Im looking for some info on the 2 door Toyota Corolla II Windy hatchback model. As far as i know this car comes in petrol and diesel models(EL41?) anyone know if its a good car? How is the fuel consumption? Easy to find spare parts ? Any info is appreciated.

sorry to bumping this old topic i found a ep91 starlet (301-xxxx) for 14 laks ..the price is good and the car runs very smooth and all, no problems with the car but the only problem is that the original book is missing and the owner has a duplicate one. will it be a problem when i resell it ? i think the reason this car is selling at such a price is because of the duplicate book, all other 301- starlets are going for 1.6m+ i read all the replies in this thread but since its almost 2 years late thats why im asking again. thanks for any feedback

found a 301-xxxx 1998 EP91 starlet for 14 laks, the price seems too good to be true..even a 65-xxxx ep91 is 1.6m or so going to check it out today. will report back here with its running condition

sorry for bumping this topic again we have ruled out the ae100 as its difficult to find a good car from that model im looking for some feedback on the starlet ep82, some say its a good reliable and economical car ..i have heard some negative things about this car aswell. what do you guys think? or is it better to add a few more laks and go straight for a ep91 ?

Nano is good for the price but im looking for something a little better and not so embaressing to drive around. My dad will be buying the car for me, and he has told me that he will not even consider anything other than a toyota, honda or a nissan. thats his mindset, i cant do anything to change his mind. lol my requirements are simple a reliable everyday car should have a 2nd hand value easy to find spare parts So far the only cars im interested in are civic eg8 1992 and ep82 1993 starlet. i drove a friend's 800cc maruti and that piece of shit stalled everywhere.. :/ Its just not my type of car

Thanks for the replies so far @terra and Amila G - Yep, it takes like 1.5-2 seconds for the car to start in the morning. And there is no black smoke(just a little bit when i push the accelerator halfway down) @The Don - It has been there for a while but only recently we really started noticing it. Going to take the car to a garage in town, will let you guys know how it goes.

Non turbo, 1800 cc, dont know about the pump, and its auto gear. Yep, we had a FB14 before and before that a Mitsubishi Strada(such a beast, I wish we kept that but my dad sold it) Back to the car, For e.g - when the car is going up a mountain road(kandak in sinhala terms xD), even with the accelerator pushed all the way down the car wont speed up. We have checked everything, even contacted a bass few weeks back and he agreed when he took it for a test drive, but even he couldnt find the problem. We never had this problem with the previous vehicles. Also this car has been running fine for almost 7 years now, no repairs, done around 125,000 KMS, new timing belt and all that. EDIT - Just wondering, how much a CE110 LX Crystal light diesel model car is worth these days? (English number - GG-xxxx) I always wanted a 92 Civic or Lancer CS3 but my dad just loves this car cuz its diesel-_____-

Our family car is a Toyota Corolla CE110 Crystal light LX model(diesel ), my father has been complaining about the acceleration of the car saying its too slow and he is not wrong, I took the car for a spin and I experienced the same thing, the car just wont accelerate even when I'm pushing the pedal halfway down it still won't accelerate like it should be, its almost like something is pulling the car back. Any idea what this could be ?

Go for a Mitsubishi lancer flat/L light. My dad bought a L light lancer like 4 years ago for 1.25 laks, we used it as a second car in the family. it ran well with no problems and spare parts were available. http://autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=76235 think about it brother, if you are going to fully restore a cortina its going to take way more than 2 laks these days. its best to save up a little more go for that ^
