    Tyre Prices

Is there a noticeable quality difference between japan, indonesia, thailand made tyres? Should i always go for japanese manufactured tyres or it is not valid anymore?
  2. I saw this side mirror attachment (Could't see what the car was or take a pic). It was attached/hanging at the very end of the passenger side mirror. My guess is the driver can see where the passenger side wheels are when parking etc. (Both passenger side wheels) Is there a place I can buy something like that? No its not this : https://goo.gl/vAeG9C But something like this but hanging on side mirror:

  4. Nono i don't own a swift. I initially thought its coolant leak after reading OPs question. So looked at a workshop manual and saw heater core at center of dash.
  5. Initially i thought it is coolant leak. But after a google search, it seems the heater core is at the center of the dashboard. Since the leak is at the passenger side of the dashboard, it's unlikely to be coolant.
  6. What is the situation of Kurunegala - Dambulla road these days?
  7. Or go "Biscuit kudu, Biscuit kudu ..."
  8. Why you need a beat silencer? Its perfect if you are doing the whole exhaust upgrade. Else you will become just a fast and furious ricer. If you decide to go for it, then it might increase fuel consumption. Also consider the constant "beat" you will hear every time you are driving the car. I had a beat silencer fitted to the car I purchased and after a trip to matara and back, I removed it immediately.
  9. Aha.. That explains.. Thanks
  10. I have no idea about petrol tanks, but isn't those designed to get fuel from the lowest point of the tank. To get maximum amount of petrol from the tank? If it's the case then even we have a full tank, the pump gets fuel from the bottom of the tank ?? And dirt will be sucked in anyway???
  11. Are these LED bulbs available in local market? if so what is the price of one and where to buy? Ebay has for around 1USD
  12. You can use this site to get a vacuum diagram of your car https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/Mitsubishi Go in a region and select the model and look for CK2A. Then select the model code. Vacuum diagram is in ENGINE \ EMISSION CONTROL. Most of our basses will mess-up the vacuum lines. So take it to a reputed guy. Also make sure the vacuum lines are not blocked. Once I found a small metal ball in a vacuum line.
  13. I always thought other way round: if both vehicles are stopped, vehicle going up needs to backup and give way to the vehicle coming down. When two vehicles meet on a steep road where neither vehicle can pass, the vehicle facing downhill must yield the right-of-way by backing up until the vehicle going uphill can pass. The vehicle facing downhill has the greater amount of control when backing up the hill. (http://apps.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/hdbk/right_of_way.htm) So if both vehicles are moving and there's room for one vehicle to pass, then vehicle going down needs to stop and give way to vehicle coming up. If both vehicles are stopped and neither can pass, then vehicle going down needs to backup and give way.
  14. Thanks for the input guys. I think I did the same thing with my previous car with "Butyl Tape" as Davy suggested (was not sure whether that was the correct way to go at it that's why I posted here ) Anyway, bought it from an auto paint shop in Kandy. Came in a pizza box shaped package, black tube kinda thing rolled like a mosquito coil. Cost me around 1000 rs as I remember. Can cut small chunks and stretch it to fix the sheet.
  15. Riddex REPELENTE DE ROEDORES Just kidding
  16. Thanks The Don
  17. Guys, anybody know what kind of glue can be used to glue the waterproof film inside the door panel to the door? I read in one site to use blue-tac but isn't that expensive? What can I buy locally? Ideally it should be re-sealable.
  18. Usually basses do this when there is a leak in the heater core inside the cabin. They simply bypass the radiator with a hose. So if you are thinking of reconnecting the hoses make sure the heater core is not leaking.
  19. At last Button got the seat. If it wasn't for Kimi and Button I would have started watching WEC.
  20. Dust caps: Black ones will be brown after a while. But the silver ones I have never faded.
  21. I admire you trying to get something rare. But since its a A-to-B car I think you are better off with a more common hatchback. Because you will have issues finding parts and you will have to wait a bit when selling. I was considering Mazda MX3 and Mitsubishi FTO as my 1st car (daily drive) and I'm glad I changed my mind. Because of more practical reasons
  22. What about Kandy > Gampola > Nuwara Eliya > Haputale > Balangoda ? Given most are A grade roads ??
  23. Thanks guys.. Google maps suggested via Hatton road. Wanted some feedback from someone went through that road
  24. Guys, What is the best road to go Balangoda from Kandy at the moment. (Best = no ongoing road work + minimum pot holes). Thanks...
