This car is the only Pulsar VZR N1 in sri lanka.Only 200 vehicles were produced. The RMT app shows now it belongs to Vallibel Finance. So i want to find this car.(find means to buy it or at least to drive it if not possible to buy it).If u know where the car is at now please be kind enough to send me the details.Thank you.
1.there was a recall on april.but it was only for 2013-2016 february models.so if u go for a zero milage, you'll be okay.anyway the hybrid system in vezel is very complex than the one in toyota,so more chances of getting trouble.ride is not refined and bumpy.
2.if its a zero you dont have to worry abt it
3.axio hybrid-considerably underpowered and stiff ride.but not stiff like the vezel.
prius-should be the best bet when it comes to reliability.handling is better than axios allions and premios.a bit powerful.comfortwise its okay.but you have to sacrifice ground clearance.and the dashboard is very cheep looking
axela hybrid- best one in looks, performanecw and handling.has the toyota hybrid system,so it should be reliable.
Maybe the windscreen.???.other than fuel economy and the leakage issue i've never heard anything bad about it from an OWNER.anyway durability of the overall car should be better, because it is designed for sl roads.
Why i mentioned that it is,
-undepowered(because only a few units are available in 1.8l engine.so far i've seen none.if u go for the diesel the car itself will cost a fortune)
-build quality(some doctors i know who got it for their permit said quality problems such as leaking water from the roof)
-reliable(oh i forgot 141 should be more.no cvt so less maintainence)
Anyway Axio can't beat the looks of the 141.Even if u own a 141 with red dash number most people will think you are a doctor ???
jMajority of the allion/premio owners are like this.
-Most of the time they drive the car to office/town and back to home (no chance of having the driving pleasure???)
-For overtaking 3wheelers,LALs,good old other vehicles the 1.5l engine is more than enough.
-After paying the loans monthly, taken for their houses and vehicles, only a little is left of the salary.(so unable to maintain european rides)
-Their main purpose of driving is to save as much fuel as possible.
-They want a troublefree simple ride
For these requirements the premios/allions fit perfectly.
The best example is my father. We've been having the 121 for more than 4 years but he is yet to hit above 4000rpm.But he does enjoy cornering in 121 saying how light the steering is.The good thing is he never calculate the fuel economy since the first few days after owning the car.For him a troblefree, bit comfier and easy ride is enough.
The funniest thing is that most owners of allions/axios/premios doesn't even know that their car has no gears to change.More than 95% of them doesn't know their rear seats are adjustable.????
Axio is better in every way than the 141, except their looks.axio is more,
-economical
-powerful
-comfortable
-reliable
-well built
-range of grades to choose(X,X limited,G,G limited,Luxel vs LX,GLI)
I told what the owner said.before i bought the car,i inspected n17,n16,fb15,mazda axela.Anyway what you are referring should be a brand new imported one, which has stiffer suspension setup and high ground clearance.what i mentioned was x grade jdm.there is a well noticable difference beteween the ride quality of a jdm and a b/new import.but the seats of the sunny are too soft and makes u shrink???.another friend of mine got a 1.3l manual xli yom 2006 with same odo feels like travelling in a lorry.
The problem why people believe allions and premios are the most comfortable, economical and sportiest is the price they pay for them.8 million for an allion and premio.pure econoboxes.but in usa u can get a brand new lexus ls for that price($63000).the funniest thing i've ever seen is the toyota corolla's brand new import price which goes over 10million.we are paying the same price that american pays for a full size luxury saloon, for an econobox.as the opposite the most pathetic thing i've seen is the merc e-class 2004 kompressor goes for 4 million while aqua cost more than 4million.simply "MEKA THAMAI ASIYAWE ASCHARYAYA"
I myself own a H number, but many people asked me about the car.after a week i bought the car there was a price hike and a guy was ready to buy my car for 5lakhs more than the price i paid for it.if u have any garbage from toyota u can sell it here in sri lanka
One of my friend owns both N17 super saloon 1.5l and corolla 121 x grade 1.3l auto.according to him 121 is far better.he says it's more comfy economical and better to drive.he also mentioned thet he will never sell the 121.i don't know the truth but he said so.also he is the one who persuaded me to go for a 121,and has been owning the car for more than 10 years
Your best option is i think the corolla 121.but the problem is finding a well maintained one.last week i had a strange experience.one of my relation's honda fit gp1 suddenly stopped and then we took it to a garage.then he had to replace the whole gearbox because the previous gearbox was cracked and the clutch is destroyed.cost him 120k.after replacing the gearbox the mechanic told that the 'check engine' sign lit up.then he took about 2 days and repaired the whole car with his teacher (mr.sarath madanayake).what he said was the car had been damaged while it was in japan, and the sensors were not correctley connected.therefore an i.c in the computer box also had been removed.the car had only done 19k kms.y.o.m 2013.and the car was in pristine condition.
what i have to say is don't rush.get the car checked well by the agents or a specialized person before you buy it.infact is saw in ik**n.lk the whole engine and gearbox of the 121 costs only 70k,while the gp1 gearbox costs 120k.
Eventhough the wagon r is newer and more economical than the 121 the ride quality of the both car differs alot.if an engine is noisy the long journeys would be tiresome.so the wagon r engine is pretty noisy and also located closer to the driver.when travelling at speeds over 60kmph the engine cries.
just make sure your choice would make yourself satisfied after the payment.
Ah just forgot to mention,i've driven a wagon r hybrid.car is spacious.driving position is nice.bumpy ride.acceleration is poor.can't bear the crying engine note while accelerating
If u get ur hands on a well maintained 121 u won't be dissapointed until u take those bends in break-neck speed.body roll is there.manages to take corners somehow but scares u a little bit.i myself have one for over 4 years now (2000 yom,g grade automatic) car never gave me a trouble.once u buy a 121 get some cash ready for some running repairs like engine tune-up,transmission fluid change, steering rack repair,ac cooler repair, suspension repair (shock absorbers, tie rods etc) if it has around 130k on the odo.anyway those repairs won't cost u a fortune.the 1.5l model has enough performance for day-to-day driving and sometimes i feel the power is amazing for a 1.5l car.for long journeys the car is very calm and relaxing.steering is numb, and light.pretty spacious.good on fuel.best i got so far is 19.5kmpl.handles bumps well.if u plan to buy one go for 2002+ yom model which has nicer shell and rear lights.
I'm extremely sorry...today i went to the garage and it was a GP1....sorry...i was in colombo during the last week and it was my father who had help him to take the car to the garage.i checked the car a bit and it was just as a new one..my father had mistaken it as a GP5.anyway the garage owner said that the car is a limited edition one so it has a different gearbox.he said the problem is with the clutch.he said the gearbox is different from other fit's.when i checked a little(because the car was covered with a cloth so i cannot fully open the door) it had cruise control and a totally different original navigation unit.seemed to me as a limited edition.and the plates are CAN .
Hi everybody!
One of my relation's gp5 (2013) which has done 17200km broken down when they were travelling from kandy to colombo.he said that the car has been sitting in their home for too long without running much.when we took it to a garage the mechanic said the whole gearbox need to be replaced.it is a hybrid version.he went to colombo to buy a new gearbox and he had found one for 125k,but only gets a 7 days warranty.for the price we pay the warranty is insufficient.i just want to know a place to buy the gearbox with at least of 3-6 months of warranty,or is it just the warranty of 7 days that we get from everywhere???
Cheers
Yup that's right.110 also got multilink.as a cost cutting effect they moved to torsion beam.newer corollas allions and premios and axios handles potholes and patches pretty well than 110 and carinas.but the car sways on bad roads.i think thats becoz of the torsion beam.prius also got the torsion beam until 2016 model.that's why toyota claim it is "sporty" ????
That's right....he'll might wait till next year.at the moment fd1 is nearly hitting 4mill and also a15 240 facelift goes over 40.before the price hike,i saw axios available for 2.9mil(apple green, done more than 100k).most of the axios available are not in good condition
I checked all the threads regarding fd1.so fuel will be not much of a problem.here in kegalle most of the roads are not yet carpeted.other than that he usually travels a lot.so comfort should be a plus point.he is the one who drives and that's why he prefers 1800cc.a18 might be comfy but it is much more harder to find a well maintained one.axio in other case got enough oomph as 1500cc.luxel is hard to find.but axio is not much stable when cruising over 100kmph and also handling is not much inspiring to drive, together with the loud crying cvt.as a long distance traveller, he prefers comfortable ride, but doubts whether the civic is on the harsh side.if it is a little difference, not a problem.he needs advice from someone who had driven both civic and axio
He doesn't like the look of the lancer ex and according to him mazda 3 lacks interior space.that's why he had narrowed his options to 3 cars.among them,he is more attracted to fd1.
i too experienced that axio has considerable amount of power as a 1500cc.but lacks stability when cornering at high speeds.also the due to the rear torsion beam the car feels like swaying on bad roads.same with the allion.i'm yet to drive a fd1.he too.
Yap...lancer ex is rare.but for me the rear end looks ugly...but the front, oooh love it....anyway interior is cheaply built, except the lovely meter panel.in many reviews i saw complaints about the overly high road noise.but definietly lancer would be a better ride than those toyotas in terms of driving dynamics.for me honda looks just right in every angle.what i like most is the length due to its longer wheelbase.interior looks like a spaceship.that two-tier instrument panel will pop eyes of many.?????
I once went to kandy in a 1000cc vitz.car is pretty much ok.but when i returned home, unlike other days i felt really tired.although i didn't drive it,i think partly it's due to the noisy engine.1300cc should be more refined.fuel consumption wise it's good choice.in that case, imo i think Ist would be better.its got the same engine that 121 got and pretty solid engine.if u hope to travel long distances more frequently go for ist.if u do city driving most of the time go for the vitz.
IMO 2.5 million for a hatch is too much.if u need a small car and low fuel consumption,u got no other choices left in this price bracket.
