we should meet up.....
